Job Question No longer allowed to wear the Team USA Jersey
I heard from one of my managers that as of today, July 22nd, we will no longer be allowed to wear the Team USA soccer jerseys as our work uniform. Can anyone confirm if that's actually true?

Job Question I just got hired as a cashier. Is it really that bad? I was excited
Im 16 years old. So I was mowing a bunch of peoples lawns this season but wasn’t making enough money so I applied to be a checker and got it. The pay is good so I was excited to get started at my first actual job. I feel like it would be a chill easy job almost like a video game. But from what I’ve read on here it is the exact opposite? I never really let things get to me so I think I wouldn’t have a problem with rude customers. And also I’m usually in a pretty happy mood. How long is it going to take before I’m burnt out? Everyone on here is making me nervous. I have onboarding training in a week.

Work Experience Best choice I ever made
I want to start this by saying that I had a lot of good times with my coworkers and met some very interesting people while working for HEB. The people who shop there are often kind and considerate as well.
With that being said though, the best choice I ever made was quitting.
HEBs corporate and management systems make the job a fucking nightmare most of the time. The IPM metric that barely anyone meets, the no 39 hour work weeks they make high schoolers work to keep their jobs, the blatant laziness of most managers while telling you to do your job better, the random drug testing, I can go on but you get the point.
HEB needs serious restructuring from the top down.

Work Experience Union?
Why doesn’t heb have a union, I feel like from what I’ve heard, many stores in almost all departments are at an all time low and the only people who are really benefiting are the higher ups, not even department managers.
I was wondering if heb has a union for partners or if there is one why I haven’t heard about it.

Suggestion They're putting so much less sushi in the containers --
I've always loved the HEB California Roll sushi, but in the last 5 years or so they've cut how much they give in those black rectangle containers so much. I wish I had photos from back then, but they'd line it up in three solid rows parallel to the longer side of the container, packed! They didn't count it by pieces like they do now. And it was like $6. Then few years back they started angling it with three smaller rolls, 45 degrees to the sides cutting I'd guess about 30% of what they used to give, and it's up to like $8.
Then today I was in HEB and saw now they're laying some of the pieces flat, which cuts how much they give even more -- and it's up to $9. Just not worth it anymore :(
Maybe it's just the sign of the times, everything is super expensive, shrinkanomics is real -- but it stinks. I do miss the HEB Chinese Kitchen they used to have, and ours even had a hot deli until about 2010 with fried chicken, fries, gravy, the works! I'd goto HEB for lunch almost every day, they even had hot coffee you could buy in the morning when shopping. Just not the same now...

Product Review HEB: Some of the Worst Meatloaf Ever
I purchased both a home style meatloaf tray and a bowl. Both were terrible. They appear to use the pre-packaged shredded beef (as opposed to ground beef) which gives a terrible mouth feel. Then the quality and taste was just garbage. Whole Foods does a great job with meatloaf so it was sad to see that I paid for two inedible meals from HEB (except I was able to eat veggies). I have got to start checking on how to get a refund for some of the sub par products from HEB.

Job Question Service Rep (Parking Lot Attendant) Hours
I’ve been accepted for the Parking Lot position and is still undergoing orientation/training. I would like to know how many hours I would get each day of work.
I have to work outside for my current job with 7 hours each shift and frequently exercise outdoor, so I can somewhat withstand the Texas heat. However, my current job allows for me to sit down often and stay under shade.
I put open availability for the position (until the 90 day probationary period is over) since I’m pretty much free until I start college again in the Spring. But I would still like to know if the shifts will be so long to the point of heat exhaustion.

Job Question Just got hired as an overnight stocker
How bad is it? I’m a pretty nocturnal person in the first place so I figured it wouldn’t be too bad, but I’ve been seeing people talk crap about it. I did get offered the job during my interview, which in my experience kinda caused some bells to ring, but I really need the money at the moment so I took it. What should I expect? I start Friday. Also do any overnight stockers have any podcast or audiobook recommendations since my boss said I’ll be able to have an earbud in on my shift.

Product Review TP of choice? ✨🧻✨
galleryOk fellow HEB folks, I’ve been using the Quilted Northern for at least a couple years, and I can I’m satisfied with it
But I was wondering would HEB's “Our Finest” Ultra Strong stand against QN?
For startes, it’s half the price, but QN has 3 ply sheets per roll while HEB only has 2
Anyways, I’d like your feedback on this
In the meantime I’ll go with Quilted Northern, cuz they’re about to close the shop in 5 minutes an I only have half a roll left, LOL

Pay / Benefits VOYA and 401k
Hi everyone at this moment I don’t work for heb and decided I would not be rolling over my 401k , and when I tried to log into my PartnerNet , I didn’t realize I lost access due to separation.
Has anyone had any luck pulling out their 401k by calling voya directly? Or do I need a new and separate login?

New Find FIFA World Cup merch on clearance 75% off
Saw several stacks of World Cup caps on the clearance racks at my favorite HEB location, Lake Austin Blvd. Caps are $5 and $7.50. Also saw a $30 tumbler for $7.50. Guessing other stores are clearing them out, too. Anyone seen other items?

Job Question Hired at deli - how is it?
hey! i made a post about a month and a half ago about how i needed to find a new job because i simply wasn’t getting enough hours working curbside at h-e-b. well, the hours never really improved sadly. some weeks would be really good and then others it was one seven hour shift. very inconsistent.
anyway, i’m transferring stores! starting august 3rd i’ll be in a new store and a new department altogether. i’m going over to deli! i’ll admit i’m nervous, and that’s the point of this post. how is deli? is it a chill department? i do not know what i’ll be doing behind the counter exactly. i forgot to ask during my interview lol.

Work Experience No one's talk about the hurricane?
Even today it was pretty slow in the store. Typically when something like this happens, there's endless amounts of threads about calling in and what not but no one seems interested about the hurricane.

Job Question Transfer Question
So I just transferred into a new location since there was nothing open near my home, I travel an hour to work(curbside). To be completely honest I hate it. I dislike having to drive all the way here the store is ghetto..for the first time ever im genuinely not happy at HEB.
My question is since I just transferred am I stuck here for 90 days no matter what? Or if I manage to apply for a closer HEB and get accepted will they allow me to transfer out again? I genuinely dislike it and I love HEB. It’s gotten me through college and I just feel like I can’t do it here. I just heard I have tk wait 90 days no matter what
Any info regarding this??
