So as all of you may know, or if you're new, you don't know. Duff used alcohol to self medicate his panic disorder beginning in his late teens. His pancreas eventually swelled to the size of a football and exploded in 1994 when he was 30. After that he decided to get sober and took up mountain biking, kick boxing and clean eating and shed 50lbs in the process.

I check out alcoholic forums online (due to curiosity) and a lot of people say that Duff is who inspired them to finally get sober. It can be hard to imagine a life for yourself past your 20s but he pulled himself up from the pit. I know GNR has also joined the suicide prevention movement and a lot of the members and their close circle have struggled with depression, suicide and self harm.

I also struggle with that and celebs can sometimes feel far away. I always like some insight into them. Congrats on 32 years Duff!

so this is about slashes snakepit, one of my all time favorite bass solos is the solo in good to be alive. i cannot figure out how to play it on my bass for the life of me, does anyone here have a bass tab or a idea for how to play good to be alive on bass? What more do I say? I started listening to GnR in 2018, and fell in love. Seeing them live from 20-30 years ago on YouTube felt like such a loss because I'd never be able to go back and experience Axl in his PEAK. The Axl who was on top of his vocal game, so energetic, so insane, and just the overall energy of the whole band in their younger days. Sigh. Even if I ever get to see GnR live, it will never be the same for obvious reasons

My sister bought tickets for Aug 5 in Toronto to see guns n roses. She told me that she received an email saying the concert had moved venues, but ticket master still shows that’s it’s at the stadium. Anybody know where the concert is located??

I've seen a few shows recently, including AC/DC, where you could buy the tour merch online and it would become available the day of the show. I'm seeing the show tomorrow in NC (despite the near 100% chance of rain in the forecast) and is much rather buy the merch online then waste my time standing in line for a shirt.

I've seen GnR before, but many years ago. Does anyone who has seen one of the more recent tours know if they put their tour merch online?

Not sure what's wilder - that nearly 40 years ago today (39 years July 21 to be exact) Guns N' Roses released "Appetite for Destruction" or that 10 years ago this week I saw their "Not In This Lifetime" tour's stop at MetLife Stadium (July 23, exactly). I'll share more memories from that concert another time, but witnessing Axl Rose and Slash on the same stage while playing "Sweet Child O' Mine" proved to be an especially emotional moment (though even just seeing them walking by each other throughout the night got me teary eyed). It's one of those songs from my childhood I'll always have a personal connection to (hell, that was the song I dance to with my mom at my wedding), so hearing them play it live together (after spending most of my life accepting the fact I'd likely never see Axl and Slash in the same room together, let alone on stage) brought on more emotions than I had prepared for.

It has finally arrived after so many delays. As for signed bookplate, i dont know exactly what the purpose is. I read it's to put inside as claim it's your book. But it has no adhesive like a sticker, so im just going to frame and display with my GnR album funko instead

I read that it’s from the Velvet Revolver era, but I can’t find it anywhere. I’ve been looking for it for days. I found similar pictures on pinterest, but none of them says where it’s from. I saw edits made of this video on tiktok, but they’re old and the comments won’t load anymore, even though others had already asked about it. (I can’t link the edits here since others made them and I don’t want to take credit for their work.) So, based on this picture, does anyone know where it might be from?

So i heard couple versions of rocket queen and we al know that somwhere in 1986 they musically changed the outro of the song to less melodic [as it was in live versions like whisky a go go but the best quality is from official sound city demos] i think thats how i would call it.. overall no fancy cool melodies on guitars (more hard rocky and has better dynamics all give it to them) BUT as ive heard couple versions of these old takes/ live versions i found out that the very ending ("all i ever wanted was for you to know that i careeeee" as we know it today) has "changed"?

Thinking of creating a flag for an upcoming show. I’ll have pit tickets in Tinley Park (Chicago). Thinking of painting a flag to hopefully get a chuckle out of the band/maybe even get Axl to hold it up as I’ve seen him do previously. Not looking for anything political. Was thinking of a Cubs/White Sox house divided flag with “I don’t need your Civil War” on it. But if anyone has any ideas I’m all ears….I mean eyes.

Do you guys think they'll come back to tour in philippines or southeast asia in the future?? not sure about flying to sg or indo because its too expensive. would definitely watch though if they perform here. Any information or insights on this would be appreciated. Thanks.
