NOTE: Updated for the 2025/26 season
Here you will find all the information to buy tickets for Genoa matches as a tourist or guest.
First of all, if you want to sit amidst Genoa fans, you don't need the fidelity card except for high-risk matches. You can buy up to 4 tickets if you buy them online.
Where to buy tickets
you will probably need a valid ID (passport, national ID, maybe driving license) to access the stadium. They don't always ask for them but since the tickets are nominative, they may ask to see some IDs.
Note: if you are going to support another team than Genoa, I strongly suggest that you pick a ticket for Tribuna or eventually distinti. Don't go to gradinata (Zena or worse Nord) wearing Juventus colors, for instance...
High risk matches:
Every match in Serie A is subject to scrutiny by the "Osservatorio Nazionale sulle Manifestazioni Sportive". The purpose of this scrutiny is to regulate influx of supporters for matches that are considered high risk (because of rivalry between the supporters or other external factors).
Usually, any match with one of the "big" teams (Juventus, Milan, Inter, Roma and Lazio) is expected to be high-risk. But also derby and in general every match that expects many visitors. This is not a rule and for instance this year Genoa-Napoli has been deemed high risk for he first time even if the atmosphere for such match is usually good.
So, what happens if the match is labeled as high-risk? Well, there are restrictions to the sales of tickets: first of all, visitors can only be sold tickets in the visitor section ("la gabbia" or "the cage") and you need to have the "tessera del tifoso" from the visiting team. For the other sectors, you have to be in possession of the Genoa fidelity card aka the DNA Genoa card. The procedure to obtain it is explained on this page. It costs 12€ and lasts 5 years. There could be also limitations to buy the tickets online.
If the match is not high-risk, then sales are free: see above for the procedure, and no fidelity card is required.
When do tickets sales begin?
Usually you may find the tickets on line some days (usually 3) before the match. Unfortunately, as Serie A matches are subject to variations in time and day, it's practically impossible to buy them months before. With a bit of luck, you can get the tickets one week in advance. Otherwise, in general, if the match is on Sunday, expect sales to start on Thursday.
Hospitality and Experience
Hospitality is a service where you get a Tribuna ticket and you can have a meal in two rounds: before the match, you will have antipasti and primi; during the break you will have a dessert.
Experience gold includes hospitality but you can also see the players and take a tour of the stadium. See information on the Biglietteria page. The silver Experience only allows you to see the players and you have a Distinti seat.
I recommend people who want to buy these special tickets to speak and understand a bit of Italian, I tried it last year and it was a bit chaotic also for me who is 100% from Genova....
Enjoy and Forza Genoa

In the city over the weekend & would love to check out the game, would it be advised to get a fidelity card or do games go to general sale?

Hey Everyone - just like to introduce myself as a new fan from US. My father was a fan since he attended University of Genoa in 1972. Years later he moved to America and to this day still watched almost every game.
Sadly he passed away last month and I have decided to continue his fandom. Looking forward to watching every game and joining in discussion on this Reddit page!

It's always a pity to see young talents leave us. But I understand that we need the money.

What are your favorites?
Difficult to say, so many bangers by Malinovskyi, but I'd pick Ekhator's vs. Napoli

Does Lecce paint their field green in spots? Looking at the light green color of “stains” on their jerseys.
