So what it costs to run matters more to me than what it costs to buy. I assume everyone is going to say Brother and I'm fine with that, but the model numbers are a maze and I keep seeing mixed reports about third party toner.

If yours was under $200, what does a toner cartridge cost you? Curious how many pages people get out of one.

My Soundcore Life P2 pair died last week after two years, and there seem to be a lot more options now. So many pairs under $80 claim noise cancelling and 40-hour battery life, and half the reviews read like ads.

If you had up to $80 today, what would you buy again, and what would you avoid? I mostly use mine for commuting and calls.

So I made my own. I always thought cat furniture was ugly and bulky, and it never really fit my niche. I like games, collectibles, comics, and all that kind of stuff. The design always felt like a compromise—and an expensive one, too.

I went through several iterations, experimenting with different sizes, before landing on this one.

Once I started working on the final version, I got help from a friend who's a furniture maker specializing in custom furniture. He helped refine the design so it could be CNC-machined. That way, all the assembly holes are hidden beneath the sisal.

The joystick (not shown in this picture) is actually a spring wrapped in sisal, so it can survive being battered by our mildly aggressive cat.

Need about 250GB for a game, nothing else, therefore SSD seems to be best choice.

Know about as much about storage/pc's as I know how to open one up. TLDR: Nothing. After a handful of hours and my trusty slave AI, I found a few options.

EDIT #1: After taking a bunch of helpful advice, I increased my budget and turned away from less reputable companies. Obviously still a bit tempted(e.g. fenxiang selling 256GB for around 60 bucks…) but in the end decided to go for the Strat of building your own external. After lots of browsing, went for the TeamGroup T-Force Vulcan Z, 512GB, TLC, 120TBW, at around $115. Also have 256GB for 60$, but upped the amount since recommended. Got a cheap enclosure, and plan to setup soon. I’ll give another update to let know if everything works. (Not the most reputable or high-quality product, but price, reputation, and the fact that 3-yr warranty exists, make it ideal for the current disgusting market😒). thx for yall help.

I'm lost. Recently I bought a Sony WF 1000xm5 for my birthday and was completely disappointed. The sound quality is awesome but that's it... They disconnect randomly from either my PC or phone, I hear an annoying humming noise in the left bud, controls are awful and I hate the fact that they don't connect when you open the lid.

No the humming isn't a result of an ANC, it's there all the time.

Connection, it's trash. I use multi connect, it's quite important for me since I don't have speakers on my PC and it's simply easier for me to use earbuds for both my phone and PC. It happened the next day after a purchase, while playing Minecraft, the earbuds suddenly disconnected and any attempts to connect them back resulted in losing connection 10 seconds later.

Controls. They are just... Bad. They give you 3 preset options to choose from and that's it. They don't allow you to customize a specific tap even if it does nothing.

I finally replaced my old TV during Prime Day and ended up with the 65" U6 Pro. I've only had it for a few days, but I already know I should've upgraded sooner.

The first thing I noticed was during the afternoon. My living room gets a lot of sun, and with my old TV I used to close the blinds whenever I wanted to watch a movie. This weekend I realized I never bothered doing that. The screen still looked clear, and reflections weren't nearly as distracting as I expected.

I also rewatched a couple of scenes from Dune just because I wanted to compare them with my old TV. The colors looked richer, but what stood out more was that everything just looked cleaner. Desert scenes, skies, and skin tones all looked more natural instead of looking overly processed.

Another thing I didn't expect was how little time I spent adjusting settings. Usually I end up watching YouTube calibration videos for an hour after buying a TV. This time I picked Cinema mode, made one or two small changes, and then just started watching.

Still way too early for a full review, but after 3 days I'm pretty happy with it. Curious what everyone else picked up during Prime Day.

I found a 50" Hisense E7 on sale for $400 and it feels almost too good to pass up. I mainly want it for gaming, movies, and general streaming, but I’d like to hear from anyone who has actually used it before the sale ends.
