Well this is unfortunate.

Words for this context: "Batch"="Box of 20 packets", "Bag"="Packet", "Normal"="Flavor-ingredients-less".

About three-to-four weeks ago my family bought another batch of Quaker Oats oatmeal. Specifically Brown Sugar and Apple Cinnamon. I heated up some water and put just one bag of brown sugar and one bag of apple cinnamon in separate bowls (also had multiple sessions of eating oatmeal generally), tasted them, and realized that the amount of flavor that I'd received in these packets compared to all of the previous batches of this product that I've had before, had gone down significantly. The aftertaste of eating it was of normal oatmeal and not the flavor that was mixed in it. I tried doing multiple bags at once, and that increased the amount of taste of normal oatmeal that I was receiving. The taste of normal oatmeal isnt bad. We haven't bought another package, but this has never happened before, which means that either these two entire packages (20 packets per box) of oatmeal packets is a 1-in-a-million fluke or the producers of Quaker Oats oatmeal sent the store we bought from their product with a new recipe, which the only thing that I can tell that has actually changed is that they've chosen to decrease the proportion of their flavor ingredients in every packet.
