Just a theory here: we here in Europe are waiting for IG to activate the Reels bonus any moment now, so in my opinion until now, they have been dividing their budget amongst all the US account instead of giving their intended, more realistic goals, and now they are preparing to redistribute the same budget between a lot more accounts.

In addition to that a lot of European accounts(me included)have been noticing a giant drop in followers gained, reach and engagement. Mine have been basically halved just during the last week, even though the quality of my reels has been significantly better than ever before.

With just around 5k followers, my reels would get 60-120k views and every like 10th reel would do even better with views ranging from 400k up to 1m. For the last two weeks the numbers would look more like 3k-8k average and up to 70k every 5th. I have read online that they were planning a 200k views goal and 500$ monthly payout hard limit for Europe. I would have reached that with just one or two reels and I guess that's IG's way of motivating me to do more reels......

I really hope that's just some kind of transition phase that will return to normal soon.
