This post is kind of long bc I want my audition to be the best it can possibly be, and I don’t want to make multiple posts on one main topic.

Hi! I’m looking to audition to girls planet two bc being an idol has ALWAYS been my dream, and because global auditions/groups are a thing now, I may have a chance. My only problem is that it’s hard making big decisions about my audition, if that makes sense.

I was born 2012 (Nov 15), I was born in America, and I’m a female, and I have no restrictions on overseas travel, so I meet all technical requirements. But I need help with:

1. I don’t know what song to dance with. I’ve been a self taught dancer for about 2 years now.. ever since Katseye debut. I’ve learned so many dances from various groups, but I don’t know which ones will show off my potential as a future idol. I was at first thinking Touch by Katseye, but felt that was too simple. Then Antifragile by Le Sserafim, but I also thought that that was too simple. I am just rehearsing random dances and trying to figure out which ones are the best to do. If someone could give me good dances that aren’t simple and can show off my potential, PLEASE lmk.

2. I don’t know what song to sing with (yes I suck at making decisions 😭). I’ve been in choir for so many years, and I’m in an advanced choir, so I KNOW I have potential in this category. I also have a very wide vocal range (F#3-G#6, G3-D5 belting range), but I can’t find a song that fits that. I also feel like I have a weird vocal tone, because when I’m singing certain songs I sound really weird, and I don’t have the light voice most female singers do. (No, I don’t mean I have a deep voice, it js sounds different). I want to do a good vocal song, but I’m scared I will sound like butt compared to the original artist bc of my tone. If someone could give me a good vocal song (in my range!) it would be VERY appreciated.

3. I don’t know what to wear for my audition. I see lots of posts like “wear tight clothing” “no baggy stuff” but I don’t know exactly what to wear. Should I wear leggings and a t-shirt? A compression shirt and leggings? Someone please help me out here 🙏

4. If I do a 4th (optional) video to show off extra talents, what talents should I do?

5. I don’t really have a spacious, modern room like most dance studios. I only have my bedroom (literally the 3rd biggest room in the house) but I’m scared I don’t have enough room in there. I made sure that I had enough room next to arms and above head for dance audition (as many videos told me I needed) I’m just scared the it isn’t enough, or that my background is too dirty, even tho I cleaned that entire area of my room.

6. How do I record my dance audition, horizontal or vertical?

I’m so sorry for the long post, but I want my chances to get in be as high as possible, bc as stated before, this has been my dream since I was like 6. Anyone that helps me, you will forever be appreciated 🙏

honestly, i'm not too worried about getting in. i sent my audition super early and still haven't heard back. i'm wondering if any of you who followed gp999 more closely know more or less when the contestant leaks started to come out. best of luck to everyone!

I want to send a video of me playing the guitar while I sing but I'm not sure, maybe since I already showcase my singing in the other video(the one where you can choose between singing or rapping) I should just stick to playing the guitar without singing?

Does anybody know if we need some sort of ticket or fill out something to audition in person at kcon? and can I submit online AND audition in person?

I want to try auditioning for girls planet 2 ( even if I'm european and we don't really know if it'll be a real global girl group like katseye or not) but I'm stuck because Idk what song to choose especially for dance. The problem with dance is that I'm an absolute begginner and I was thinking of doing pop by nayeon (hoping that I can learn it well enough) do you think is a good choice?

For vocal I have less problems becuase I sing since I was more or less four and I was thinking of doing a second gen song maybe or maybe and nmixx one but Idk if I should avoid singing in korean since I don't know it, should I choose a song that is in english?

My predictions are the following:

1.One of the contestants would be in an controversy because of their digital footprint

1. They would definitely be a lot of drama a lot of bad editing and a lot of "villains"

2. The show who get controversy for having favorite

3. Umg and m-net would have an internal issues regarding the final line up because one doesn't agree with the other the other doesn't agree with the other

4. It would be intense very intense cuz the competition will be high

6.the final lineup ages would be 15-23

1. We would get trainees who are from countries never heard (or most people don't know em) or Africa

2. The final lineup with have 5-7 members nothing more or less

3. Even though this is weird and is something m-net would never do or isn't common in mnet survival shows but they would be more foreigners then Asian contestants

4. There would be bullying controversy racism, and xenophobia happening

5. It will be the most talked about show compared to the last shows

6. They will be a pretty privilege controversy

Last one: it's either the group that comes out of this show wull be one of the best, groundbreaking girl group of the modern era or the biggest failure

I’ve seen people say it’ll just be another kpop group but then why would mnet also translate it in Spanish, and they stated they wanted to market towards the Latin/west market, also partnering with an American label. So is it going to be like katseye or a kpop group?

Do I send a video audition or anything else? Or do I just fill out the form and wait for them to get back (if they do) Sorry if this is a stupid question! I'm about to send in my audition ~

After watching Boys Planet 2, I would like that if GP2 also has 8 members, at least half of them are unknown, bc ALD1 members 6 out of 8 were already known.

BUT, out of the rumored contestants for this new season, which would you like the most to appear on the show? For me are the Ablume members for sure.

And, which contestant would you also like to join the show that hasn’t been rumored to appear but you would LOVE to? Personally I would love to see Ayana from GP999 and World Scout: The Final Piece.
