HI all, i was wondering what the current world record is for FACILITY on AGENT 00 difficulty? played on a xbox 360, im able to reach 1:10 seconds i saw somewhere online that the world record is 49 seconds is this accurate?

If so, on what level?

As it's an older game I understand that it's more difficult to understand the objectives. However on the second one, i breeze through until I get to the tank room. I meet with the agent then a swarm of soldiers come with a general. Even if I blow up the boilers nothing seems to happen. What do i do?

I’m losing my mind.

We busted out the N64 to play Golden Eye on multiplayer and I eventually chose Oddjob so I could use the hat throw as a weapon.

The 3 of us have it burned in our brain that it was possible on multiplayer to throw Oddjob’s hat, but we can’t figure it out / can’t confirm that this is possible.

Is this a “Mandela Effect” or something where it is possible in other 007 games, just not Golden Eye?

Hi all - I appreciate all of the engagement and feedback on my original post - since then, I changed the graphics backend over to WebGPU in order to try and make sure that cross platform gameplay is more robust. This opened up a new possibility, which is making the entire native port play in browser, without having to install. A demo of the in browser game is here: https://akratch.github.io/mgb64/

All you need to do is link your own ROM file, which stays completely internal to your browser, unpacks the assets, and loads them up into the native port + rendering engine to play in browser with keyboard and mouse.

I've also been working on the pre-built versions of the game as well, but I haven't released the cut-over to WebGPU backend on those yet. The repo is still here: https://github.com/akratch/mgb64

I'm just having fun with this project, so there are definitely still bugs to work out, please feel free to open github issues or check out the code directly as well.

I don't know if this is valid for this sub reddit but I want it to be visit-able (in case I lose all of my accounts for any reason) in the name of John Wiggler.

I put halflife and roblox sfx over the original battle and I quite like how it turned out. I hadn't put music over most of it, for a few sfx are drowned out.

What is the easiest/ best way to play the original?

I pretty illiterate when it comes to gaming systems so any advice would be appreciated.

I’m using the recomp, extracted it using 7zip and put all of the assets extracted using Velocity from the long game file. Launched it on the steam deck after transferring it from my burner pc and it just goes to black screen. Please can someone help me..?

Apologies if this has been asked before but I'm trying to unlock a variety of cheat options I used to be able to unlock as a kid. Anyone had video footage of someone unlocking these cheats on switch? Feels impossible!

One thing I always liked about the game was the areas which a lot of effort was put into for the game but are barely used, such as the Surface observatory, the Dam dockside, the Depot warehouses etc. They made the world feel more interesting and lived in. Despite playing the game on and off casually since the 90’s, I recently came across two areas which I had never seen before, one being the outdoor courtyard in the Archives level and the other being the two extra rooms above the Facility bottling room. There’s nothing in those areas but it was a bit surreal suddenly finding a new area in a game I’ve been playing for nearly 30 years. I’m interested if any other players have had this experience?

Playing train level at the moment. Get to the end when Natalya has to enter the code. I get the "he's in Cuba!", but she never progresses to actually cracking the code. The timer runs out and the train blows up. I've killed Ourumov AND Onatopp and still nothing. Is there some dialogue I am supposed to trigger that I'm not doing?

I was playing Facility with the Golden PP7 cheat enabled. I shot Ourumov and the rest of the guards. I turn round and there's Alec crouched down ready to be shot. He tells me, "Finish the job". Was I meant to shoot him myself?
