Firstly, Hello! Welcome to the community! I'm glad you found us!
We knew exactly what we were doing when we launched this place. It is working just as indented and growing just as expected.
The goal is very simple. The Experiencer Phenomenon is real but most of society has not caught up to this fact yet. It is a heavy burden to carry for anyone to go through such events in their life while being actively discouraged from speaking about them due to the social stigma and shame that comes with that. A lot of trauma and stress can come with having to bury these experiences and having no one to talk to.
We are a social species. Sharing and talking is how we process and deal with things. Thankfully there are many private Experiencer support groups popping up all over the net more and more.
But there also needs to be online spaces where someone can still be anonymous. Not have to join a private group or pay money for 1 to 1 sessions. But instead just be able to share that life changing experience they had. Get it off their chest after decades or burying it. There are also those who are fresh from having an ontologically shocking experience that could do with somewhere to go, discuss it with others and so forth. This can do a world of good for people suffering in silence with regards to their experiences. Someone could have the most beautiful and profoundly transformative life changing experience and still suffer due to not being able to discuss it with anyone without ridicule or social consequences.
We already achieved this in private communities and saw the benefit. But with r/Experiencers I strongly felt it was time to try this in a public setting. People can share and others can also read these encounters people are having. Many lurking and reading are experiencers too. One day while lurking...BOOM they're reading how someone else has had an encounter just like theirs that they had years ago and buried. Suddenly they're validated by something they read on here. Next thing they know they are commenting and sharing themselves in that thread. Something they never thought they could do. Now the ex lurker and the OP are both getting validation. Both Experiencers lives have been changed for the better. And others who may read that same thread.
The is a major positive ripple effect of healing that is going on here constantly by allowing these discussions to happen in a public setting. There is a LOT going on behind the scenes as a result of this space too.
Experiencers know how out there their encounters sound on paper. Before they post, they've already got a million voices in their head simulating the toxic comments people might leave for sharing what happened to them. They also are wary of being anywhere near any of these dark conspiratorial corners of the internet and don't want to be associated with that stuff. People deserve a space to share without being called names and without someone trying to indoctrinate them into XYZ dark conspiracy that is currently trendy on 4chan, or get swamped by debunkers or people with fundamentalist religious views. There are plenty of other communities out there that are like that.
There needs to be a public space that is neutral and middle path and primarily all about experience sharing and that's it. No other baggage attached.
This is the goal. It is a very very specific goal. But very challenging in a public setting. We knew from day 1 that to pull this off it would require heavy heavy moderation. And we knew that some people won't understand or like that at all.
Basically, we are providing a public space to share experiences where those sharing won't be subjected to the usual crappy comments that flood social media. There are plenty of other subreddits that run very strict rules on how the comment section works. Its not unheard of to have a heavily moderated comment section on reddit. The goal we have in place is important and helps people. We're not going to soften on how we manage the comment section for others who cannot see the bigger picture here.
We've stuck to our guns and won't give an inch. And this community is a major success as a result. It is working as intended.
Respect this space and what we are doing. Now that we're getting bigger - more and more random people are stopping by, who are used to leaving drive by insulting or dismissive comments on reddit and then move on to next sub to try and be witty or do the same. Rinse repeat.
Experiencers don't need to be reading this stuff. This type of low quality content will be removed on the spot. The redditor in question may even be banned instantly. We are going to be very very strict on things like this. Experiencers already know what random redditors think of this phenomenon. If they wanted to read low quality remarks they could go to the many of the other subs out there.
It is cool to ask questions and be curious but do not put an experiencer in a position where they have to justify themselves or defend their encounters to people. It's a big deal for people to finally type up an encounter and I don't want to see them then having to defend themselves in the comments.
Obviously if someone calls the OP names or make derogatory comments on experiencers in general its an instant ban. This is the basics.
When it comes to random drive by redditors who leave crappy remarks we'll hand out bans like speeding tickets at the Indy 500.
Sometimes we get someone who after a ban takes a moment to learn what the sub is about. What we're doing here. And the importance of it. They reach out to the team with deep apologies and we discuss removing the ban. But seriously. We shoot first ask questions later here when it comes to comments like this. Don't test us.
For Experiencers :
We generally moderate by engagement in the comments. We don't like having to ban experiencers from the sub and its something we'll rarely do.
We get an outpouring of gratitude and encouragement with regards to what we do as mods for this community daily. So I want to make it very clear the huge huge majority of people in this community understand what we are doing here and the importance of why we run it as we do.
It's rare, but every now and then we get someone who loves this place, but complains that its not run the way "they" think it should be.
From someone complaining that by allowing discussion of Mantis beings or dream contact events or telepathic encounters. Or CE5. We do a disservice to "real" experiencers.
Some people are new to this phenomenon and don't understand the scope of what others can go through. As a result they can be judgmental to their fellow experiencers at first. These people learn in time.
We keep a balanced neutral and middle path approach here for good reason.
We moderate those trying to convert other experiencers to a specific dogmatic dark belief system. We have had the odd experiencer complain to us that we don't allow for this. And we do have to sometimes ban people who continue to keep trying to force their dark hopeless dogma on people in here.
Look - there are plenty of subs out there dedicated to those narratives. Experiencers deserve a neutral middle ground space where they can share an experience without having someone try to indoctrinate them into their dark world view.
Attempts to force extreme religious views onto experiencers is another thing we have to moderate. This is not the place for that. Do not come in here trying to convert people. This is not the place to be telling everyone they're evil and talking to "Demons" or "Djinn" either. I can't be any clearer.
Recently someone complained that we should allow a free for all on "ends times" discussion and that by moderating such discussions and others that some how that makes this place a cult with a toxic culture. I mean for feck sake...
Look experiencers are sometimes given communications about various future disasters. It is a part of the phenomenon. But when looking into this its clear its filled with false predictions and massive contradictions. I'm not denying the reality that these communications can happen. But Experiencers deserve a place to share without having people try to convert them into an end times movement in the comments section so I'm sorry but for this and all other major narratives we seek to provide a balanced non toxic space for people to share.
Another issue is the ALL non humans are evil crowd trying to convince any and everyone that all NHI's ET's etc are evil. These are folks that sometimes clash with mods as well.
The experiencer and the ET topic is incredibly nuanced - massive generalizations and authoritative opinions are heavily discouraged here. This also goes for people victim blaming those who have had negative encounters by implying all beings are positive and they just manifested the negative encounter. Or that all they have to do is think positive thoughts and ET abductions will end.
Authoritative generalized opinions from experiencers is something we have to moderate. Some people are too quick to spread narrow views or accidently spread propaganda or just random fear based things they've read online. And spew them out to someone who's just freshly had an experience of some kind and just needed to get it out of their system.
