Chrysler (FCA US, LLC) is recalling certain 2026 Jeep Gladiator and Jeep Wrangler vehicles. The walls for the steel wheels may be too thin, allowing them to crack or detach, which can result in a loss of vehicle control.

Remedy

Dealers will inspect and replace the steel wheels and valve stems, as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed September 4, 2026. Owners may contact FCA customer service at 1-800-853-1403. FCA's number for this recall is 05D. Vehicle Identification Numbers (VINs) involved in this recall will become searchable on NHTSA.gov beginning July 23, 2026.

I am looking at a 22 gladiator overland with the 3.0 Eco Diesel, I have 0 experience in newer jeeps and less experience in the Eco Diesel world. I currently have a 24 Colorado Trail Boss and have found a decent looking gladiator I was considering trading my Colorado in on. My questions include, are the 3.0 engines reliable or are they as awful as I have seen some reviews make them out to be? It would be a light off roader and camping rig as well as a daily driver for work which is about 40 mins one way. My next question is, is the full delete necessary to make these engines reliable and keep it running well for a long time, I ask because if I decided to trade it would be a while before I could do the full delete and tune on it if I could gather the patience to do it these days. Aside from the HPFP recall is there any other information I should know before I look at the gladiator Friday evening?

I just picked up my gladiator a week ago. A 2022 sport s with 16k on it. I’m trying not to mod it too quick but in order to prepare for the big ones, I like to do my research first.

Can anyone tell me a good lift, lift kit, and tire and wheel setup to go with when I’m good and ready? I heard there’s a potential for re-gearing but I’d like to avoid that if possible.

Normally I drive this bucket around doing regular suburban chores, it works fine and the removable top and doors give it character.

Get it off pavement and it really shines though.

Hey everyone, looking into getting something for my Gladiator, stuck between the Superchips Flashcal+ or the ZAutomotive Tazer. Does anyone have experience with one or the other, or even both? Any help or advice is greatly appreciated.

Just completed an amazing 2350mile road trip with my 12 and a half year old son.

Montrose, CO through Salt Lake to Boise. Ran Jeep Badge Trail Lost Trial in Idaho. Two badges in WA, Naches (ish) and Skyline. Headed over to Astoria OR for a Goonies tour and everything that goes with that. Tires touched the ocean on sunset beach nearby, down to Tillamook for Jeep badge Cedar Tree. Home through Moab, hit Gemini Bridges for fun, then the 160 mile off-road trail digital badge Rimrocker from Moab to Montrose through the wilderness.

A week ago I drove from home in Florida to Hammond LA (enroute to work in NW Louisiana) and picked up this '26 JTR X. I traded my Hydro Blue '21 Rubi for it. I was planning on a Mojave but ended up with another Rubi.

Some differences - the steering feels so much nicer, as does the shifter. I think gears shift smoother, too, but it's close if they do. I now have heated leather seats (not a fan of the leather, and why in god's name are they not vented nor have a memory function?), and adaptive cc (the camera housing creates a new blind spot). I do prefer the older grill.

I don't remember who the member is, but thank you to the fellow redditor that suggested this dealership.

Thinking of getting myself a gladiator. And if I get one I’d really want a bed cap for it. That being said I’ve always enjoyed taking the tops off jeeps I’ve had in the past, how does that work for you guys with hard bed caps? Is it easier having a soft top over the cab or a hard top? And if I had a hard top and a hard cap would it even be possible to fully take the top off? Just wanna get some ideas, haven’t really seen any pics of tops off and caps on. Thanks in advance.

Since Wednesday last week I try to buy a Gladiator. They changed the price 5 times on me with the excuse that the rebates changed. Started at 39k now at 47k. Cash deal, no trade, nothing. Is this normal? Also the huge rebate differences? First car they sold before I could send the money, then they raised the same care with more extras to 42k I said fine send the invoice. Didn't happen because it was too late on Saturday. Today they want 47! Because Jeep changed the rebates. How on earth can you trust a dealership this way? I even got the deal sheets. I now have an offer in Dallas that's at 44k with less extras and I am kind of thinking to walk away. How common are these huge price changes?

And yes, that's a bit of a rant.

The title says it all. I've always wanted a Gladiator. On paper everything tells me I should keep the Toyota Tundra, but I love the look of the gladiator. I drove one last week on a trip for work and took it down some trails in the evening. It was a blast! I'm curious if anyone else has come from a full-size to the mid-size. What I'm I giving up other than the obvious towing capacity and power? I know how they drive and it was fine for me on the highway and in town. I also like the customization they offer. What are some of the drawbacks that may not be thinking of?

Alright y'all talk me out of trading for an RHO. My local dealer is being very generous with their offer and I fell in love this thing is a riot to drive.

Been eyeing this thing up for months now and finally decided it was time. Relocates the seat back 5 inches so way more leg room for me. Install was pretty simple, with only real issue being lifting the seat out of the cab. Definitely recommend if you need extra leg room.

I purchased the heavy duty PPE aluminum transmission oil pan with included filter for my 2021 Jeep gladiator 3.6 L with 69,800 miles on it.
PPE recommended to reuse the metal gasket, I purchased a rubber one as well just in case.

Has anyone else done the upgrade?

I found ZF 8 on Scamazon for $159 sold by WIT or WHATEVER IT TAKES transmissions llc in Kentucky.

They sell 8 quarts on Scamazon for less than they do on their own website!

According to all information I have been able to cross reference, this is the exact gold standard transmission oil that should be used in this transmission.

I'm looking at a rubicon but it's at 101k miles and my financial advisor is saying no. Is this a jeep that will outlast that with regular upkeep and maintenance?
