Google FDE Japan
Just finished my coding round and I sucked. I'm fairly experienced in LLM and client facing, is there still a chance I might get it?
Background is I'm a data engineer -- never through the leetcode hell before. I asked for 3 days for prep and went through most common DSA and dynamic programming.
Long story short I didn't solve it in the interview. The interviewer was late, none-engaging, on his phone the entire time and I had to ask twice to get a response most of the time. Regardless, it was a medium-ish question and I could've solved it once I'm not under pressure.
My questions are:
I don't think this really represented me, any chance I can get another chance, or it is what it is?
I was following the guide: clarify, thinking out loud. but the interviewer barely had any reactions to my thoughts or questions, he just... didn't care at all. This is a bad sign and my points of making my thoughts heard is pointless? And he called off the interview early without any feedback. I'm not sure if this is normal.
For RKK I'm fairly ready. I've personally worked in the exact FDE-like environment and has track records. That said, would there be a shot for me even coding didn't go well?
Sorry for the long question.
