After over 200 hours of riding the wave V2, here’s an in depth detailed review of my experience with it so far. This is also my first ever electric skateboard so take that for what it’s worth.
I’m 6’3” (190 cm) and 155lb (70kg)
Shipping was relatively quick, especially for the board specifically since they actually had it stocked in their US warehouse. My cloudwheels and spare battery took about an extra week and a half to come in, which is expected.
Range with the stock wheels and pulleys was around the 7 mile mark comfortably. The stock wheels are decent, but in my opinion on the small side considering that this is a short board. Basically, they’re fine. BUT, one of the wheels cores delaminated and separated in the first 100 miles.
Around the 2nd week of owning it, the cloudwheels came in. They have been exceptionally good, actually much better than I would have ever expected them to be. Mileage decreased to around 5-6 miles per charge with the stock 36T pulleys they provide. These instantly made the ride 100 times more comfortable, and I live in NYC, which has some really rough roads, pebbles, dirt and leaves basically everywhere. They are closer to 101-102mm though, after referencing my Apple Watch Ultra for speed while riding.
I also ordered the eboardstuff aluminum billet 44T pulleys, which can take any abec or kegel wheels, along with some madwheelz 105s. The 44T ratio definitely brought back the acceleration and braking, which was rather sluggish with large wheels and the 36T pulleys. It did not bring back any mileage loss though. Both the cloudwheels and madwheelz get around 5-6 miles only. The madwheelz are actually 105mm as well, after testing with the Apple Watch. The belt covers work with both wheels and actually have some clearance left for larger wheels, possibly up to 110mm rovers, but I’m 99% sure that you’ll get serious wheelbite.
Now, I was expecting to love the madwheelz as they’re praised even more than the cloudwheels for urban riding, but to be quite honest, at least in NYC, I find the cloudwheels to be much more “comfortable”. I guess the lack of a wide contact patch just helps shield you from feeling EVERY SINGLE thing on the road. They’re still very comfortable wheels, maybe it’s just a preference thing? Also, I had to tighten the trucks a bit for the madwheelz as you actually can possibly get wheelbite, as I have a wheelbite mark on one side after catching a speed wobble. This was only an issue with the madwheelz not the cloudwheels.
Overall, the board has been a lot of fun and I love to take it pretty much everywhere.

Hey guys, i was looking at getting a new remote for my Exway flex, and Rexus seems overkill personally, will R3 connect to my board?
Edit: I have E1 or whatever the included one is

Hi everyone,
Yesterday, while I was riding my Exway Flex 2 Pro, it suddenly disconnected from the remote. It started slowing down, came to a stop, and shut off completely. Now, it won't turn back on via the remote or the power button.
It only lights up when plugged into the charger, but as soon as I disconnect it, it shuts off and stops working.
The board only has about 1100 km on it. I’ve already tried disconnecting and reconnecting the battery a few times, but with no success. Has anyone experienced this or know what might be wrong? Any advice would be appreciated.

So I picked up an Exway Flex second hand on the marketplace but it's obnoxiously flexible, a slight bounce and i'm tapping the ground i'm around 200lbs. I would like to do a deck swap but I was told there's wiring down the center of the deck that I wont be able to remove, whats the alternative here I'm kind of at a loss, I'm restoring the board for my wife as I ride a different one myself. it's belt driven

The axle on my board is uneven. The board struggles when someone rides it but it cruises without weight. How can I fix this and where can I order parts?

I've got an Exway Atlas 4wd and for what seems like forever, I've had problems with the inner tubes - after almost every ride, I come back with a flat and it's driving me crazy - does anyone have any recommendations on alternatives (or inner tubes which are reliable) - I'd love to use my board for more than a week or two without having to replace the tubes!
BTW - I'm in the UK.

Hello, I have an Exway atlas pro 4wd with the gear drive system
My life got super busy for the last year or so and I was not about to ride
I just went to plug my board in and my 3000w charger will power on for about 15 seconds and then power down and stop charging
The board will not turn on or take a charge
I have a feeling the battery sat to long but I just figured I’d ask
The board is no longer listed on the website so am I completely out of luck and have a $2500 brick on wheels?

