I've been having constant issues with my Pokémon GO Plus+ and I'm completely out of ideas.
Most of the time it won't pair at all. It'll either say "Device not found", refuse to connect, or just won't pair even after removing it from Pokémon GO and Bluetooth ("No longer configured", etc.).
Even when it's completely unpaired from my phone, getting it to show up again can take hours. I end up repeatedly pressing the button over and over, hoping it eventually appears in Bluetooth or Pokémon GO.
Some other weird behaviour:
When it's unplugged, the LEDs usually don't light up at all. The only time they seem to work is during the rare occasions I actually get it connected.
If I do a hard reset, the lights and vibration work normally, so they clearly aren't completely dead.
When it's plugged in, the main light stays solid blue constantly. If I hold the main button, the blue light turns off, then comes back as soon as I release it.
I've already tried pretty much everything I can think of:
Removing it from Pokémon GO.
Forgetting it in Bluetooth.
Re-pairing it.
Deleting and reinstalling Pokémon GO.
Restarting my phone.
Closing and reopening the game.
Factory/hard resetting the Plus+ multiple times.
Even replacing the battery.
The only partial workaround I've found is to spam hard reset until I somehow get it paired again. Then I repeatedly close Pokémon GO while mashing all three buttons on the Plus+ until it eventually connects and works normally.
The problem is that as soon as I close the game, it breaks again, and I have to repeat the whole process from scratch.
Has anyone experienced anything like this? Is this likely a hardware fault, firmware issue, or is there something else I haven't tried?
Update: For some reason opening the go plus plus and pressing the buttons whilst it’s opened makes it connect???? This makes zero sense wtf
