Tire shine: $20

Light scratch/swirl/water spot removal (entire vehicle): $100

Wax: $100 for Carnauba, $80 for Ceramic. Ceramic wax will make water bead up and roll right off your car, protecting your paint. It will protect it for up to a year. It is an easier application than carnauba wax so I don't charge as much for it. More protection for less money!

Interior: $100 (we can negotiate this based on the cleanliness of the interior and what parts of it you want done). I can fix scratched-up gauge clusters and other scratched interior plastic as well!

Permanent Black Trim Restoration (highly recommended): $20. Makes your faded black trim look like it just rolled off the factory! Won't dry out—lasts for up to two years!

Glass Sealant: Improves visibility by making water bead up and roll right off! $20

I’ve been seeing more talk about Tedd Wetherbee, the owner of The Gallery cannabis retail stores, making a run for the Washington State House. While he’s been a fixture in the industry for a while—previously serving on the board of the Washington CannaBusiness Association —I think it’s time we have a serious conversation about his business ethics and the culture he oversees before he starts asking for our votes.

If you’ve ever walked into a Gallery location, you might have noticed a "pattern" in their staffing. There’s a persistent reputation that their hiring practices are less about cannabis knowledge and more about hiring women who fit a very specific, curated "look." This kind of exclusionary hiring is a massive red flag for someone who wants to represent a diverse district in Olympia.

Beyond the front-of-house, the internal management culture is reportedly even worse. I’ve heard numerous accounts of male management being openly misogynistic toward staff. This isn't just hearsay; if you look at Google reviews across their various locations, a clear and disturbing pattern emerges:

• Hostile Environment: Frequent mentions of staff and management being rude or condescending to customers who don't fit their "vibe."
• Serious Allegations: Multiple reviews have pointed toward instances of racism and discriminatory behavior by management.
• Gatekeeping: Wetherbee himself has been vocal in opposing legislation like HB 1932 (consumption lounges), claiming it would harm communities, yet his own business practices seem to actively alienate the very communities he claims to protect.

Is this the kind of "leadership" we want in the State House? Someone who oversees a business culture that allegedly prioritizes aesthetics over equity and allows a toxic management style to flourish? The bro who manages his shops thinks it’s appropriate to refer to his team as “his girls” and has no problem throwing around the word bitch when met with anything other than the response he is looking for.  

If he’s going to run, he needs to answer for the reputation The Gallery has built.

What have your experiences been? Have you worked there or visited a location and felt this "culture" firsthand? It’s important to get this on the record before campaign season really kicks off.

I know Washington Water changed the chemical makeup of their water treatment in early June. This included the addition of chlorine.

I've been on chlorinated water systems plenty of times and they've always been fine. But after this change, our tap water has become kind of nasty, sometimes totally undrinkable. We have to let it run for minutes at a time now to get the funk out. We are using a pretty heavy duty inline water filter as well. (CuZn)

I've read that when changing the water chemistry that a side effect can be the dissolution of existing biofilms or mineral films in the pipes. Maybe that's what's happening, I'm not sure.

Just curious if anyone else in the area is experiencing this.

Have any of you done the escape room “Escape Hour”? Wondering what you thought or heard from others. I have a 13 & 12 year old that really want to do it and was wondering about first hand experiences.

We are expecting baby #2 in early February, and will have a 27 month old when they arrive.

My husband took all of his paternity leave for our first, and we survived newborn nights with a terrible independent sleeper by taking shifts.

He is now self employed and won’t be able to take leave the second time around, so we are looking for recommendations for a good night nurse (or company) to hire for the first few weeks or months. Considering a nanny or mother’s helper for some daytime hours as well!

Brush fire burning and stone drive is down to 1 lane

I posted three hours ago about the fire near Stone Drive and 23rd Avenue. Here is the video from the incident. I am a journalism student at WWU but I am home for the summer. I hope I was able to help some people out today.

... and you bought them an eBike? Well, at about 4:30pm, they were on their eMotocross bike, all kitted up in black gear, sitting at the Old Salt Loop entrance on Skansie Ave (46th Ave). I was traveling south bound towards Hunt and spied them sitting there and thought to myself, "please don't". Well, they gunned it into the road. I laid on my horn and swerved, they made an uncontrolled u-turn and barely stopped, then gunned it back into the neighborhood.

I'm all for kids having fun, what concerned me is, they gunned it into the road without looking and lucky for them there wasn't a car going northbound away front Hunt. Spread the word over there to your neighbors, and the kids, someone almost died today. That would have ruined my day.

Does anyone know of a vet or vet tech that comes to your house to do labs? I have a senior kitty who needs bloodwork, but has diarrhea from anxiety when he has to be transported places—even with anxiety meds. Appreciate any recs

I am hoping someone can point me in the right direction...my 60-year-old husband is overweight, out of shape, and has awful balance (he fell twice yesterday on uneven ground). Hi, We have a tree that isn't doing so well. It would be amazing to try to diagnose what's going on with it and save it, but if that's not possible it needs to be removed before the winter storms start. Any recommendations for an arborist who puts effort into trying to save the tree instead of just removing it?

I’m considering a job in Tacoma and would love some honest input from people who know the area.
One thing I’ve heard repeatedly from friends who transplanted to Seattle is that people can be pretty reserved—rarely saying hi to strangers, keeping to themselves, and generally being difficult to get to know. I’m curious whether Tacoma has a different feel or if it’s pretty similar.

For context, I’ve lived all over the U.S. (San Diego, Phoenix, New Jersey, and Houston), so I’ve experienced a wide range of regional personalities and community cultures. How would you compare the people and overall sense of community in Tacoma versus Seattle? Especially interested in hearing from people who’ve lived in both. Hoping for somewhere (likely Gig Harbor) I can raise my family with two young children and ensure we will be welcomed and meet friends.

Has anyone had their child attend this preschool? I'm trying to get an idea of the typical schedule, number of hours per day, etc. I'd just call them to find out but the admin staff is all gone for the Summer season.

Did anyone else hear the loud boom near Skansie Pointe? Loud flash and huge boom. Nothing else after.

For context, I'm going to be receiving some medical treatment in Gig Harbor that will require me to come in for 4-5 days a week. I figured it would be better to just find a place to stay instead of dealing with long stretches of travel time back and forth each day.

So far I've tried looking on Airbnb and Furnished Finder without much luck. Everything that's listed is either wildly expensive or the owner isn't willing to do a single month (even though the listing page says otherwise).

I know it's probably a shot in the dark, but are there any other places you'd recommend I look? Or is there any sort of local group I could join where people may be offering rooms for rent on short term basis?

I’ve got an indoor flagstone floor that needs cleaning. At some point in its life, I think it was a carport or patio and got closed in.
