Also set a pr on dyno today.
First time was able to close the 3.5. Not sure if the excat rgc but I've been able to close my 162 standard cobalt for awhile with multiple reps finally hit the 3.5 I assume it's atleast a standard 175 or so always felt way harder then the cobalt.
My long term goal is certify on the 3.5
Making relatively good progress last few weeks as before I handy been training grippers really for last year in a half as I've been focusing on making going to the gym a habit.

Hello everyone!
I just wanted to let you all know I've been making some meaningful updates to TheGripMap.com
Please take a moment and check it out, it's a great site for finding upcoming grip competitions nearest to you.
If you are a promoter and are going to be hosting your own grip competition, I suggest registering and adding your comp to the site!
In addition to the web changes I am also working on an android app, but getting it published on the play store is a PITA so that's still to come...

Hopefully ok to post this, pretty sure I've been dealing with undiagnosed gout for years....seems to start with my training, sometimes lower body training triggers knees/feet, and of course my heavy wrist and grip work can trigger hands/wrist...just curious if anyone else deals with it? Thanks

Hi there, I practice OCR (Obstacle Course Race) and I’m having a hard time trying to hang on one hand on irregular shaped grips, I can hang on bars or ring during more than 30 seconds. Any advice on what exercises could I do to improve my strength for this particular case?

Hey guys,
Lately I been trying to build up my open hand and thumb friction grip strength mostly for better endurance on odd-object holds and calisthenics.
Usually I just do standard bar dead hangs but recently started trying out thick rope variations instead. I picked up a 1.5 inch rope attachment that loops over my bar and man it is a total beast compared to a rigid steel bar. Because you have to constantly squeeze to create friction so you don't slide down my forearms are completely on fire after only a couple sets.
Here is what I'm currently throwing into my routine:
Warm up: basic mobility and high rep light grippers to get the blood flowing.
Rope Static Hangs: 3 sets for like 15-20 seconds (focusing on strict open hand clamping).
Rope Pull ups / Rows: 3 sets x 6-8 slow reps.
Finisher: plate pinches to keep everything balanced.
For anyone else who use towels or ropes for grip training do you find it better to progress by adding weight (like a weighted vest) or is it better to move up to a thicker 2 inch diameter rope to force the hand into an even more open position?
Also any tips on how to balance this with regular gripper work without killing my recovery would be great. Thanks!

Nikita has loads of short videos of him doing ridiculous numbers on dynamometers, grippers etc but I’ve never really seen him discuss his training
Does anyone know what he does to have built up the crushing grip he has? Any videos of him talking about it would be great
