G7 Pro (Discussion)‎‎ ‎ Got It

Post image
19 Upvotes

Recently purchased the G7 Pro but hated how it was wired. So I upgraded to this. I loved the regular G7 so I’m excited to play this.

Can anyone recommend settings for FPS? Warzone to be exact 😬

Man, it might seem weird, but I prefer using my Cyclone 2 on the PS5 over the DualSense. With Remote Play (wired) has no perceptible lag and I prefer the Cyclone 2's build materials, then i usually use it when playing on my brother's PS5. The only real downside is the lack of vibration in games, but I like the Cyclone 2's mechanical clicks and the smoothness of its triggers and analog sticks so much that, for me, it's worth it.

I’ve always preferred the PlayStation lay out with the joysticks. It is lighter and I don’t like the rubber free backing on the tarantula. I only play apex. Now just adjusting back to the PlayStation joysticks.

I think the d pad is better. And I play custom curve adjustment on g7 pro 8. I haven’t changed anything yet on this controller.

I do really like it so far.

Nova 2 Lite‎ (Discussion) ‎ Nova 2 Lite Battery Indicator Issue 🪫

Upvotes

I'm having a problem with my GameSir Nova 2 Lite controller.

While I'm playing, the controller occasionally starts flashing a red light. According to the manual, this indicates that the battery is running low.

However, when I connect the controller to the charger, the LED shows a breathing green light, which I understand means the battery is already almost full. After about 20 minutes, the charging light turns off completely, indicating that charging is finished.

Is this behavior normal? Why does the controller warn me that the battery is low if it only needs about 20 minutes to finish charging? Could the battery indicator or firmware be inaccurate?

Need Help‎ (Support) ‎ Nova lite only recognized in steam

Upvotes

What the title says. I can use the controller normally in steam big picture mode, but not in any other games. If I press the home button i can temporarily use the controller outside steam but that also turns it off.

How do I use the controller for other games?

❔Discussion Appreciation post to Gamesir Support on Discord

Hey everyone, I just wanted to take a moment to thank the support team over at the Gamesir Discord, specially to Gamesir-Robin who took my case.

I had bought a G7Pro Plum Purple since I liked the color, and I felt like it was time to finally get a Pro controller, coming all the way from the G7 SE, but after two weeks of use the grip rumble motor stopped working, fortunately it was still under warranty, it took just one quick conversation and explaining to Gamesir-Robin to solve the case and send a brand new unit which I've just received today, they didn't complicated the issue, they were very helpful and kind throughout and, in my opinion, that deserves a compliment.

Thanks to all the team at Gamesir, highly recommended, I look forward to keep gaming with whatever devices they come up with next! Cheers!

Which controller is right for me?

I have a G7 SE wired, I really enjoy it. I play platform fighters with it and feel like the joystick has lots of play. Kinda wanting another Gamesir controller dedicated for single player games. I love the retro green T7 pro, but curious if I should get a G7 pro instead? I would like wireless even though it’s not a dealbreaker.

Need Help‎ (Support) ‎ Aimlabs 8k/PC G7 Pro - D-Pad Quality?

So, I’ve had my GameSir Aimlabs (8K/PC Edition) G7 Pro controller for a few weeks now and I do absolutely love it! I know the D-Pad on this one was supposedly improved from prior G7 Pro models.

I also know there’s a ton of posts here about this same thing, but I wanted to get some current input from other owners of this same model.

With that being said: I’ve noticed, regardless of the D-Pad plate being used, the down and right feels a bit wobbly/floaty. The up and left has no pre-travel before the click. But the down and right directions do have a very small bit.

Granted - it doesn’t seem to affect anything and my regular Shadow Ember G7 Pro seems the same. So, just wanted to poke around here to see if possibly exchanging for another could result in a better one? Or is this pretty par for the course?

I got it off Amazon, so it’s not as simple as just running it to the store. There’s no “exchange” option. So I’d have to order a new one, then send this one back as a return. 🫤

What are your current binds on your controller?

Mine is pretty generic except I have the paddles on opposite unlike popular paddle setups on pro-play like warzone where they have the jump on the left and crouch on the right.

Then I use the L5 and R5 for y and x, the X is the most important one as it saves a lot on time with looter shooters like stalker where you have to aim at the item and press X, this saves me time from moving my finger from the joystick to the X button for pickup.

With $140 budget, I am torn between getting the Wuchang G7 pro (w/ 2 year warranty) or the ZZZ G7 pro (No warranty)

Please help me decide which decision to make. I have just enough funds to get either the Wuchang w/ 2 year warranty, or the ZZZ with no added warranty. I like the ZZZ more in almost every fashion, but not being able to snag the 2 year warranty for an added $60 cost, is kind of pushing me towards just getting the Wuchang.

What do I do?

GameSir, Please Make This: A Black PS3/PS4 Hybrid T3 Controller with TMR Sticks

Post image
26 Upvotes

GameSir, hear us out: We need a black PS3/PS4-inspired version of the Tenegaria Lite/T3

I recently started thinking about what the perfect PC controller would look like (at least for me personally), and honestly, I think GameSir is already extremely close.

The GameSir Tenegaria Lite (T3) is one of the best controllers you can buy right now for PC gaming at its price point, especially for players who prefer the symmetrical PlayStation layout.

What makes the T3 so impressive is that it isn't just another "budget controller." It competes with much more expensive options thanks to features like:

  • 1000Hz polling rate
  • Hall Effect sticks
  • Mappable back buttons
  • Excellent PC compatibility
  • An affordable price point

For PC gamers who grew up using PlayStation controllers, the symmetrical layout just feels natural. Having both thumbs positioned evenly can make certain games feel better, especially for players who use claw grip or rely heavily on precise movement and quick button access.