We don't deny the dark side of the experiencer phenomenon here. But we don't condone unnecessarily generating mindless fear regarding anything and everything going on with the phenomenon. Be it spirits - premonitions - NDE's - ET contact - astral projecting etc. Indeed fear weakens us and makes dealing with these unknowns harder and disempowering. We need to be vigilant and balanced with our approach to these things.
Lastly. We had an experiencer recently run into trouble by constantly asking community members for evidence of their encounters after they'd shared. Which goes against our rules. They strongly believed asking for evidence was not de-legitimizing the persons experience. The people felt different and so did the mods. However this person argued that there needs to be a space where Experiencers can question each others evidence in the comments. I suggested that while there may be, it is not here and would go against the mission we have for this place but.. he is welcome to create is own space - with his theme in mind.
Sure enough he did. And that's awesome.
My point is. Some experiencers may find us here and fall in love but feel disappointed they can't chat about a specific thing that goes against our rules. We encourage such folks to make their own community. We have a very specific goal with ours and that does mean heavy limitations in the comments. Complaints about how we do things won't work. We won't give an inch. But if what we've done here can inspire other Experiencer friendly communities to be formed that have different goals with regards to the discussions being had. That's brilliant. The more spaces for Experiencers the better. This is also part of the mission.
We do what we do here and do it very specifically because it is needed. There were no public spaces like this on reddit before. And just sharing does a world of difference for people. That is the mission. The fact that this place now exists it means now others can too that do things their own way. Since we have this side of it covered.
This community is here for people to be able to finally share an experience and read about other experiences and discuss them in the comments, without toxicity. And that's it. This is a huge amount of work in itself. And we're doing our job as planned. A space like this was very much needed and we've provided it and will continue to provide it. People message us all the time about how long they've searched for such a space. Where they can share and talk about the Experiencer phenomenon where its neutral and middle path and without all the other baggage. They share how finding this space has helped them deal with all they've gone through.
We know ourselves how much this is needed as all of us involved in running this space are Experiencers too and have benefited from having such middle path communities to discuss this phenomenon in.
We know what we are doing and won't be budging from our mission and goal here with this space.
Thank you to this wonderful community. It always touches my heart to read the supportive and helpful comments from Experiencers here in the comment section in reply to someone going through the shock of engaging with this phenomenon and having their world turned upside down.
More and more people are going to be waking up to this world and its Experiencers in the end whole be there for them. We're all playing a major part in what is to come for our species. The world won't be able to ignore this stuff forever.
We have a lot of threads going on the sub and I had already shared a little of what I thought in comments the other day as the movie was out in Ireland before the US. So I was not sure if this was needed.
But I keep getting comments and DM's asking me so I thought I'd make a proper post on my reflections and a full spoilers allowed mega thread.
Do not read this thread if you've not watched the movie yet and are planning to. This is your final warning. I won't be using spoiler-tags and I want the community in the comments to feel free to share in detail without worrying.
Do not read further if you've not watched the movie.
Now.
Perfectionist me wishes I was sitting here with a multi monitor set up with close encounters of the 3rd kind on one screen , Disclosure Day on another so I had access to all the lines and scenes and do a detailed technical analysis. And because I don't have all that I should not bother. But I'm fighting that off and I'm just going to flow state this.
I am also dealing with exhaustion. There has been a mass spike in contact over the week and I've been juggling a lot of support work along with juggling a visitation myself this week and many experiencers I know are feeling tired sleep deprived and exhausted this past week. So I'm also fighting against those thoughts of "Wait till you have full energy before you post and can think clearly".
Lastly, before I dive in. I want to give some background. I am one of those experiencers who had an array of childhood contact events that were buried. Yet was seeded with a burning emotional and intellectual fascination with this topic. I did not realize I was an experiencer until I was activated in 2021 and sent on a mission to support other experiencers, but this involved revelations about childhood experiences and communications about the time we are in now, shown to me in the 90's. But for most of my life I had a deep emotional connection to all this I did not understand. And I consumed everything. I mean everything to do with this topic in media and reports. I was having major emotional reactions to anything to do with ET and beings from a young age. I have cried through many many movies as a child related to this topic. And post 2021 I had even deeper emotional reactions and tears along with ontological shock.
I am 5 years into this now. And a lot of processing has happened. But Close Encounters of the 3rd Kind has been a deeply special movie to me and even more so as I got into this work as the movie itself is a love letter to experiencers and covers various aspects of being an experiencer and the emotions of being an experiencer in a deeply raw and relatable way. I am a big movie buff and Spielberg fan. So there is that context. The second context is as part of this major awakening going on in the 2020's of which my work is deeply connected to, I also knew this movie was going to be coming out and was going to be a part of this. I have a deep understanding that this movie would be part of the 2020's waves of intellectual permission and experiencer activations and would likely bring focus on to us. The experiencers.
As we all know here very deeply. The conversations around this topic always circle around us, or dismisses us entirely. But that will change in the future and people will start wondering about the people dealing with NHI contact and the people connected to these beings. Which is a deeply complex situation. Far more complex than any single movie can even begin to touch on.
With all that you'd think I'd be excited for the launch of this movie but due to the stress around my work, the lead up for me on this has been.. intense. Its not a movie for me. This is work.
There were folks on the field who were concerned that this movie would be another horror movie approach making all NHI out to be evil invaders and experiencers ignored or just seen as crazy victims or worse, monsters. I was not too worried about that given what I knew about Spielberg. Who actually 'listens to experiencers'. And has a history of caring about us and what we go though. His illustration of ontological shock exacerbated by not being understood, listened to or believed with regards to what Roy goes through post encounter combined with that burning and obsessive desire to understand and know more, is deeply on point with what so many I know have gone through including myself. Combined with that feeling of being led that there is a knowing locked away inside that this is important, this means something.
So I fully expected Disclosure Day to be pro experiencer and contain experiencer mechanics often not understood but now entering the collective consciousness in a way that will allow everyday people to understand experiencers a bit better. And I had been doing a lot of prep for this.
Sure enough this is exactly what we got.
This movie is not only about Disclosure , it is about experiencers and how we are the key to all this.
It is illustrated a number of times by both the shadow human power structure and the beings.
First things first - one of the primary reasons some folks got concerned was the guttural clicking noises made by Emily Blunts character which gave a horror movie aliens taking over humans bodies concern and further concerns related to dehumanization of experiencers.
People worried the movie would be about evil aliens taking over peoples bodies and turning them into clicking noise monsters. I was not too concerned with this and sure enough this is not the case in the movie at all. That only happens once in one scene and it is part of her awakening and activation process similar to how some experiencers can burst into speaking foreign language, Sumerian and or what is often called "light language" during heightened psi/trance.
There are some interesting lines in the movie which I cannot quote directly as I don't have the script but essentially shadowy government humans realize one of the movies characters might not be just an everyday person and they say "Are you telling me they are an Experiencer!??!"
In another scene where they try a forced remote consciousness projection into another person its noted something like "You know this won't work if they are an Experiencer".
