Hey everyone! I'm [u/stevesvoice](u/stevesvoice), a collector with over Fifty Years experience collecting everything that’s German Coin issues from 1875 till The reunification of East and West Germany. I have also been collecting and studying the Emergency issues of World War One, often called NOTGELD MÜNZEN. With my experience as founding moderator of [r/germannotgeldcoins](r/germannotgeldcoins).
This is our new home for all things related to the sharing & studying the emergency coinage issued during, and after World War One. The primary purpose of this page is the Promotion of CORRECT Notgeld information. We're excited to have you join us!

German translations of terms found on coins, as well as terms, and descriptions necessary for verification of different types of the same issue, or subtypes.
Learning how to determine the condition, and grades of Notgeld Coins. Something that’s currently missing with only the two grades of Very Fine & Extra Fine provided in Standard Catalogs.
The eventual listing of all my over 2,500 different Notgeld listings of W.FUNCK in as high grade as possible. For aiding all collectors in the identification of German Notgeld Coins, and eventually establishing estimated values by grade.

a) Obv. Words are on inner ring of pearls, inside 0 is 1.6 mm wide, coin is 0.9 mm thick.
b) Obv. Words are strong and clear of inner ring of pearls, inside of 0 is 2.1 mm wide, coin is 2.1 mm thick.
* 2 coins struck in Gold, 10 coins struck in Silver.

No varieties, mintage: 21,105 coins produced by L. Chr. Lauer, Nürnberg.
In 1917 a total of 10,825 coins were placed into circulation, with another 10,280 entering circulation in 1919.
* attention should be noted, there are two similar coins that are easy to distinguish, and it’s all in the DASH between KLEINGELD - ERSATZ. Coins lacking the dash are F-235.4 with a mintage of: 175,000.
**There were unauthorized copies of these coins produced and illegally sold to collectors during the 1920s. These coins are smaller then the genuine coins, and know as— Röttinger-Nachprägungen
Genuine coins are: 20.1 mm round
Röttinger coins are: 19.0 mm round
Oh, and Röttinger was arrested and prosecuted for his crimes.
