Spur of the moment purchase today at an auction. I don’t know anything about Jaguars but I guess I’m gonna learn. 35k miles, carbon fiber inlay.

I've replaced the oil cooler and the sleeve. I was expecting it to line up perfectly not sit slightly cockeyed.
All the parts/orings brand new and lubed up so I dont understand why it's sitting like this.
Not feeling putting the super charger back on if this is going to be an issue.
Thoughts?
It's a 2016 F-type R

So it won't be any time particularly soon, but I am toying with the idea of an XJS as a weekend cruise/road trip car.
I know they have a bad name for reliability, I have a mate who is an ex mechanic telling me it's a terrible idea, but I've loved the shape since I was a kid, they're in a nice little rarity/affordability bracket here in Aus, and the idea of driving a few hundred km behind a big understressed V12 appeals in some kinda way.
What are some things people can tell me about the cars issues? Are there engine or year models that are particularly susceptible to some issues? Transmission versions to look out for? Typical modifications to look for or even do myself straight away? As I mentioned I'm in Aus so is there room for better radiator etc?
Any and all thoughts appreciated.
Pic for attention (and representative of the model/year range I'd ideally be looking at, I don't like the later ones tbh)

Hi all
My Jag has just clocked to 70,000 miles. It needs a few things doing to it. Can you advise if you would do anything else at this point please.
On my list is

Pedestrian warning light
Active headlights
Parking sensors
Thank you all for any advice.

I live in Ontario, and own a next type, and I’m having a hard time getting both parts and a mechanic to work on my 2003 Jaguar X type. I’m willing to travel to get it looked at, currently I’m in Sudbury, but will be willing to go as far as Kitchener or Ottawa. Let me know if you found a good mechanic or company that will fix or repair a Jaguar X type.

This watch was my great grandfathers he was a Jaguar owner and I presume also a member of a “Jaguar Drivers Club” where this watch was custom made in a limited quantity of 30 likely around the 1980’s. Made out of solid 18k gold with an automatic movement and a genuine crocodile leather band. With a Jaguar Drivers Club emblem. Anybody ever seen one before or have anymore information?

Recently bought this 2017 XE 25T and done a good amount of work on it myself as i do most of my own mechanical work on all my vehicles, the last two things left are rear brake rotors/pads and the motor mounts.
I've seen mixed messages online about the difficulty of those jobs to do yourself or if it's worth the hassle, my euro mechanic wants $212 labor for the rear brakes and $360 labor for the motor mount if I supply the parts myself if not its $1'600 for parts and labor. What would you guys recommend?

I am experiencing a specific audio routing failure between my Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra and my Jaguar E-PACE when using Android Auto.
When the phone is connected strictly via standard Bluetooth with Android Auto *disabled*, media audio plays perfectly through the car's speakers. However, the moment wireless Android Auto initializes, the system terminates the standard Bluetooth media connection but fails to successfully establish the new audio sink over the projection protocol.
While the Jaguar's infotainment screen displays the Android Auto UI perfectly and the media app shows that a track is actively playing, there is absolutely no sound output, neither from the car's speakers nor from the phone itself. Furthermore, the Jaguar disappears entirely from the Samsung's "Media Output" menu during the active session.
There are no active VPNs or mesh networks interfering with the local Wi-Fi Direct routing, and standard workarounds have not resolved the issue. All components (Pivi Pro, Samsung device) are updated.
Well, I hate to say it, but I'm at that crossroads between moving on to another car or investing in this one. I owe about what it's worth to no financial win/loss either way.
2014 XF AWD Supercharged right at 100k.
Current situation:
The bad-
Had a miss, engine light came on
Squeaky/with out bushings in the front suspension
Maybe a motor mount? Shudders when shutting off a bit
Supercharger belt showing it's age
The good-
Zero rust or body issues
Clean interior other than the stupid sticky buttons
New tires, wheels are perfect 19"s
Brakes are new.
Replaced rear axle and hub assembly last year along with teams fluid and filter. Regular oil changes etc...
At 100k and this not being an xk/XJ/F type or summering really cool and being if the "normal jaguar" variety in not sure which way to go. I work from home so rarely drive anyway so dropping a ton on a new car doesn't make a lot of sense, but putting another 4-5k in a 5-7k car... Ehhh.
Help, wise people.
Anyone self programmed a new remote? 2003 S-type 4.2.

Hi everyone,
I recently graduated and started a new job, and I'm planning to buy my first car within the next year. I've always been a huge fan of Jaguars, and I'd love to own an F-Pace especially now that they are ending production of their internal combustion engine (ICE) vehicles.
I'm aiming for a budget of around $40,000 USD and looking for something with roughly 30,000 miles. I’m primarily interested in the 6-cylinder engine option, but I’m willing to consider the 8-cylinder (SVR) as well. I plan to use this car for at least 4-5 years.
Since I have never owned a car before, I have a few questions for the community:
Any general tips and suggestions for a prospective first-time owner are also welcome! Thanks in advance.