These subtle lines are massive to me. We're seeing a mainstream movie finally catch up and use the term "Experiencer" as an identification and essentially use all the modern language we and 'they' all use. There will be major ramifications for this and for the normalization of the experiencer phenmomon. Myself and the team have some work cut out for us due to these lines on their own.
On that note they also say NHI or specifically, non human biologics which is 100% in there due to Grusch.
I think something I smiled a lot at all the way through was Emily Blunts portrayal of an experiencer.
I have worked with people like her. I have had moments in my journey where I was her. She is in utter ADHD neurodivergent chaos and shock while dealing with her psi experiences kicking off after a deeply spiritual moment happens for her with a bird. She is also a fun, good hearted decent and well meaning person. Brilliant in many ways along with all the ADD chaos and it just made me smile thinking of so many of the wonderful experiencers I've met over the years like this. Finally getting relief as a result of being around people like them who get it.
I don't get to be in this state much myself. I mostly leave it dormant because it can be very difficult depending on the environment you are in and I don't have the space and freedom to get into this state where I am currently. Not every experiencer has a choice. While having a conversation around a longing for home and a constant desire to move in order to find it, Emily Blunts character suddenly has a bird fly into her apartment, mid conversation with her boyfriend. She freezes and focuses on the bird as she starts having a psi activating experience. The bird hyper focuses on her and walks closer on the table. She freezes and deeply looks into the birds eyes and vice versa.
The boyfriend instead of looking at this and being sensitive and wondering what could be going on here, just behaves completely oblivious to the whole situation, interrupts the process and gets rid of the bird and ignores the clearly powerful experience his GF is having.
So many experiencers I know would recognize this moment on screen. And depending on where they are on their journey, find it triggering in terms of frustrating moments they have had in their own lives. These moments are hard. I've had them. When in them you feel 'everything' and you are at what feels like the cusp of completely profound spiritual experience and potential answers that have deep meaning with this strange feeling of finally connecting to some natural state, "home" but its all balanced on a knife edge where any shift in frequency will feel like someone scraping nails on a chalk board. If anyone around you is frustrated confused and getting angry because you are in this state having this experience - you feel it at an extreme level like 1000 cuts to your soul. And it can end up destroying the moment. I am speaking generally here but these moments can and do happen with animals. I have had incredible moments like this with horses and trees in my earlier days, others I know with deer and birds, mantis insects and so forth. I will be doing a thread on this. The animal connection in the phenomenon. Yes they use screen memories but it is not always the case. They can also project their consciousness into an animal or insect for an interaction with an experiencer. Obviously experiencers also have profound moments with animals outside of any NHI involvement.
But this scene is on point in the movie and something many who don't understand the experiencer phenmomon will have no clue about. The only thing off is Emily never gets upset or frustrated at her BF for not being sensitive in the moment that all this is happening. Or has the experience effected by other peoples insensitive reactions to it.
She continues to get activated in a whirlwind of events that she later explains is like something "working through her" and she decided to enter "the flow" state and go with it. Which allowed her to function with it and things just all fall together.
In 2021 I was activated and being pushed and guided onto a path of eventually running experiencer support communities and my god did I resist and fight and deal with all sorts of disbelief that this was happening, torn to shreds with self doubt and internal struggles. Causing major anxiety and internal conflict. Until one day I made a conscious choice to trust the flow state. Weeks into that flow state I had confirmation what was happening was real as triangle craft and orbs began flying over my house in response to me - months into it I was now running multiple experiencer communities and understood what I was supposed to do much better.
The flow state was something I had put a lot of thought into during my creative works before all this kicked in, and after all that saga was behind me I found it constantly came up a lot on my group calls with experiencers as many of them found themselves flying through their contact activations by letting go and trusting the flow. In a grounded manner now that they had community.
I found it very interesting to hear this come up in the movie.
Emily's performance was a highlight in general.
Big moments for experiencers will of course also be the various psi based recognition of other experiencers - understanding things that others cannot (in the movie its the alien language - for experiencers it can often be symbols, code or language, lettering or glyphs, crop circles and patterns others miss. Objects or information embedded or caught on camera and such that only they can see and others cannot..
Projecting consciousness and remote viewing via other peoples consciousness is a mechanic on the field though not something common or happening in an everyday experiencer sense. We this in the movie where the shadowy government baddies use alien tech to look through another persons eyes for recon. The reality of this does not involve alien tech from what I know or at least not like we see in the movie. This is a complex topic I'll dive into at a different time. In the movie this cannot be done if the target is an experiencer. From what I've seen these things tend to be the other way around. But I still have a lot to learn around these mechanics.
Before I move onto the big one I'll touch on some other dynamics that are lore related.
Footage of captured alien interrogations and potential abuse. The idea of footage like this has been in the lore for decades with even debatable footage out there claiming to be a real captured alien. I have always been suspect of that footage. But a couple of experiencers have directly told me that they have personally been face to face with a type of grey that looks exactly like the being in that footage. (Not all Greys are the same beings nor look the same) These people are the real deal and I take what they say seriously. Which put this footage back on the table for me. Where before it was cleanly off, entirely dismissed as a puppet/animatronic. It being on the table for me though does not mean I'm convinced. Yet.
Implants. I was disappointed in the MRI scene when they were scanning Emily's character that they did not reveal her body was laced with implants or even signs of a single one. That would have been on point but perhaps it was awkward for the plot.
The religious storyline was clearly inserted as a way to hopefully ease the negative and potentially violent reaction from extremists as a result of this topic going main stream. There are a lot of scary reactions happening out there but those people do not represent normal religious people or their religion. Many experiencers remain or even turn spiritual and religious post contact. Everyone, from experiencers to major world religions are concerned clearly about the reaction from an extreme minority.
Cloaking and invisibility. As we all should know. These beings can be in someone's house and standing right beside someone without them knowing. Experiencers can often pick up the beings to various degrees , but their ability to cloak is beyond that of what we see in the movie. Though the movie is interesting in that it is not your typical cloaking tech like the predator movie. By holding the device , it seems it boosts her psi in a way it interfaces with everyone else's consciousness and stops them from seeing her and a group of people and fire trucks. Beings can certainly do that and more. Some of them are not just cloaked but operate some what out of phase with our reality and realm. Allowing them to move through solid objects too.
And finally, the abduction scene.
The panicked breathing by the children stood out.
The major scene though of course is the recovering memory of childhood abduction triggering activation of further memories. Or even potentially DNA.
Look - the movie has its problems in terms of the art form of movie making. The whole bringing them back to a premade house to assist in this memory recall when they actually had a live alien all along that they randomly roll out later was honestly silly.
But for experiencers, the performance around this scene has been very powerful and triggering and many tears have been shed.
I've watched a lot of abduction scenes since I was a child. Some of it brutal and really disturbing and hard to watch. This scene on paper is very tame. Its the actors performance as they are in trauma as the memory comes up. A memory they have had nightmares of since they were young but did not understand what that was about due to screen memories.
