Hi everyone
I’m looking for hoof boots (glue-on type) for our horses, ideally suitable for 3D printing. I own three 3D printers, but I’m still quite inexperienced when it comes to design and modeling.
So I wanted to ask if anyone would be willing to share STL files or models – I’d also be happy to pay a small amount for them.
We used to rely on Amyboots, but unfortunately they are no longer distributed here in Switzerland. I’ve already spent a few days trying to design my own model. Printing itself works fine, but creating a well-fitting hoof boot is where I’m struggling.
I also tried scanning an old Amyboot with my iPhone, but I’m not making much progress with that either. I did manage to create one model, but I’m not really satisfied with it.
I’d also be very interested in how you handle sizing and fitting.
Thanks a lot for any help!
Best regards
Elias
Hallo zusammen
MFG
Elias

What is the best way to play horseshoes at a public park with no pits? Do you just hammer the stakes into the grass 40 feet apart and start throwing or is there a better way to set up some single use pits?

How would you score if someone throws a ringer and then the opponent throws a leaner on top of it? Does the ringer get the points And the leaner just doesn’t count? Sorry I don’t have a picture for reference!

I was told recently that my driveway used to be the beginning of an old road. The man's grandmother had told him there was a road there and her father told her when she was a child. They used to own the land. Tons of arrowheads and pottery found in the area as well

Hi, I don't know anything about horseshoes, Found this out in the old stone garden wall. I reckon the weird hooks are for some kind of traction thing. Lots of deep bogg dirt mixed with boulders and moraine, rough and slippery woodland terrain. But the hooks are bent the "wrong way" according to google. Any ideas what I'm looking at??

I like to play horse shoes but know nothing about them. I never owned a pair until now. How are these?

I'm about to build a Horseshoe pit out at the farm and found this diagram. Now I'm wondering what in the heck are the purpose of the "Imaginary Stakes"?

Hi, I'm m having trouble finding good guides online on what shoes to get.
I'm going to be putting in a NHPA regulation setup with sand pits in my yard so a full set including stakes would be great. I would love to try out sets at a store, but have nothing like that near me and want to be confident before dropping $200 bucks for 2 pairs and stakes.
My pitching grip is overhand with reverse flip
Thanks for your help.

Ok so I’m not competitive level with my horseshoes but I have always loved the sport, I have a banged up plastic covered iron core set that I use a lot during the summer. I’m a fan of lawn games but horseshoes takes the cake for me, where there is a lane in the yard just for lol I found this IMO INSANE set at a garage sale for yes, 30 usd!!! I had to share this with someone!!.. and none of my pals understand how awesome this is, I figure Reddit has some like minded folk, and here we are isn’t it a BEAUT!?!?!

How much should my shoe weigh? 2lbs?
Are the profession horshoes harder to use copaired to your normal set?
I notice the shape is different so I was just curious
My grandfather and father used to play horshoes and I just would like to start. I am searching for a good set that is "normal" I don't want them to be to light or made of a shoddy material.
Any info would be greatly appreciated
