fresh grad here, VERY anxious of my career as well. i've been applying to job postings for HR TA/Recruitment since june but i still got no luck. may kaklase ako na kailan lang nag-start mag-apply, last week or two lang and he got hired just yesterday. fresh grad siya pero natanggap sa role na need ng 3yrs exp. his hr manager told him na swerte pa siya kasi pagpatak daw ng august, marami sa mga company ang hindi na maghi-hire ng new applicants since di na daw papasok sa probationary period nila ang January or February wherein mas optimal daw magtanggal/may umalis na employee. this was backed by our professor who's in the HR field as well and told him tama siya at ganun daw talaga majority

help, i'm so anxious kasi ang dami ko nang pinasahan ng resume pero i haven't heard from anyone yet. i don't want to compare my timeline to others, pero sobrang naa-anxious talaga ako since most of my friends have work na :(

After 1 month of job hunting, I'm officially hired and accepted!! Kinakabahan ako pero at the same time excited huhu. Lurker lang ako in this subreddit but all the advice here really helped me in landing this. This is gonna be my first adult job. Im set to graduate this September, so Im very lucky to land a job before officially ma-tag as "graduate".

Question lang huhu. Since I started applying palang, I've been busy mass applying kung saan saan and I didn't fix my NBI, SSS, Pag-ibig, philhealth, and tin, and need ko na daw ito by Monday next week. Kaya ko ba ito maasikaso with my timeframe starting today? Will it be a bad rep if hindi ko pa sya makumpleto by Monday? Thank you!

I resigned last Dec 2025 and have been job searching ever since. I applied to more than 300+ jobs, I'm on Kalibrr, Onlinejobsph, LinkedIn, Indeed, Glassdoor, Jobstreet, Facebook and Reddit groups/pages, and still wala pa din. After those 300+ applications, I've only gotten 3-4 interviews, and only one where I made it to the final interview (this is after 4 rounds for an assistant position, then may task pa na pinagawa). I have 4 different CVs and cover letters, all ATS-friendly, clear and formatted well to explain clearly what I've done.

I'm not asking for a handout naman or even high pay but sometimes naiisip ko nalang kung ano bang mali ginagawa ko haha. I'm desperate to get a job and I have years of experience in the field I'm applying in (Marketing & Admin/Operations), but there's either a rejection waiting in my email in the morning or just plain silence. It's so heartbreaking (heartbreaking??) minsan feel ko nababaliw nako kakahanap na para bang ang bobo ko na tao ganon. I don't know, I hope this is okay to post because I've been thinking of pivoting to another career but if I can't even find a job sa field where I have experience, paano pa kaya yung sa magsstart ako from scratch 😢

Hi everyone! I need your advice on which company I should choose.

For context, I’m 23 years old and currently living in Quezon City. I have 1 year of experience as Customer Service and Business Operation Specialist.

Option 1: Nestlé – Shared Services Associate
Salary: ₱27,000 (I’ve already emailed HR to negotiate since I also need to consider my transportation costs.)
Work setup: Hybrid
Location: Meycauayan, Bulacan (around 2 hours one way from my place)

Option 2: Accenture – Order to Cash Associate
Salary: ₱27,000
Work setup: Currently onsite, although I’ve read from several Reddit posts that it may eventually become hybrid depending on the project.
Location: Cubao (only a 15–20 minute walk from where I live)

Aside from the salary, I’m also considering career growth, work-life balance, company culture, benefits, job stability, and which company would look better on my resume in the long run.

If you were in my position, which would you choose and why? I’d really appreciate insights from people who have worked at either company.

Hello po, baka may alam po kayong hiring at tumatanggap ng fresh grad and newly licensed mechanical engineer? willing naman po ako matuto and masipag po ako, sobrang hirap makahanap ng work lagi hinahanapan ng 1-2 years work experience.

Recently graduated last June, and I’ve already been applying for jobs (online) every day. But still no luck. I’ve already submitted 80+ applications to different companies but only got less than 5 responses (4 rejections & 1 interview). I know that it’s still early, but I want to find a job already.

Seeing other fresh graduates struggling to land a job due to the lack of experience required for the position made me think: Why do companies expect us to have experience in this and that when we are just fresh graduates?

And now I’m close on getting a job, but upon researching about the company, people claims that “Don’t work for this company or that company because it has a toxic work environment.” But as a fresh graduate, do we really have the choice of rejecting those opportunities? Given that there’s no certainty we’ll even get a response or an offer from another company?