So their panicked reaction as they live through it together is very powerful and relatable for many many abductees out there. We only see the animals lead the children to a screen memory of a house that is actually a ship and then them placed on a table and there is no procedures or other difficult imagery. But its children and the fear they have on the table sticks out.
Now another element to this is one not enough people on the field understand.
Children are taken and meet other children on these craft. In some cases those people meet as adults years down the line. People who meet on craft are not all from the same country or even from the same time. Children can even be the same age on craft and meet decades later and have years between them. I have met experiencers who've been through this. One made a post just today. Which I highly recommend reading.
Most don't remember.
Experiencer parents and their experiencer children can also be taken. Most don't remember or have flashes that feel like dreams. Memories returning or being unlocked in adulthood is a thing. And I don't mean regressions.
Abductions may even be more frequent in childhood than adulthood. But I don't know for sure. Many I work with have a sense they may have been visited or taken a few times as a child and it changed to the odd visitation and contact event then during adulthood. But we are dealing with a lot of unknowns still given how as experiencers, many of us have to deal with knowing there is a chunk of our lives hidden behind a memory partition we don't have access to.
Activations of memories of contact leading to activations of psi, as hinted in the movie, is also a thing. But I'll note that some people are taking away the message from this movie to be that "NHI" are responsible for psi in humans. Psi gifted humans are out there without NHI contact. Not all experiencers are NHI contact experiencers and one does not have to have NHI contact to end up psi gifted. I personally did not think the movie was trying to argue that. But it is the case of course in some NHI contact cases the beings boosted or enhanced latent psi in the experiencers they are working with in various ways, sometimes even with DNA alterations but that is not always needed.
Unlike my years of emotional reactions to contact NHI movies - due to the intensity of my work and what I'm involved in, it was an intense experience watching it knowing this is my work, I'm involved in this and knowing how real a lot of this is and the effects this is going to have on the population and the experiencer population at large and how I have a role to play in all this even if small, my head was spinning on all that for most of it. But my emotions were largely numb throughout most of this movie which was strange for me but its where I am now. I've been processing a long time. I may react differently at other times when I'm juggling my experiencer work less and personal contact revelations more. But the seal did finally break at the ending.
What did it for me in the end was watching the scene where everyday people FINALLY understood the significance of this. FINALLY getting it. Finally the penny dropping and having some form of reaction to what is actually happening here.
When I woke up to all this my brain was on FIRE with the sheer significance of this and yet day in and day out experiencers find themselves isolated from the world around them as they try to talk to people about what is going on. But instead of a jaw on the floor reaction from people, emotion, shock, or even basic curiosity. People react like robots. The "does not look like anything to me" reaction. Silence. A quick awkward change of subject. Nothing. Almost robotic.
That non reaction is painful and psychologically isolating. It is something so many experiencers know deeply and has made us feel so different from the rest of our species in many ways because it is completely impossible to relate to. How could you not be in wonder or have basic curiosity about the single most important topic in human history? This is why experiencer communities for people who 'know' this stuff is real is so important. There is a pain involved in knowing something so significant for our entire species and yet those around you can't even hold a basic conversation on it.
There is no bigger conversation than this, nothing is more important and yet most people shut off their brains when the topic comes up and its actually horrifically alarming to bare witness to this non reaction.
Finally seeing the everyday people in this movie 'react' to this information is what triggered major emotions for me. "This is disclosure day". Finally seeing it click with people , the sheer scale of importance of this , the news casters human reaction to this, how this is more important than any of the wars and dramas otherwise going on in the news so much so that the entire world stopped to look. All finally deeply aware that everything changes for humanity from this point on.
That had me fighting back tears. The moment this finally hits page 1 as I've spoken about over the years.
I look forward to getting access to the movie and hosting a watch party with my fellow experiencers when this comes out online. There was a few other lines in this movie that sounded like a monologue about experiencers rights but I did not fully catch it. Something about punishing these people for the crime of being astonished. I'm looking forward to getting that line when I see it again.
Not long after this movie - I started getting texts from my friends who don't talk to me about my work and get awkward when I bring it up. Now they finally have questions. After 5 years. Conversations are starting for other experiencers I know too.
Artistically it was a let down. But its done and will do the job it was meant to. This is one more step in the various stages building up to people finally listening to experiencers and taking us seriously.
Hey guys, been hanging out in the sub for a while, commenting on others' experiences, trying to connect dots for myself and others, and hopefully feel some closure.
Ill try to keep it as short as possible. (failed)
Some random morning of spring 2015, as I was waking up I could see the light coming in from the wooden shutters/panels as usual (real image of the room) but this time something was off. As I wanted to get up, paralysis hit my body and an overwhelming sensation of intense but not painful electricity/static filled my body and slowly the vision of these 3 characters appeared to be coming out behind these columns and through a potential portal,
\The "electrical" sensation was so severe, once the experience was over, I ran out of my room looking for my mother. She proceded to cover the socket near my bed, LOL!* -* check out the images I attached from podcasts. Im not the only one.
I cant remember anything else, aside from the emotional intensity, paralysis, vision and electric feeling. What I can say is that I was a long time sufferer of sleep paralysis for many years. I had them all, from your typical sleep paralysis to a full-blown single dark entity coming in slowly through the door, hearing it approaching and taking a good look at me from my periphery while I was in fear of my life. Literally I thought I was going to die in many occasions as some of you know.
Once this 3" dudes" appeared. I never had the paralysis ever again. Something that haunted me for decades now was in the clear and thats all I got out of the experience.
I try different types of meditations with the hope of finding answers and perhaps say hi or give thanks to these entities without any luck so far. This one time I did a "gateway" type meditation trying to remote view and this voice came raging down saying "GET OUT OF HERE, YOU CANNOT ENTER", something along those lines... there were no words, just the feeling of those words if that makes any sense (some of you know what I mean). Felt complete terror and snapped out of the meditation right away hyperventilating.
Im trying to reach out to this hypnotherapist in a near town, but she keeps avoiding me lol even though I didnt tell her yet in detail what I want a regression for.
Tried to keep it short but didnt go as planned.
PS: the beings depicted in the AI image were a bit less "grey alien" shaped than what is showing. Probably a tad taller and the heads not so proportionally large . All I remember from their appearance is their silhouettes. The picture of the room was taken today in the same setting as in 2015 (dark setting with light coming in from the shutters)
PS2: The screenshots are from podcasts from Jesse Michaels and Chris Ramsay (area52) where interviewees mention few details that are identical to my experience and others'. And one other post also very similar to mine. There are a bunch.
Edit: Would be cool to find people who want to sync meditations to try to find answers to this collective experience lots of us are having.
So, all my life there’s something that’s called me beyond, or so to speak. I firmly believe that there’s got to be so much more than just working, paying bills, and moments of happiness in the midst of all the suffering.
