It's relevant because he should have never been permitted to stay in the country the second it was determined he was illegal.

We will probably not agree on this since you appear to be a libertarian style open-borders advocate. So best of luck!

Unless the murder weapon was an expired work visa him being undocumented is not relevant.

The county was a sanctuary county until this case. After it, illegals are sent to ICE.

This particular person had a small rap sheet prior to becoming a murderer....any of those could have triggered deportation and saved a woman's life.

What does him being undocumented have to do with it? He's a killer. That's the point. Him having the wrong paperwork is irrelevant.

That's your lived experience. Some people have different lived experiences than you.

This is what happened to my sister's neighbor a while back.

More like

Republicans: "We stand for freedom from gubmint tyranny!"

Also Republicans: "Comply or die!"

Negativity? Hostility? Idk I'm not like a big fan of the term "safe space" but it's a pretty innocuous phrase.

Who fucking cares? I don't care if my neighbor has the right paperwork.

I didn’t mean me

Of course not. it would have been very silly if you referred to yourself wouldnt it?

But it’s possible if you actually made an argument and didn’t just insult people like you did in this very post.

I will happily have discussion where it's warranted and possible. But this is such a silly thing to say since I'm just poking fun that you would call yourself reasonable, since you lack the necessary facilities for self awareness.

> Sure it’s possible those constituents benefitting from extra representation from their slave labor illegal migrant population could vote Republican, but the political scientists who study this have concluded that Democrats have 2-13 more seats than Republicans from this effect.

No one wants them to be treated like slave labor. I’d like them either to be made citizens outright, or treated like the Dreamers.

What political scientists are you referring to? All the data I’ve seen says otherwise.

That’s what I was thinking.

That bank sells the info to a hundred different end buyers and logs it with dozens of government agencies.

What kind of financially ignorant moron wrote this?

I don’t have to worry about those people who are in fear of a global illness putting people in concentration camps denying medical attention and raping the female prisoners.

> No, I don’t think it is. Most rational, reasonable people have zero expectations to encounter ICE during their day.

ICE has shot 11 people, and another 50 have died in ICE custody in the last year.

When ICE operates in your area, they operate without identification, and they operate under an entirely separate judicial system which magically allows them to go door to door without violating the 4th Amendment. ICE has detained a number of US citizens. ICE’s training is also so incredibly incompetent it caused one international scandal and nearly a second one. ICE will occasionally reject the documents you provide as proof of citizenship, and are inconsistent in their application.

Perhaps average people won’t interact with ICE in their day to day life. But if/when ICE is in your community, it is bad juju. ICE has proven repeatedly it is unreliable at best. So yes, you should fear ICE.

Always “they should” or “someone should” but I never see anyone actually volunteer themselves, you guys just want someone else’s son or daughter to make the incredibly stupid choices.

Next you're going to tell me that "all is welcome" is secret leftist code. Come on. You have to have the mentality of a stubborn toddler to feel that it's exclusionary to put "safe space" in a school room.

Well now I agree with you. Videos anywhere can be manipulated especially now with the advent of AI, for the purpose of wide sharing across social media. Which means videos on college campuses can be manipulated but so can videos of events taking place worldwide....

For what it's worth, CNN has what I would imagine is authentic video of a Columbia lecture being disrupted (last year).

As for students being blocked from campus, Forbes has video from 2024 at UCLA. I would also imagine this video is legitimate.
