Have any of you folks installed a winch using the "Jimnybits hidden winch plate and tow points"?

Any pictures of the result?

Due to my living arrangement i´m going to have to car camp for almost 2 months and the Jimny is my only car so it will have to do the job. I have already solved the storage problem by getting new roof bars and a roof box, i will also buy an inverter so i can charge my computer and get one of those electric iceboxes if i need it even though i think i won´t.

Now i have to solve the bed issue, i think if i remove the backrest from the passenger side rear seat and fold the front passenger seat back i can make som sort of frame out of wood and put an air mattress on top, im about 178cm tall so i don´t think it will be too uncomfortable, im also planning on making window covers for all my windows for privacy even though i already have tinted windows. It´s the peak of summer where i am right now but my jimny has AC so i can cool it down before sleeping if it´s too hot so i really think i can make this work.

Has anybody done something similar? How did you do it and do you have any tips for making this more comfortable and safe?

I came across this Suzuki Jimny in Daventry over the weekend and couldn’t stop taking photos.

It’s been fitted with the DAMD Little Delta body kit and the paint finish is perfect. The entire build, including the paintwork, has been completed by my friend Chris at Big Bear Kustoms. Even the racing stripe has been painted rather than wrapped, which looks epic.

The white OZ Racing wheels finish the look perfectly and give it a rally inspired Lancia Delta Integrale look and stance.

It’s one of best Jimny builds I’ve seen in the UK.

I'm new... opinions on winches for Jimmy's please / which do you have?

My jimny (2001) needs new shock absorbers on the rear, and I'm wondering if there's any that would make my ride a bit smoother.

Which ones would you recommend? I'm thinking maybe koni or bilstein? Im from the Netherlands.

Finally managed to find another Jim in the wild and there was a space next to her!

Due to some external circumstances, I won't be able to keep 2 sets of wheels/tires anymore. I live in Osaka, it ranges from 38℃ summers to -3℃ winters. I was thinking about switching to Toyo Open Country ATIII or Yokohama Geolandar AT4 (both 215/70R16) for all-year-round tires, buying chains for when I need to go to a more snowy/icy area (maybe 3-5 times per year). Both types have the M+S mark, and are approved for winter highway driving without chains.

Is this a realistic choice? Would be happy to hear from people who get by without dedicated winter tires in moderate climates.

I have HF air compressor installed for 2 years now so installing locker won’t be much inconvenience.

I've been considering alternatives to permanent roof tents considering the whole landscape surrounding dynamic load, tipping etc just isn't something I want to navigate. I've been looking at inflatable tents that you can remove and inflate as and when you need it and the obvious answer was the peakpod but the cost of the tent on top of shipping internationally from Japan and the customs fees associated with that is beyond what I want to be spending.

With all this in mind, I've been looking at the QUECHUA inflatable camper tent and I'm wondering if anyone has any ideas on if it could be made compatible for my 2022 3 door Jimny?

Got a no-drill snorkel, but the tube is really crap, takes power instead of air 😅

So now got a Momentum GT air intake and disconnected the snorkel tube. Will replace it with an inox tube, anyone experience with that?

I have a 2018 Jimny and I’m a camping enthusiast. I was actually just looking for a good roof tent. I’ve already bought the Thule roof rack, but I wanted some advice from someone who’s already tried a product, in the hope of figuring out which one is best for me.

I’m well aware that dumping the clutch like that is downright stupid, but I bought the car yesterday and was just trying to have a bit of fun! I can still move the gearstick into all of the gears and the clutch still feels normal, however when I put it into gear and take the clutch off, nothing happens, it sounds as though there’s a very very slight rubbing/grinding from under the car but the drive shaft is still all in one piece. Has anyone else had this issue?

Edit for clarification: nothing fell off the car and nothing appears to have broken underneath like a cv joint or shaft, and there’s no fluid leaking.

Bonjour , bonjour à tous , j'ai une question qui me turlupine depuis avant hier concernant un bruit qui m’inquiète peut être pour rien mais bon .. jimny de 2022 avec 22300 km acheté il y a deux jours chez concessionnaire , garantie integrale bymycar

Quand je passe la vitesse du point mort vers la 1 ere , au tout début et pédale bien à fond et en mode 2h , normal quoi , il y a pendant 1 seconde il un bruit de crissement léger mais audible 4 fois sur 10 à chaque fois que je passe ces vitesses 1vers 2 n pendant le passage , comme si les crans de l'embrayage se frottaient en ne s'emboitant pas comme il faut . j'ai lu aussi que cela peut juste etre un bruit de " vibration " qui se produit à un certain nombre de tour minute " cela m'irait ou la chaine de distribution ...?

ça ne gêne en rien la conduite de la voiture mais comme je viens de l'acheter vous comprendrez que ça me contrarie , sinon pour le reste je l'adore et l’apprécie . c'est la voiture que je voulais sans regret aucun

Question et surtout besoin d’être rassuré , que dois je faire , est ce grave , normal , besoin de vos avis avant de faire jouer la garantie vers Suzuki Cannes ?

Je serai bien embêté de devoir déjà faire réparer un vehicule de moins de 2/3 jours vous voyez .