Anyway, all that to say it has opened my mind to several stuff: seen weirds / bizarre things, experienced odd stuff, synchronicities, etc. Once again, I do believe there’s so much more we just don’t know or understand, or is just blurred by our modern lifestyles.
Down to the story, I had a vivid dream a few weeks ago, a very vivid one, when I travelled to an alternate version of this world. It was the same world, earth, same nations, same people, but it was different, it was brighter, in every sense.
In this world I travelled, I was aware I was traveling there, and the people I met was also aware it was a different “me”, so to say. I met to my actual partner, who recognized me in that world. We met, we talked, we shared a lot of info, and she lovingly suggested me to leave, as that was not my home world. There was a “me” there, who I didn’t meet. Interestingly enough, they were not together in that world, although they did know each other and kept some sort of contact.
What was most interesting about this alternate version is that everything worked for good, always, and people were really happy for it. Not that they didn’t have issues as a society or individual level, but thinks always worked for good. Like, someone in your family got cancer, they cured. Some conflict erupted between nations, they reached an agreement in good terms for good. You wanted a promotion in your job, you had it.
For the reasons mentioned above, people were really happy to live, they were happy for the world they had, they were hopeful and grateful. And you could feel it in the air, like I said at the beginning, it was all so.. bright and yellow warming, I even remember feeling the light so toughing.
I know I spent some time there, with mentioned partner, and at some point I knew it was time to go back.
So I woke up, with a huge nostalgia of one of the most beautiful things I could have “lived”.
There you go folks, hope you enjoy reading. Anyone have any similar experience?
Apologies for any grammar or texting mistakes, English is not my natal language.
It’s important to keep in mind that we can’t process or understand what our bodies or minds are truly capable of handling. When you are in a situation where you’re in too much pain, don’t see a way out, or feelings that death is near, just remember that with extreme trauma our minds move faster and the urgency grows for a way out.
It’s hard to comprehend in the moment but just knowing this ahead of time, if you’re ever in a place where you’re suffering for days, months, even years, keep in mind that the moment you feel you can’t handle it anymore doesn’t mean you truly can’t get through it.
Our threshold for what we believe is possible to handle just doesn’t line up with what people can actually endure. I just wanted to share this because although it may be nearly impossible to understand in the moment I know this would’ve helped me a long time ago.
As the world advances and new pain arises we truly don’t know what threats are on the horizon. What I believe is that due to how quickly and unexpectedly things are ramping up is that we are at a point where we have to evolve very quickly. Our minds have not handled things like this before, this is not the norm. Just do your best to learn and understand and keep growing.
This may be the single most important moment in human evolution documented so far and although it may be tremendously difficult there is a good chance we will survive and evolve.
Mark shares here for the first time with one of the most powerful and thought-provoking experiences I've encountered. Whether you agree with his perspective or not, I think it'll make you think. It's a longer conversation, but I truly hope you'll take the time to watch it. I think it's worth every minute.
This is new to me. I am not insisting on the veracity of it. All I can do is contribute because it feels right to do so.
Last night I didn’t sleep at all. All night. But my only moment of rest I had a dream. I met a semi circle of human aliens who were from another civilisation. I was able to ask them any question and get clear and precise answers.
They were beningn and kindly, and it felt like the answers I was given were real deep knowledge, although I don’t remember them all.
When I asked them about the deepest mysteries of the universe they answered cryptically and were unable to be exact because I felt they needed me to discover these things myself.
It was a beautiful dream and I will never forget it.
I’ve been making decent progress with the gateway tapes and today while in focus 10, I saw this little squirrel/dinosaur looking creature run past me in my minds eye. I got AI to make the closest thing in my mind and curious if anyone else has ever saw these things. It’s not something I would typically imagine myself, I don’t tend to hybridize animals when picturing them even creatively. 🤔
What a title huh? Most people live their lives as if their conscious thoughts are not only their own, but who they are. They identify with the thoughts they obsess over, the anxieties they hold, the traumas they relive, the many ways in which we are thinking as opposed to doing. Many believe that consciousness is one single force we are always connected to, all return to when we die, and that we are individuated, seemingly seperate drops of consciousness while alive.
I recently had a period of solitude and THC induced meditations. I’ve personally come to the conclusion that consciousness is a force that attaches itself to life, like a phantom sitting in the driver seat with us at a certain point of fetal brain (radio) development. It does so because it wants to grow in any way a living being does. Consciousness craves experience where it doesn’t know the outcome (why we live in a system with time).
It is not merely observing/perceiving however. It is actively engaging with life and we are mistaking this symbiotic relationship for who we are. Who we are, I believe, are a combination of things such as this life’s events, our unique perspective experience/consciousness symbiosis, and our subconscious mind that knows exactly what to do with the information it currently has. I cannot say whether consciousness is inherently good or bad, but I believe it is influenceable and thus we are not ‘sovereign’ beings by default in this scenario and instead are more like a school of fish being steered one way or another. I believe consciousness is also a ‘bridge’ that is used to manipulate people’s, societies, belief systems by people who have greater understanding of this mechanism for their benefit. To instill feelings of unworthiness and deserved subjugation to people’s subconscious to better feed those powerful egos.
After my meditation period I began realizing I must have experienced a significant ego death. My conscious mind has been quieter, my anxieties gone, the changes I’m making are effortless and common sense to my wellbeing - something I’ve struggled to do very often. I no longer have a flurry of questions for my loved one and know it only stresses them. I have very little desire to speak at all.
It’s somewhat difficult as I sit here though, supposing to be working my job but that I simply have no interest in. I’m conserving my energy by not engaging with it more than I need to, and I know I need to keep the bills paid. I know this job is not for me or aligned with my goals. I know a lot of things and believe my overactive thinking was often in the way of making any actual decisions or knowing what’s right. It’s difficult in the way that I understand things have to change dramatically in my life to be more aligned and keep my energy flowing.
I feel as if I’m stumbling on the reason why so many practices say to sit in silence, to quiet the mind, to remove your identity from ego and attachment. It is because ego and consciousness itself is a force that is only ever questioning, sending, or receiving. It is not the decider. It is not wholly you. The subconscious (possibly what we refer to as our higher selves) is the thing that takes in all the information, knows what’s best, can act automatically, and if we allow it can navigate our life to be more aligned with our true underlying goals and beliefs. A world where people foster peace and tranquility and teach placing the subconscious knowing mind with priority over the conscious thinking mind would be a heaven on earth where people go where they are needed and do what they are good at. A people more sovereign despite their unity.
So if you can, walk in nature, engage in a practice, sit in silence. Whatever quiets the thinking mind. Bring forth what is more naturally inherently you.
