I've been playing Half Life for awhile now (maybe on my 12th playthrough) and I have played through Half Life 2 too (on my 8th playthrough). And I adore the story of Half Life 2 better than Half Life 1, but the gameplay? Half Life 1 takes the cake for me. Just a great experience/action shooter all round (minusing On A Rail and Xen for me). Idk, its just fighting the marines feel like an action packed firefight compared to the cannon fodder combine. Again though, combine is so cool to me story and look-wise, but the marines have so much going for them AI-wise (I mean the game came out 1998 and the marines AI is still so impressive to me). What are your thoughts on this?

Unfortunately, due to the constant movement and "combat encounters" at the festival, my armor plates lost some of their paint. The zombie headcrab cosplayer also suffered from some very careless cosplayers, who broke two of its front legs of the crab-helmet on the first day.
But we still had a good time!

I feel like a lot of people have some misunderstanding with Portal Storms and 7 Hour War so I’m just gonna write these down
The portal storm did not happen during Black Mesa Incident, rather shortly after, likely after The Nihilanth was killed. So the Xen Fauna/Flora were likely only locally to Black Mesa and it’s surrounding area
The Seven Hour War and Portal Storms were not the same event, I feel like this should’ve been obvious but a few had mistaken this
The Portal Storms were already raging on Earth for a while (days? Weeks? Months? Unsure) and the 7 hour war happened a while after Portal Storms happened
While a Portal storm did happen in Ep2, the beam into the swirling sky is not apart of the Portal Storm

I decided it would be a good idea to do an achievement run on my very first time experiencing episode 2 because god knows why.
This ugly, malformed chunk of ceramic plagued my entire time with this game and I want nothing more than to throw this insignificant piece of painted garbage into satan’s dumpster because even he wouldn’t want it around.
If this thing ever comes in contact with me ever again I swear I will smash it into an uncountable amount of pieces, and then smash those pieces into even more uncountable pieces.
Not one day passes where I do not hold this overwhelming hatred in my soul for that bearded pile of wasted clay. I wonder how it feels, knowing that its own flesh could have been used as a florist’s new garden.
I wonder how it feels, knowing that it could have had a purpose other than enraging anyone attempting to complete its attached achievement.
What a useless, ugly, likely stinky piece of junk.
I can’t wait to do the same in Half Life: Alyx.
