I realized hidden object games are my go-to when I want to shut my brain off, but lately I keep bouncing off the ones I try.

I work from home and by the time the kids are finally asleep I usually have about 20 to 30 minutes of energy left. I want something cozy and pretty where I can finish a scene in one sitting and actually feel like I completed something.

The problem is a lot of newer titles drag scenes out with tiny items, constant pop ups, or a million extra systems layered on top. Last night I opened a game thinking I would do one quick level and ended up squinting at the same cluttered room until my eyes started watering. Not relaxing.

What I like: clear object lists, optional hints with no harsh penalties, and scenes that are not so dark I have to crank the brightness. A light story is fine as long as it does not interrupt every minute.

Any favorites that work well for short sessions and are not too punishing? I mostly play on a tablet but can do PC sometimes. I am open to older titles too. I just want that satisfying find everything, move on feeling before I pass out.

Which games are the best? Ive played ancient bane, eternity, The X, Axiom Butcher, The 13th, Lost Dreams, Personal Nightmare and Room 18. Is there anymore that are good/better?

I think this series is underrated, i always see people talking about mcf, dark city or grim tales never Maze. Have any of you guys played the series? Which were your favourite?

I remembered playing this game in around year 2023 or 2022 on Google Play store. It has a good graphics for unknown game. It has cool design of monsters. You can either play as the "seeker and one as the hider". If you're a hider, you're gonna have to complete a 6 gems with different color that's inside a box, and without being caught by the monster. It's offline so the other players are NPCs. Anyways the monster are so cool, if I remember correctly there's a masked man and there's a shadow behind him. Other monster I have remembered is a girl with flying "eye ball", a girl with umbrella and a clown. I don't know if Google has already taken it down but I can't find it anymore. I commend the creator of that game and I would say it has great potential if it has been always updated and or it can be played multiplayer or online.

Can anybody recommend some Hidden Object Adventure games? I prefer 2005- 2014 games.. I have the whole haunted hotel series, every cateia and artifex mundi game and the whole true fear trilogy. im just bored of playing the same games

This episode has a great story — your child disappears and you have to step into an abandoned parallel version of your world to save him. The guide covers everything from the beginning to the final escape.

If you're stuck on any part (especially the later puzzles or the ruby box sequence), this should get you through it smoothly.

When I was a kid my grandma had this game with an old lady and a white cat, and what I believe was a manor, or hotel... or something! But you went to different rooms, found objects, and cleaned/remodeled the building. I've been trying, for a decade now, to remember what that game was called, and how to get it. I've been on a mobile puzzle kick lately: word games, jigsaws, idle stuff in between. I keep trying hidden object games but usually bail because the scenes feel way too busy, more eye strain than a fun challenge.

I'm looking for hidden object games where:

- The item list is easy to read (larger text, good contrast, not tiny cursive)

- Scenes are detailed without feeling like random clutter pasted everywhere

- Hidden object hunting is the main loop, not a front for constant match-3 or base building

- Sessions work well in short bursts (5 to 15 minutes) since I mostly play on breaks

I don't mind a bit of story, I actually like a light mystery framing, but I am not after the super dark horror vibe. Timed or untimed modes are fine, as long as they feel fair.

Any recommendations for iOS or Android that fit this? If you have specific settings tips that make certain games more comfortable - for example turning off sparkle hints, switching to a text-only list, enabling zoom or larger UI scale, or anything else that helps readability - I'd love to hear them. I used to play it around 2017 or something like that, i always thought it was a part of the ravenhearst series but turns out it was not. The game has an eerie, dark and occult typa vibe. I can only recall parts of it vividly.

At the begining, there is a huge gate that we had to open by collecting gears to turn on and open it, i remeber that one of the gear is in the birds nest on a tree.

And then after that we reach a creepy little cabin with a freshly dug grave on the frontyard ( which have a creepy ventriloquist doll inside). Then we enter the cabin, the owner was not around ( im pretty sure his name is Dalimar, but i might be wrong) and we had to collect little pieces of notes from all around the corners to form a ticket of some sort.

And then after that we went to the basement wher we have to solve astrology type puzzle. These are the only thing i remember in order, some of the things i also remember:

* collecting fireflies in a jar and put them in the mouth of a frog statue.

* performing some typa ritual in an abandoned church to collect blood samples from a statue.

* And the later part of the game took part in an abandoned laboratory, where we spy a group of cultist.

These are all the things i can remember and i seriously need to find out the name for nostalgia sake. Please help.

i used to play it on my old ipad (idk wich ios or model it was).

basically this game was some sort of puzzle? you were trapped in a room and you had to find a way to get out (it was some sort of escape room), and when the timer went out the "Wasted" text (like the one from GTA) appeard on the screen. then you eother restarted from zero that level or ypu tried a different one.

it was in realistic visuals but in sone kind of 2D perspective.

the color scheme was always dark and gloomy. most of the rooms looked like basements and stuff.

there were no characters at all, just me behind the screen.

I love room escape games and theres this one i once played and cant find anymore.

It has many parts (each part an app of its own).

Its about a boy whos been born with terrible misfortune, in the first part his mother died giving birth, in another he went to theater and an actor died, later he also was at a restaurant where he ate human meat from another customer. the misfortune always affected people around him. He had this Rubber duck he always kept with him. I believe the last part i played was called something like end of curse.