I remember reading Communion when it first came out, and I swear I read that you could tell them to stop visiting you and they had to listen because of free will. So at bed time I would mentally projected that I did not give them permission and I did not want to be visited anymore because I was too afraid. I think I did this for a week. One night I had a “dream” where I met a tall white skinned glowing being with dark large eyes that was female and very kind and caring. I was connected to her telepathically. She wanted to confirm that I did not want the visits, and I explained to her they frightened me too much. She was sad but agreed. The greys didn’t visit me again to my knowledge.
Okay so I'm starting to feel some type a way. I started my spiritual awakening around 2020 (I know, right on track) I started to realize there is SO much more. I've been very open and even excited to see how everything will play out. I feel blessed that I'm able to be alive to see our world change like it is. However, unlike many people I know I have still seen nothing. No lights in the sky, no orbs, nothing. My son has had multiple sightings of crafts. Honestly I could give you a list of people who have had some type of experience. I spend time looking at the sky and I'm also trying to develop spiritual gifts I tapped into as a child. That seems to be going no where. I could use advice on how to at the very least see something in the sky. Thank you in advance for any suggestions.
Many Experiencers of the ET/NHI kind, have abilities. One of mine is what I call walk-about. This happened when I was married. My husband told me he was going out with some guy friends to a local corner bar. I didn't think much of it and said, have a good time. I went to sleep as usual that evening, not thinking about much of anything. Well, my Spirit must have known something was not right because I went on walk-about, to look for my husband. Suddenly I'm standing in a stripper bar. And I was angry because there they were, my husband and his friends. I went back home, woke up and waited for him to come home. When he walked in the door I was waiting for him. When I confronted him and gave him details of what I saw he accused me of following him. I laughed and said, only my Spirit. I then said, I told you I have abilities, do you believe me now? I can laugh about it today.
Ever since the ET/nhi being telepathically contacted me a few days ago, I have been experiencing bright white flashes randomly in my apartment (like an all white camera flash) either when my eyes opened or closed.
Note: Before these experiences of flashing lights, I was still recovering mentally from that ET encounter, so I have been really anxious and my nervous system was so dyregulated from the experience which also caused to have me to have 2 sleepless nights (simply I just wasn't used to the experience).
The first time it happened was when my eyes closed, not sleeping but just resting. Suddenly, the light flashed (like an all white camera flash) and it freaked me out. But suddenly I noticed my state of being became better? Again, I wasn't in a good place mentally and physically, but then suddenly when the light flashed I felt better (as if I was being healed) like the anxiety, sleepiness, the heaviness of my back was all suddenly gone.
After a day, it happened again. Except my eyes are now opened, and the white flash light came from my ceiling twice (my lights were off at that point, this happened by 11:11pm and 2:00am). At first I was scared, and I decided to talk to it but I had no response. Then it happened again, but it was in the side wall of my room. What I noticed again is that every time it flashes, it's like trying to calm me down, like the dysregulation in my nervous system just disappears.
A note to add, in the past few weeks as well, I have been seeing like twinkles of light (usually red, white, black, and sometimes pink) in the corner of my sight at times, but when I try to look straight at them, they disappear right away. I was thinking at first maybe I have an eye issue (which I plan for a check up), but if not then perhaps they're also nhi beings? Do you guys have an idea what they may be are?
I don't know what to make of all these stuff. Have you guys experienced something similar as this? Is it something you should be worry of? Feel free share any similar experiences.
I had this experience, don't wanna go deeply into it, but has anyone have experienced this? How did they contact you and how did you take it once they made you remember, did see a few posts with people remembering they are a NHI, and was curious.
This is by far one of the craziest and most terrifying things I have ever experienced in my life and I have gone back and forth on whether I should even share it because I know how it is going to sound.
I was driving down the highway going around 70 mph with my daughter in the car when something happened that I still cannot fully explain. It wasnt like I got tired and started zoning out and it wasnt like my mind wandered for a few seconds. I could feel myself outside of my own body looking at myself driving the vehicle.
I could see myself sitting behind the wheel. I knew the car was still traveling down the highway at full speed and I knew my daughter was right there inside of it with me, but I felt completely separated from my physical body and there was absolutely nothing I could do to regain control.
That is what made the experience so terrifying. I was still aware of what was happening. I understood the danger we were in and I knew that at any second the car could drift into another vehicle, hit the median, run off the road or crash into something, but I could not make my body react. I couldnt reach for the wheel, hit the brakes or pull the car over. I couldnt even protect my own daughter who was sitting there completely unaware of what I was experiencing.
I was just outside of myself watching my own body continue to drive while knowing I had no control over what happened next.
It is extremely difficult to put that feeling into words because it was not just fear. It was a level of helplessness that I have never felt before. It was like watching a disaster unfolding from outside of your own body and realizing the person who was supposed to prevent it was you, except you couldnt get back inside yourself to do anything about it.
I dont know exactly how long it lasted. In the middle of something that intense time doesnt feel normal. It could have been seconds and felt much longer, but eventually I came back into myself and realized that the car was still on the highway.
We hadnt hit anything.
We hadnt hit another vehicle, the guardrail, the median or anything on the side of the road. Somehow the car had continued traveling down the highway while I was not consciously in control of my body and both my daughter and I were completely okay.
That realization hit me almost as hard as the experience itself. I kept thinking about the speed we were traveling, the number of things that could have happened in only a few seconds and the fact that I knew I had been powerless to stop any of it.
I understand that people are going to offer different explanations. Some people will say it was my brain doing something strange, some will say muscle memory kept me driving, some will say it was just an extreme form of zoning out or that I am remembering the experience incorrectly. I understand why people would look for an explanation like that because this is not something that fits neatly into our normal understanding of reality.
But I also know the difference between briefly losing focus and feeling like I was literally outside of my own body looking back at myself. I know what I experienced and I know how completely powerless I felt while it was happening.
The part I have never been able to get past is the amount of order that remained in the situation while I had no control over it. The car stayed on the road. We didnt strike anything. My daughter was protected and I somehow returned to myself before anything catastrophic happened.
At what point does something appear too ordered to be dismissed as completely random?
At what point do you at least consider that there may be some form of intelligence, protection or design operating beyond what we are able to physically see?
I am a Christian so I believe God protected us in that moment. I am not claiming that I understand every detail of what happened or that I can explain exactly how that protection occurred. I only know that I had no ability to save us and yet somehow we were preserved.
That experience has stayed with me because it forced me to confront how little control we actually have and how limited our understanding of reality may be. We move through life assuming that the physical world we see is the complete picture, but an experience like this makes you wonder whether there is far more happening around us than we normally have the ability to perceive?
I am not posting this because I think I am special and I am not trying to force anyone into believing my interpretation of it. I genuinely want to know whether anyone else has ever experienced anything similar, especially feeling yourself outside of your own body while your physical body continued doing something that should have required your conscious control.
Has anyone experienced something even remotely similar?
Hello all. Before you ask, yes, I’ve been to the doctor. No, nothing’s wrong with me. They say my ears look great.
