Question Moving after getting into the FBI
Hi!! I’m wondering how many people had to move or move states after getting into the FBI? Any feedback would be super helpful!!

I received the phone call from HR that my background check was complete, that I was found suitable for employment about a month ago for the Intelligence Analyst position. I haven’t heard anything since and my portal still says I’m still in the security investigation portion, basically no change. So my question is what is the time frame for receiving a final offer letter after getting the “phone call”? Just want a general idea or how long it took for others to receive their letters for the IA position!

During my time as a DOD CTR I did an inadvertent query that was too broad and resulted in my termination. It’s been over a year since then and I have moved on and had a spotless record with my new job.
Can I still become a special agent?

Hello! Do any of you know if I am allowed to study abroad (fall 2026) while going through a background check for the 2027 internship? Thanks!

Hello all! I applied for the Honors Internship Program last year, and just got a call about my interview which is scheduled for this Wednesday. I mostly am just looking for some insight into what the interview will consist of? I typically get pretty nervous interviewing for anything and since this is a pretty big deal for me, I am a little more nervous than usual haha. Any tips or pointers would be greatly appreciated to help me prep!
Edit to add: This opportunity was given through my university. I am a college student.

Found a 1958 FBI National Academy Training Manual — J. Edgar Hoover Era — looking for collector insight
I recently came across this piece of FBI history and thought people here might appreciate it.
It’s a complete 1958 FBI National Academy 61st Session training manual with around 145 pages of material, including FBI Laboratory information, scientific aids, police administration, supervision, patrol methods, communications, and other law enforcement training content.
It includes original pamphlets, including “The Police Library” by J. Edgar Hoover, plus FBI Laboratory materials.
The coolest part is the provenance: there is a handwritten signature from Arthur Klundt, Chief Criminal Deputy of the Walla Walla County Sheriff’s Department, on the FBI Pledge for Law Enforcement Officers.
I’m curious what collectors think about the rarity/value of something like this. I’ve seen general FBI ephemera, but not many complete National Academy session manuals from the 1950s.
Photos attached — especially of the cover, Hoover pamphlet, and signed page.

Morning all…. Has all headquarters switched to 10 hours shifts?
How long was your training for each shift?
Have you trained on all shifts? If so, How was the transition?
After training, what shift were you on? Were you able to pick?

wanted to come on here to ask if anyone has received any conditional job offers for the 2027 cohort of the fbi honors internship for any Virginia Field Offices yet? i applied for Washington DC, Arlington & Quantico but i’ve heard nothing. my panel said results would come out sometime in june or july. any advice or feedback would help. i know some people have come to ask about nyc but i don’t think people have asked about specifically Virginia yet. thanks!

Saw listing for Special Agent: Psychology/Counseling Expertise. Bachelors only.
Wondering if anyone could tell me anything about what this might entail.