Hello everyone, Computer Engineering graduate here. So mag 2 months palang ako sa new job ko and I don't think na mag ta-tagal ako. The moment I stepped in sa office is di ko na feel agad na healthy yung work environment. I have 6 months prior experience, Umalis ako sa first job ko since very disorganized yung boss ko pero company benefits like HMO, leaves after regularization, payroll (very on time) is good. Unlike dito sa second job ko di pa ako na-o-onboard, wala pa ako na-pi-pirmahan or anything, di pa nagagawa payroll acc ko kaya either cash or gcash lang sila, and yung boss is nag e-expect ng senior role. Understaffed din kami, 2 lang kaming nasa IT department.

I am in the field of Web Development / Software Engineering, I know saturated yung field na to pero nandito yung passion ko. But it really sucks lang na ang laki ng project and nag de-demand and nag e-expect ng good results without any supervision. Very tiring din ang schedule dahil 7:30am-6:00pm ang schedule and yung sweldo is mababa (no tax).

Ang draining lang ng work environment and never ko na-experience ito sa past work ko other than sa commute. I would appreciate any advice kung ano gagawin ko since I don't think na kaya ko mag tagal sa ganitong work. Thank you very much!

I like my current job because the people are great and the workload is very manageable. We are work from home and only need to go onsite when there’s a big meeting or when our work events take place but we are given accommodations to sleep walking distance from the venue. We have a very small team of 8 not counting the other staff we outsource for the event proper. Plus, work life balance is great. I am able to do a lot of personal stuff outside of work and have flexible time for family and friends.

Our gov’t benefits are paid for but we are contractual and “May” is our break, meaning my contract is June to April only. We were given a bonus though that matched our monthly salary to cover May even if we were not under a contract.

I am also allowed to do side projects, as I teach an online art class once a week for a children’s foundation. I’m also facilitate are workshops on weekends, but the pay is very minimal and it doesn’t happen often.

I worked here since 2019-2022 took a break for health reasons until I was asked to come back last 2025.

Half of me wants to stay for another 2 years or maybe even 5 years since my husband and I plan to have a baby, and since it’s work from home I think I can manage. My bosses too are very understanding.

The other half of me wants to explore career growth, I earn within the range of ₱30-₱40k net. This was fine when I was single, but now that I am married my husband and I want to save up more for our future home (we live with my grandmother who gave us a partition of her house and she asked us to stay). We also want to have a baby in the next 5 years or so. What is stopping me is that I felt so lost in 2022 to early 2025 on what work or career I can grow too. My strength is more on account and project management but I am lost on what to up-skill on.

May I ask for advice? Should I just take it per year and assess at the end of my contract if I want to continue? Am I overthinking or getting way ahead of myself?

Curious lang ako, kayo ba mas pipiliin niyo yung mataas na offer pero medyo unstable or yung medyo lower pay pero alam mong maayos yung sistema?

As a panganay, medyo nagbago na rin kasi priorities ko. Nung nagsisimula pa lang ako sa online work, basta mataas yung offer, go agad ako. Pero habang tumatagal, na-realize ko na hindi pala enough yun.

Mas importante pala yung alam mong on time ang payment, clear yung workload, at may communication talaga. Ang hirap kasi umasa sa malaking rate kung every payday kinakabahan ka kung papasok ba yung sweldo o bigla na lang mawawala yung client.

Siguro dahil breadwinner din ako, mas gusto ko na ngayon yung may structure. Kahit hindi pinakamataas ang rate, basta consistent at maayos katrabaho, mas panatag ako.

Yung current company ko ngayon, isa sa mga na-appreciate ko is hindi kami hinuhulaan sa schedule at communication. Alam namin kung ano yung expected sa amin at kung kailan ang mga bagay-bagay, kaya mas madali mag-plano lalo na kung may pamilya kang tinutulungan.

I have an application with BPI, and it's much closer to my home. The problem is, kagabi ako nagtake ng assessment and wala pa silang update, so I'm not sure if I should keep waiting. Fresh grad here (IT) and may job offer ako that’s around Php24k net. Decent naman yung benefits and leaves, pero honestly yung biggest selling point sakin is yung setup. Fully remote siya and wala ring strict na time in/time out, basta matapos mo lang yung work mo. Based din sa interviews, okay naman yung culture, relatively known company rin, and aligned talaga yung role sa degree and career path na gusto ko.

Napapaisip lang ako if worth it ba piliin to over a higher-paying job na hybrid or onsite (finished two final interviews that mentioned i can get up to 30k). Feeling ko kasi sobrang laki ng matitipid ko sa oras at pagod dahil walang commute, plus id have to relocate for the other jobs, tapos mas okay din yung work-life balance.