Are the wave V1 and V2 batteries interchangeable between wave V1 and V2 boards? Can I purchase a wave V1 board and use a V2 battery? What are the differences between the batteries. Based on what I could find the new battery has a USB C port instead of an A port and can charge external devices faster. Are there any other significant differences I should be aware of?

Hello, my board recently started making a strange sound while riding, I have 300km on the board never ridden it in the wet, just because of the danger, today while I was cleaning it i spun the wheel and found out the sound is from the right wheel. Is this a serious problem and how do I fix it?

Road my wave v1 to work today and all was fine. When I went to leave, I turned it on and the motor jerks forward a few times with the remote saying Motor Short.
How is it even possible that it just breaks like that?
I've tried plugging a spare motor in and same thing.
Reckon this is a broken ESC? Again how can it be fine one minute then busted the next.

I strongly advise people to avoid renting from Flexways in Romania.
My experience was extremely misleading and financially abusive.
During the rental process, I was told there would be a “deposit” of around $3000. A deposit normally means money temporarily held and later returned if there is no damage or violation.
However, after signing the contract, I discovered the document described this amount differently. It was written in a way that made the charge effectively non-refundable, not a normal security deposit as I had been led to believe.
This distinction is critical. Calling something a “deposit” while the contract treats it as a non-returnable fee is deeply misleading to customers, especially foreign travelers who may not fully understand the legal wording under pressure at the rental desk.
I felt trapped into accepting terms that were not clearly explained beforehand.
The communication was unclear, the practices felt deceptive, and the financial risk was enormous.
Before renting from Flexways, read every line carefully and ask them in writing:
Is the amount refundable?
Under exactly what conditions?
Is it legally classified as a deposit or a fee?
What are the cancellation and refund rules?
I would never rent from this company again, and I recommend others use extreme strongly advise people to avoid renting from Flexways in Romania.

Selling a second-hand electric skateboard | Fully functional | Being transferred due to upgrading to a new one
Due to getting a new one, I'm reluctantly selling the old electric skateboard that accompanied me all this time!
Fully functional with stable performance: acceleration, braking, lights, and APP connection all work perfectly
Good condition, no accidents, no water damage, regularly cleaned and maintained
Warranty period has expired (according to official policy), but the machine is still in reliable condition
Perfect for friends with limited budgets who want to experience high-quality skateboarding!
The price is $800 (not including free shipping) . I'm very flexible, feel free to contact me to negotiate the price.😄

I bought a used Atlas pro earlier this week but because it hadn't be used in a while the rexus controller that came with it wouldn't hold charge. It would connect to the board and spin up the wheels while connected to a power source but would die as soon as unplugged and also the screen was always blank.
I couldn't find what battery was needed for a replacement anywhere online so thought I'd share this here as it might save someone a bit of money. As shown in the second picture its a 3.7v 1000mwh 102050 battery with a JST connector. (I think its a 1.5 size connector but it may be 1.25. I accidentally got 2.0 and just cut the connector off and crimped the wires together) I paid £13 for 4 battery's and it took 5 mins to swap
Hope this helps someone

So the inner tubes on my Exway Atlas 4WD keep needing changing daily because the tubing is either clamping when I change them or just burning up on the inside and melting. Are there airless tires inserts I can make/buy? Or even thicker inner tubing to prevent this? I’ve changed and patched up the inner tubing to these wheels almost 60x now and I just wanna ride the board with no complications every day. It’s the 160x50 tires for the Exway Atlas.

Just as stage title goes. My exway v1 battery died after serving me well for a long time. I went on the exway website and saw that the battery is sold out. I also sent an email asking for future availability and was told they don't make those batteries anymore. Now I'm stuck. I can't buy any of the V2 batteries because they don't have the power button on them like the v1 has and there would be no way to turn the board on or pair the remote.I don't want to have to buy a whole new board when my current one only needs a battery replacement. I thought id post this and hopefully someone on this sub wants to sell theirs or knows where I can get a used battery. I'm in the UK btw. Thanks in advance.

I've recently started having this problem where I connect my board to the charger and I just get flashes of a very dull red light mixed with the green. I got it to actually indicate that it was charging once but it stopped some time in the night and I got maybe 10 percent charge the next morning I did have it in the rain for a second the day before but I wasn't riding it, just getting into a car with it. Has anyone else seen this issue?