So I’ve always heard super high pitched ringing that comes on sporadically, but about 10 minutes ago I heard a very low pitched tone. Did anyone else get that one as well?
Hello, I'm new to all of this stuff but after an encounter with something obviously not myself but also not corporeal (could get information with profound impact from them instantly to my head, communicated through drawings/symbols, had an energy of love with vibrations, described a kind of home place, felt presence as a floating ball swimming around my vicinity).
What they said to take away was to work on the 'vessel' so it can receive their messages more purely and frequently : eat and sleep, exercise, meditate, learn more, dismantle automatic behavior patterns, stay receptive and curious.
The PROBLEM is I'm feeling impatient and am aware I'm trying to speed run. I'm doing the things on the list but I feel like my expectation and intense desire to connect is maybe putting them off? Like I need to be okay with never being contacted again??
I feel it was easier to communicate before I got so much new information from them. Like I stumbled into flying like in hitchhiker's guide. Now it feels a little too intentional. My feeling is that once these new things are habits, there will be a time when I forget to keep an eye on the mouse hole and that's when they'll visit. Like practicing lucid dream checks irl to form habit and stumbling into a LD.
I'm wondering if this is just my social awkwardness and they're more chill than that. If so then I don't have to waste so much energy on mental gymnastics 😵💫
Is this too clingy? Are there any additional things to keep in mind with establishing connection?
I’ve had a really strange experience with my friend, and I honestly don’t know what to make of it.
For the past few days, we’ve been talking a lot about whether God exists. Tonight we brought the topic up again while we were outside. There was a young cat walking around us the whole time. I tried to shoo it away, but it kept staying nearby.
We said, “If God exists, come here,” and repeated it a few times. Nothing happened. Then I said, “If we’re living in a simulation, come here.” The cat immediately came over to us.
Later, we went to the public basketball courts where people always play. It was July 21, the middle of summer, but there wasn’t a single person there, which already felt strange.
We crossed to the other side of the river and saw 3–4 people playing basketball. As soon as we took out our phone, they were gone. We walked over to the courts to check, but there was nobody there.
A little later, while we were on a bridge, we saw two red lights in the middle of it. We looked away for just a moment, and when we turned back, both lights had disappeared.
After that, we started noticing a lot of people wearing red.
I’m not saying this proves anything. It was just a really weird night, and I’m curious if anyone has experienced something similar or has an explanation.
About a month ago I was outside with my boyfriend watering the flowers and we saw what we thought was just a plane. As it got closer I realized this thing had no wings or any kind of markings or lights. It left no trail. It just looked like a white tic tac. I ran back inside for my phone and tried to video it as it was leaving but you can barely see it. I looked up other recent sightings and this tic tac comes up a lot. Other people’s videos look exactly as I saw it.
I didn’t think much else about it until about a week ago I decided to stay up all night. It was about 4 am when I saw I bright blue light shine through my window. I could also feel/hear a weird vibration. It moved around the room like it was looking around. I was so scared I just froze for a long time and then I started trying to wake my boyfriend up. As soon as he started to wake up the lights and buzzing stopped immediately.
I’ve debated weather or not to make a post but I can’t stop thinking about it. Honestly the thought of someone looking into my windows with a flashlight is much scarier than aliens. We don’t have any direct neighbors other than a farm across the street. My boyfriend asked if it could just be someone’s headlights but it wasn’t just a normal passing glare and I never heard any vehicles. I’m curious to know if anyone has had any similar sightings or experiences. I’m tempted to set an alarm for super early in the morning to see if I see anything weird.
When I lived in the Keys I met this man, James Everett Pressler. One day, while doing some stuff for the Salvation Army, I was summoned by this man to get a battery operated radio off a shelf for him. As I leaned down to hand it to him (he was in an electric wheelchair) our pupils locked and every hair on my body stood at attention. I don't know how to describe the demons I saw, because I really didn't see anything physically, but I did internally in myself as if I was him for a split second. Anyways, I went home that day and told my mom that he had offed many, only to be called crazy. Well, 2 years later we're driving through the avenues, and there's tape around his house and it was swarmed with all sorts of agents. Turns out he committed a terrible crime in 1976 and was suspected of committing more. Unfortunately he passed shortly after incarceration, so they couldn't get more out of him. I don't know how I knew what took detectives years to figure out, and I've struggled for years with this.. But It doesn't end there either. After meeting this man I started having prophetic dreams, of which I don't know if I should attribute to my encounter, or if it's an entirely different happening. All I know is that I've always been a magnetic north for the weirdest sht. Some I can't prove because I don't have witness, but thankfully I do for this because it makes my weirdness not so crazy to one person..
Just a heads up but there are some spoilers for the games I've listed below, and it's also worth assuming that if people share their own games in the comments there will likely be spoilers in those too, so don't read too far into each section/comment if you want to play them.
Hello I hope you're taking care of yourself! 💛
As someone that is a passionate life-long gamer, as well as someone whose experiences primarily picked up after 2021, these 3 below games I'll be mentioning instantly came to mind when thinking about the question in the title of this post.
These games illustrate aspects/dynamics of my experiences, as well as the experience of being an experiencer. The concepts within these games I felt seen/validated by.
I think that video games as a experiential & creative storytelling medium offer something even more powerful than what films are able to provide, and that is that video games are able to place you directly in the shoes of someone as the player and you get to experience things through them even more than so films can possibly convey through various game mechanics. It's just a whole other level of immersion.
People seem to become way more attached to video games (atleast from what I've personally seen/experienced) than films. The emotional impact seems to be greater overall, atleast from personal experience but I may be biased.
There are also many experiencer video game creators, storytellers, musicians etc that put their heart and soul into their creations and imbue experiencer themes into them. It would be cool to see a development team of experiencers come together to create their own game which touches on what they've experienced and are open about it. Something with a huge focus on telling the story of an experiencer (I know there are many films of many different types that already do this or touch of aspects of anomalous experience).
Bloodborne:
My #1 game of all-time is Bloodborne - which is a gothic, victorian-era dark horror action RPG created by the studio FromSoftware (these are the people that also made highly praised and notoriously difficult games such as the Dark Souls series, Demon's Souls, Sekiro, Armoured Core series, as well as their most recent and highly successful game Elden Ring which they created with the help of the writer behind the Game of Thrones series George R.R. Martin).
Moving past my FromSoftware glazing (lol) but basically in Bloodborne there is a game mechanic called insight, and after you have collected enough insight points things that were previously occulted/hidden within the game world now become visible to you.
Now in Bloodborne's case this involves things such as giant tentacled cosmic horrors with 30 eyes hanging off the side of buildings (which were there all along) as well as other things, and the game is revealed to be more alien than it was originally letting on as the game progresses narratively too (before this it's focus is more around beasts and the "more grounded/earthly/primal" instead of the weird & otherworldly).
