Miscellaneous Stateside Scramble: The Recipe

I don't know if it was intentional, but "Stateside Scramble" sounds to me like something you would find on the breakfast menu (served all day) of a traditional American roadside diner, or a bar-and-grill. So I decided to make it.
The fixin's are food items seen in the game, with a few exceptions: The eggs are there because it's a scramble (plus: chicken). I subbed hash-brown potatoes, because chips in a scramble just wouldn't be right.
No AI was used in the development of this recipe. No spoilers for final episode.

Ingredients (imperial units, because America)
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 3 cups frozen hashed potatoes
- 1 diced onion
- 6 fast-food packets of ketchup
- 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper (or more, to taste)
- 6 large eggs
- 8 individually wrapped slices of American cheese food (or the equivalent Cheese Whiz)
Instructions
- Sculpt butter into a farm animal[IA], then melt in a nonstick or cast-iron skillet over medium heat.
- Add potatoes drizzled with ketchup[CN], and onions[SZ] and cook until lightly browned, stirring occasionally.
- Meanwhile, beat eggs and mix with cayenne pepper[TN].
- Pour eggs into skillet with potatoes.
- Unwrap 7 slices of cheese[SZ] (or spoon out equivalent Cheese Whiz) and add to the skillet.
- Continue cooking, stirring to scramble, until eggs are done.
- Remove from heat and top with 1 slice of American cheese[SZ]
- Serve with a bourbon-and-coke sour: 2 parts bourbon[KY], 4 parts Coke[GA], 1 part lemon juice[MA], on ice[MN]. Or margaritas[MV].
Serves 1 American.
Optional add-ons:
- Green peppers – commonly added to cheesesteak sandwiches[SZ].
- Strips of cooked chicken[TN] or steak[SZ].
[CN] Canada, ketchup chips
[GA] Georgia, Coke flip
[IA] Iowa, butter sculpture
[KY] Kentucky, bourbon shots
[MA] Massachusetts, Revere walk w/lemons
[MN] Minnesota, frozen lakes
[MV] Margaritaville
[SZ] SnackZone, cheesesteaks
[TN] Tennessee, hot chicken

The Single Best Episode of Jet Lag: The Game?
I'm nominating Jet Lag: The Game at this weird little media awards show a class in my college is doing, but in order to do so, I need to pick a single episode to represent it. So I ask reddit this: what do you think is the single best episode of Jet Lag: The Game, or the episode that best exemplifies its strengths?

Speculation No Tag Eur It this year?! Spoiler
It's late July 2026 and I am assuming by this point we will not be getting Tag Eur It 4/5(whichever you'd prefer to call it). If memory serves this is typically filmed in June and airs September/October. So by that logic it's too late for the usual dates.
What are your opinions for going away from this stalwart JLTG format? Or are they possibly going to move the format to a different part of the globe this year? We will see how the jets lag.

S18, E6 Margaritaville question
Since there's a Margaritaville in Ontario if Samy hadn't claimed Canada already could this wild card have been used to get Canada?

Is nebula worth it?
I’m a new subscriber (stumbled upon rail rush) and I really want to be able to watch the layover, but I’m not sure if nebula is worth it. For reference I am in uni and binged all of JLTG this summer. Thanks!

Speculation New season Japanorama inspired by Tokaido?
For those of you who don’t know, Tokaido is a board game which is inspired by travel. (And specifically travelling through Japan!).
The board is a long one way journey, where you can choose to stop at any of the landmarks along the way. Each landmark is a different type of travel experience - shopping, scenery, food, relaxation - and give you points which you accumulate for the end of the game. Player with the most points wins (as they have the most fulfilling trip!)
A couple of points of interest if the latest season is inspired by Tokaido:
- Tokaido’s scenery landmarks literally ask players to build a panorama! It would be a neat tie in
- The core mechanic of Tokaido is that while players are free to move to any space (they just arent allowed to move backwards), at the end of each day, all players must reach a set inn. Would this be the first season where players are expected to end the day in the same location? And the location will be known?
- Tokaido is fun because you can choose custom players which have different powerups. Would that be incorporated (i think unlikely)
It would be so cool if it was Tokaido inspired, for travel to inspire a board game and then the board game to inspire a board game travel show!

S18, E6 Final combined Jet Lag USA map through S18 Spoiler
Season 18 in the books, every county is marked within Jet Lag for Seasons 1-2-4-8-18 combined. Badam exclusively went to Brooklyn (Kings County) for the Pastry Mile in S2.
Red- Badam
Gold - Sam
Green - Both sides
Airport layovers within security also don't count, which is why Sam has Anchorage, Badam has Maricopa County, King county didnt count until S8 etc.
This also shows how both teams didn't reach Grand Canyon National Park grounds, which is Coconino County. The Helicopters and the rideshare go into Mohave county.
Thanks to the Minnesota based fans for correcting the MN portion, which I have to complain to the production for getting the path from Sam's lake (Mankato) to MSP incorrect making up a graphic instead of communicating with the players. The bridge shows an I-35 route from the South instead of coming from the west into the Mall of America.
Some states barely clipped, others just revisited on the Acela seen in S4. A sleeper train puts Ohio in Gray for not being shown/visited in any capacity.

Miscellaneous Could we get an ÖBB flair for us austrian jetlaggers 🥺🇦🇹
The ÖBB has honoured JLTG by putting the Snack Zone in their new trains, I think it is only fair that this sub should add an ÖBB flair as a sign of mutual respect. Besides, we did see some ÖBB action in a few seasons - even if it was just for a few train rides here and there :)
EDIT: Tyvm, eternal glory to the mods 🫡

Stateside by PinkPantheress & Zara Larsson would've been such a great intro song
I get that they the licensing would've cost more than all of the flights but it still would have been so cool to have that in the intro, maybe with both teams recreating the music video.
The overlap in the venn diagram for this is definetly just me.

What is the correct way to pronounce Samy?
SAM-y with the short-a vowel from Sam's name?
or sAMY with the long-a vowel from Amy's name?
