Hey so my fj seat are broken, like a big hole and missing a lot of the seat it's really uncomfortable. And fj cruiser seat are super rare, none for sale around me.
I'm looking to find a replacement idea that won't required redrilling or too much work. I know someone here made 4runner 5th gen fit , but since they are that reliable, they are also in almost no junkyard.
Same with the Lexus one.
I wa thinking maybe the tacoma seat fit ? But I'm not sure

Hello all! Possibly gonna be a new member! I need some advice!
A Toyota dealer near me in Southern California is selling a
2007 Fj with 150k miles
Its a 4x4 with rear locker and a trac.
Bone stock.
I already went to check it out, carfax says minor damage, its just cosmetic.
Theyre offering me 18k otd, 450 for 48. Total end price would be about 21k
I have no one to talk to about things like this, am I getting a good deal? Would it be crazy of me to get it?? Please advise 🙏
Thank you in advance!!

I changed my cabin air filter and engine filter myself today and now when turning on my AC getting some weird noises. Anyone have an idea what is causing it and how to fix it?

I hear the people. The people say 5000 is outrageous. I’m aware lol.
The people say part it out. How much could we get for the parts? Tires are good, has a screen and everything else on the outside is fine

So months long research on this trip. The only thing I need now is the car. Man I’ve looked at 4Runners and Land cruisers, but the FJ is screaming my style. Love the interior and the tanky, exploration look. There’s a 2014 selling I’ve been looking at. So I’m here wondering, in the community of FJ drivers. How’s it holding up in the land of traveling? Yall liking them? What’s it like to be an FJ owner? You know how jeeps got there thing? Do FJs have theirs? What’s the travel like in your FJ? Has your FJ failed you before? I guess things like that is what I’m curious about.

I have a 2008 FJ with 267,500 km’s. I seriously injured myself in 2018 and have hardly drove or maintained her since then. I feel at this point, my only option is to let it go, as I don’t have the ability to fix her up. A friend helped jack it up in March so I could take some pictures. Then in late May, I tested as much as I could and here’s what I found.
Issues:
Working:
I’m the 2nd owner of this FJ and driven her about 200,000 km’s. I really love this truck, but the reality is, I can’t do what’s needed to get it back to a good state. I was thinking of asking $4K to $5K CAD for it. I’m looking for advice from the community if this is a reasonable price, or should I just be calling a junk yard to pick it up?

Heyy everyone, I want every penny I can get for her. I need help finding a person that will buy her for a good price, enough to get me back on my feet.
I posted in here about fixing it a while ago but we’ve decided to just try to sell it as is if we can. We’re in New Orleans if anybody wants a project car. We’re looking for at least $5000 but open to discuss

Looking to replace the back original shocks. The FJ is 4x4 but my wife and I do not go off roading. What are the best shocks to use. Thanks

Hi All, been lurking around this community and have been inspired by the passion and love for this car. I live in Manhattan with a garage in my building, and looking for a car that can get me about 1.5 / 3 hours to family on Long Island, and the occasional 6-8 hour romp out of New York a few times a year.
First and main question: For anyone living in a major city, how do you feel with your machine in it?
Second question: I'm leaning towards manual because modern automatics feel more like boring go carts these days. I like a manual option to keep my focus on the road and enjoying the feel of the drive, but is it practical for what I'm looking for?
Really appreciate any insight and support any of you can offer. Hoping to join your ranks soon.

hello all, my front axels have started to click and leak grease, seems it's time for replacement. I've looked at the stock axels on the online parts portal from Toyota, but I have approximately 2 inch lift and I'm not sure it's a good idea to keep riding on the stocks. I've heard about the RCV performance axels and they look good if a little pricy, but they have 4 options for the FJ, does anyone know what option would be best from them? I plan on either rebuilding myself or having my old one rebuilt to have spares.

I’m not the type to farkle out my vehicles with personality crap, but c’mon, it’s “voodoo blue” ..?! Still in the honeymoon phase with the 2007, so, permitting a minimum of silliness. A lovely beast.

I absolutely love my Fj and have no complaints except for some very minor things I can fix myself. I live in the PNW and my girlfriend and I go to Canada a few times a year and always bring my car. I never really thought about a dash replacement for my speedometer until recently when we traveled through Canada. I really struggled with knowing what my actual speed was because I could barely read my speedometer in the bright sun. I am colorblind and just assumed it was that until my girlfriend drove and was like “wtf I can’t read your speedometer.” It’s a weird shade of blue that’s like impossible to read unless you look super close. When I image searched others, the markings appear white and makes me wonder if this is aftermarket or maybe something else? I was curious if anyone else has blue hash’s for their km/h?

Over the last year my coolant level is below min when the engine is cold. I put dye and did not find any leaks, I replaced the radiator cap, and then took it to a shop - they blamed thermostat housing so I got them to replace it. I am thinking of putting in a new coolant reservoir, thought or suggestions?
