Genuinely, its sad how pathetic they are when compared to even someone as dumb as Cersei, and the saddest part is that this is absolutely NOT what the writers are trying to portray. The fact that they failed this bad at it is crazy.

So many scenes show Cole as basically the father figure to all of Alicent's children. Even Helaena whose on the spectrum, there's a scene where she gets scared and grabs onto Cole right away. This makes sense when you consider that King V was not a very attentive father to them. When Aemond loses an eye and King V refused to do anything, who did Alicent immediately ask to get revenge for her? Cole. And dude pulled a knife knowing he'd have to fight every Kingsguard in that room to fulfill her order. Of course Alicent loves Cole, he's basically the stepdad to her kids and spent more time training them and listening to their problems than their own father ever did.

Aegon immediately turned to Cole and made him hand after firing his grandfather. Cole definitely wasn't suited for that role but that's how much Aegon and the rest of Alicent's kids trust and rely on him.

I don’t think they’ve interacted on the show since the childhood scenes in season 1.

He's like my favorite character in the show currently as he gets more unhinged per episode. He'll prob turn out to be more of a POS regardless but something about his demeanor and smoking schtick makes him authentic that I just can't help but root for.

Somewhat reminds me of the character of Lalo Salamanca who's also from the opposing family and introduced in the later seasons. Also his actor is crushing the role obviously, cant wait to see what Ormund has left planned in his sleeves

Aemond could have just flee on his own ,gold clockes join daemon the moment they saw him comeback to kings landing or actually daemon calling them instead of just invading kings landing with rhaenyra

scorpions would give up the moment they saw 4 dragons coming, alicent and rhaenyra scenes are just exposition waste of time rhaenyra could have been easily be more cunning and show that she is somehow smart to get the info on her own instead of getting it from alicent , haelena pregnant and escaping is a waste of time if they just escaped in ep 2

I like season 3 but just throw her in prison or make her do something interesting develop that giving up aegon plot and let us know what she have in her mind

am i the only one who is genuinely enjoying this season? the visuals are great, the characters are interesting, i‘m enamoured in a way incomparable to last season.

and yes, you could critique the show endlessly, but that wont change the writers nor make your viewing experience more enjoyable.

Context: From what it looks, Sunfyre appears to be in a coma. Halaena Targaryen in the show is pregnant with Aegon’s second son (Maelor, as named in the books).

From ASOIAF books, legend says that “only death can pay for life”. (It is known). Now, I’m thinking is it obvious how Maelor’s alleged death/blood sacrifice might wake Sunfyre back to life.

Thrones s1, we know Daenerys put Khal Drogo and her stillborn son in the fire alongside the witch to wake her three dragons from stone. I’m thinking, is it possible for Halena to perhaps burn Maelor alongside herself to awaken Sunfyre? Waking dragons from stone amid salt and smoke - stone being Aegon’s dragon scale, salt being the tears of Halena and smoke being Dragonstone (the location where Aegon is headed?).
