Does anybody else find the incessant use of acronyms infuriating? Just type it out and stop having people to guess, add to a ridiculous vernacular or having to look it up lol 😆 Grrrrrr

For guys who have had colonoscopies, Was it fairly fast and easy? I have my yearly exam tomorrow and I am sure that the subject will be brought up again. Was it a day or 2 before everything back to normal? Any complications? TIA!

What are some of the channels you watch and love? Could be anything: latest news, cooking, gardening, travel, music, crafts, comedy, history, or just learning something new. I really just want to get a sense of what women over 60 on this subreddit are enjoying so I can give her a good starting point.

I can still remember like it was yesterday. I had made a new friend and went over to his house. Black Sabbath - Black Sabbath was blasting from his older brothers room. I asked if he would start the song over. Listened to the whole album 2x. Got the album for myself a couple weeks later. Ozzie was pure gold.

My family was able to watch when they took off. My kid brother and I were super excited.

Marilyn Munster sculpts a bust of her uncle Herman for art class. Her professor takes one look at the photo and loses his mind — he’s convinced he’s staring at the missing link. Actual prehistoric man. So he drags Herman in for a full campus exam.

Herman, meanwhile, has zero clue what’s going on. He thinks he won a modeling contest.

So you’ve got Korman in full stuffy-academic mode, measuring skulls and declaring Herman’s got “enough brains to fill a lard bucket” — and Gwynne just standing there soaking it up like it’s the nicest thing anyone’s ever said to him.

The first time I saw this episode in the early 1970s, it totally freaked me out, along with my babysitter. She was really upset. She suffered from entomophobia, which is the fear of insects, and this episode really sent her over the edge.

I just made myself a pop tart in the toaster and the smell brought me back to summers as a kid. No school, no rush, living the good life.

In the summertime, the melodious sound of the ice cream truck coming down the street where you lived, was part of a daily ritual in many parts of Canada and the USA. It was a part of growing up that I really miss today.

Maybe this was just a Bay Area thing but does anyone remember this spot with Charley and Humphrey about borrowing without asking?