The biggest problem is that PC gaming has historically favored Xbox controllers because of native Windows support. If you use a DualShock 4 or DualSense controller, many games either don't properly recognize it or require Steam Input, DS4Windows, or other workarounds. On top of that, the PlayStation button prompts often don't match what you're physically holding, which can become frustrating when navigating menus or learning a new game.

That's where the GameSir T3 stands out.

It gives PlayStation players the comfort of the symmetrical layout while still being recognized as an Xbox controller on PC. It delivers the best of both worlds: the controller shape you love with the compatibility PC gamers need.

But imagine taking that idea even further...

A black GameSir T3/Tenegaria Lite inspired by the PS3 and PS4 controllers would be incredible.

A hybrid design featuring:

  • The classic PS3-style dome thumbsticks
  • The comfortable ergonomics of the PS4 DualShock design
  • The T3's excellent internals
  • Modern TMR stick technology
  • A premium black finish
  • The same 1000Hz polling rate and PC compatibility

This would genuinely be one of the most unique controllers on the market.

A lot of gamers still praise the PS3 controller to this day, and many players still prefer the PS4 controller layout over newer designs because of its balance, comfort, and familiarity.

GameSir has already proven that they can create affordable controllers that punch far above their price range. Now imagine giving PlayStation fans the design they've wanted for years while keeping the technology that makes GameSir controllers great.

I understand a controller like this would probably cost more than the current T3 Lite, but honestly, for a design like this, I would happily pay a premium. Even around $40-$50 would still make it an incredible value compared to many higher-end controllers on the market.

GameSir, please consider making a black PS3/PS4 hybrid version of the T3.

Who else would buy this? :)

I really loved my G8 Galileo and thought it was great - it turns out it's just garbage-quality stuff and so is GameSir support

I purchased a G8 Galileo on a local store a little bit over a year ago. I did my due diligence at the time and researched it a lot - it was supposed to be an awesome telescopic controller and by far the best one in its price range.

I'll give merit where it's due - the buttons, joysticks and overall manufacturing felt pretty premium. I used it with no issues whatsoever during an entire year.

Then, literally just a few days after said year passed, the controller went dead and turned into a 100-dollar paperweight all of the sudden. It got permanently stuck on what I call the "white-light mode" (which I think it's called PS mode or something). This means that as soon as you connect it to a phone or even a charging cable, the controller freezes up in said mode and won't react at all. And I mean at all, so it won't change mode by keeping the two upper buttons pressed (I think they are called Menu and Display? Idk but the ones that emulate "Start" and "Select") nor it won't turn off by keeping the GameSir button pressed.

Consumer-protection laws in my country cover only a 6-month period so that was a dead end. Then I found on the GameSir website that they offer a 1-year warranty to replace faulty devices. Since I did absolutely nothing wrong and this thing went dead over the night, I thought my case would clearly qualify.

I contacted GameSir support. The period of time between the date when I got my controller and my first contact by email was, I kid you not, something like 1 year and 5 days. I thought that the idea of leaving my device out of warranty just for that insignificant difference would be nuts, so I was pretty straightforward about the date of reception of my purchased device.

Also important to notice, I saw - on a relatively recent AMA from GameSir support - this guy mentioning how he was just a few days past the 1-year period. As logic would dictate, the GameSir support official account answered back saying that they would still validate the warranty.

In the end, the response I got from GameSir was less than ideal. First, they claimed that since my purchase was beyond the 1 year period it was not eligible for a replacement. Second, they referred to the fact that I didn't purchase it through the GameSir website! (I have to say that this is the first time I read that you are supposed to purchase a device in the official store of some brand in order to have it covered by the manufacturer warranty when it's clearly due to a manufacturing/factory defect.)

Long story short, they left my out of luck with no intention of sending me a new device so now, as I mentioned, I have a 100-dollar paperweight that does absolutely nothing.

Btw I even asked them, since they were being a dick about the 1-year counting, if they could provide me some help to try to fix the thing. After all, it was the GameSir SUPPORT email address that I was writing to. But what do you know, they just said good luck with that and sent me away to a Discord channel where I was supposed to get help from the "community", lol (needless to say I don't have a Discord account and have zero intentions of going down into that hole).

Really, having to go through a Discord channel in order to have your faulty purchase fixed? What's next? Forcing you to create an X or Facebook account? Contacting them by fax?

You can take this a cautionary tale: don't trust the marketing and assume GameSir stuff just stops working all of the sudden. It's garbage and so is their customer support.

X5 Lite‎ (Discussion) ‎ Fx5 lite cooler review+cooling issue

Post image
9 Upvotes

I just got the fx5 lite cooler to use with my x5 lite controller. Not many people review it so I'll do it for anyone who wants to buy it.

Pros

  • Lightweight, decent build quality
  • Has 3 modes: low, med, high. Low takes around 8w while med & high takes 12-13w.
  • Cools my phone pretty well on med and high while emulating pc, albeit with graphene sheets applied. Temps around 36c in gamehub without ac/

Cons

  • When I insert it to my x5 lite, the bottom plastic part curves up a bit, which results in poor contact with my phone (notice the creases on the graphene sheet). After using the cooler without the sheets, I noticed only the upper half of the cooling area touched the phone and the lower half didn't. I applied one sheet for the entire area and another on the lower half to fill the gap. Now it runs much more effective.
  • Cooling area is pretty small, a 3cm square.

Overall it's pretty good, performance is great. Just keep the bad contact issue in mind