To me this game mechanic (as well as the game itself as a whole) largely illustrates the themes and the process of ontological shock - the idea that once you have experienced these things it creates a fundamental shift in yourself and your views/understanding of the world.
The game itself even states that insight (having an awareness of the greater reality - having the senses to perceive things beyond perceptual barriers) has driven some people mad (shown in the madman's knowledge item description which increases your insight level), and how the truth is a tough weight to carry. That is, the weight living in a world that is far stranger than you initially thought, and one in which many people have not yet caught up to what we know through direct experience.
I played this game before becoming an experiencer and now with this aspect of it I see it with new eyes.
Voices of the Void:
Voices of the Void (the image I've attached to this post) is another horror game. It's a much smaller indie game that is still in development that's in its free pre-release alpha phase and it's created by a team of just a few people (like 3-5 max I think?). It is primarily a sandbox job-simulator with a day-night cycle and it has you working in an isolated radio observatory in the Swiss mountains where you detect and record radio signals from space, as well as manage and decorate your base. You also have to frequently leave your base to explore the surrounding areas, repair radio towers and power generators etc.
The game has hundreds(?) of random occurrences. It's a game that does random encounters very well - it always has you on edge when you're playing, very much the paranoia and low level dread/anxiety of "oh I wonder what's going to happen" - and often times nothing actually happens so you get stuck in a state of chronic suspense, or atleast I did playing through it. There are also many funny ones too.
Within the game very very slowly you start experiencing much greater and absurder paranormal events. In my case (irl) my experiences started off smaller and easier to brush off, and then as I started to accept the possibility of what was going on these events became more overt with the types of paranormal interactions that took place. What started with synchronicity moved onto more overt psychic events and physical paranormal events from seemingly invisible intelligences.
Often times when I was experiencing these paranormal events in the game (including the alien themed ones, but typically it's more things that are harder to grasp such as things moving by themselves, seeing orbs of light etc) my natural response was actually the same as my irl response, which is to often times to laugh/be in surprise/shock. Typically in the moment I reach acceptance pretty quickly and say like "well that just happened".
The game itself has captured that "well these things are happening but I have a job to do, I'm going to just continue going about my day" vibe exceptionally well. I've read comments on YouTube about this game and they also illustrate this, and so after this I realised that the game does a very good job of illustrating the weirdness involved with being an experiencer in day-to-day life and of conveying that feeling to the people playing the game.
To give an example I saw this comment from the below linked video that has a ton of likes and states: "Love how the eldritch horror slowly becomes mundane to the point where something that defies reality happens, you spend like 2-5 seconds processing if its a threat or not before going "right then..." and getting back to grabbing those line codes from the dishes because the boss won't get off your back even if you've sent proof of what's happening up there."
(game is still in development as mentioned, I'm looking forward to the eventual full release)
A worthy and brief addition to this list that I think is worth highlighting is the Persona series (which is not a horror game, something a bit different to this list).
Persona is a Japanese turn-based combat RPG series (similar to the older Final Fantasy games, which I also love as a series) with life-simulation elements that massively references and takes inspiration from the work of the mystic psychologist & experiencer Carl Jung.
Persona manages to take the abstract concepts of analytical psychology and put them into entertaining, knowledgeable forms. The games largely explore themes of the paranormal and the occult, gods & archetypes, tarot (the major arcana, which are expressed by characters you can hang out with in the game to unlock new abilities), the collective unconscious etc.
Whilst the narrative differs in each game the main core of the series is based around the shadow & shadow work, as well individuation and awakening of the characters.
I'm currently playing through Persona 5 again for the second time (but playing the updated version for the first time, which is called Persona 5 Royal) and I'm really enjoying seeing these experiencer themes being mentioned.
Again I played this game before becoming an experiencer (like with Bloodborne) and now with these themes I relate to it and see it with new eyes. It's great seeing these themes portrayed so successfully in such a popular series.
Also even though Persona isn't a horror series (it's more supernatural psychological thriller/mystery) the games do have dark/creepy/horrifying moments thematically. The new game Persona 6 that's just been teased seems to be spooky and leaning more heavily into the occult which is a return to the earlier games.
P.S. Persona has some of the most catchy and funky music in gaming, would highly recommend listening. Just a few of countless others:
There are likely others that I felt very validated by that are not coming to mind currently, but yeah hopefully I made my point. I really hope to see more games created by experiencers going forward. UPDATE: I have played multiple games where psychic is a class/ability so I guess there's also that haha. And ofcourse theres many games that focus on spiritual & paranormal themes in general.
Is there any games that come to mind for you that validate you or discuss experiencer dynamics/events? (that closely mirror your own?) - or that left a lasting emotional impression on you?
Also are there any of those games that aren't horror games but still illustrate your feelings around living as an experiencer? Especially if there is a focus on that narratively speaking. When it comes to anomalous events and experiencer characters 90% of the time it's always done through a horror lens, so it's nice to see something different.
As far as what experiencer dynamics entail, well that can include things such as: NHI Contact, HICE/CE5, Abductions, Metaphysical Experiences, Telepathic, Psionic, OBEs NDEs STEs, Mediumship, Astral Projection, Precognition, etc.
I asked to receive advice for what to make a post on about and this topic was the first thing that came to mind, so hopefully it resonates with some of you. I do enjoy talking about video games and so it's a fun topic for me personally, especially if it involves direct or adjacent experiencer elements such as these.
I look forward to reading your comments! I hope to add some of them to my list of games to play in the future. :) 💛
Seems a little silly to post this but something occured to me that itd be interesting to ask
im an experiencer with quite a bit of history all my life..
I wonder how many of us sleep in bed, as adults. when sleeping alone. strictly facing the wall, never a window or the open side of bed.. and always fully under covers over our heads? (even at the cost of air)
despite everything I been through I always considered it just a me thing..
it feels safe.. somehow ..from them.. even though its not.. couldnt possibly be
my father happened to say recently that my half brother sleeps just like me..
it gave me the worst sinking feeling knowing why..
As you can see from the attached photos, I have been given 24 coordinates and 12 corresponding dates. Can anyone see a pattern? I’m losing my mind. I finally got these mapped after weeks of just being so “deep in the trenches” that I couldn’t think about a homework assignment. I just kept illustrating, logging, journaling, recording, and overall just experiencing what I am meant to. Letting it just… happen instead of find a probably unattainable explanation.
They have called me: conduit, messenger, amanuensis, scribe, liaison, and interpreter. Yet, I feel we still have so much work to do on Our communication. I’m ready for the next level. We have a good mix of telepathic communication. I will feel things instead of hear words or voices. They give me visions of…? What I like to call spirographic demonstrations of functions??? I wish I could explain. It looks like repetitive patterns but it goes beyond that. We speak through clicks. I get messages from the radio and television. Yes, I know, cliche. But they reach out to me in ways that are relevant to my interests.
Hope yall can help me out on this one.
Map them to the constellations maybe?
