Native English speaker and English teacher in London looking for a European Portuguese language exchange partner/s
I'm a complete beginner in Portuguese and would be happy to help you practise your English in return. We could meet for a (real or virtual) coffee once a week and split the time between English and Portuguese conversation.
If you're from Portugal and would like to improve your English while helping me learn Portuguese, please get in touch!

I am learning Portuguese and would like to memorize this song
This song has no lyrics that are available anywhere and I would like to memorize it. I am learning Brazilian Portuguese and am aware that it is a European Portuguese song. I really enjoy it and would like to know the lyrics of it. Does anyone have a clue how I could find the lyrics or if anyone can scribe the lyrics for me? I'd appreciate it a lot đđđđ

Obrigado

Hi there! I'm visiting Portugal a couple times over the next few years and am interested in live on-line group classes. I am not looking for a one-on-one tutor. Any ideas?

Certified European Portuguese (PT-PT) teacher offering online lessons, focused on English-speaking learners
Hi everyone, I'm a certified European Portuguese teacher and I give online lessons to adult learners at all levels, from A1 to C1. I work mainly with English-speaking students who specifically want European Portuguese, not Brazilian Portuguese, and who often struggle to find well-structured material for that variant. Lessons are one-on-one and tailored to each student's goal, whether that's conversation practice, exam preparation, grammar, or just building confidence to use Portuguese day-to-day in Portugal. I also create my own teaching materials (workbooks, flashcards, grammar guides) designed specifically for PT-PT learners. If you're looking for a teacher or just want to chat about learning European Portuguese, I'm happy to answer questions in the comments.

Speaking partners
I just started learning European Portuguese and am looking for some places to find speaking partners. Iâm taking lessons on Italki a couple times a week, but think itâd be great to have others that I can just talk with to continue practicing! Any suggestions are appreciated.

Shows or movies in the US?
Iâm looking for shows and movies that I can watch to practice understanding and learning European Portuguese. Iâve heard people say âI learned English watching the show Friends,â and Iâm wondering if I might find benefit with a similar strategy.
I feel like I stumbled across a resource list somewhere on Reddit before, lost it, and canât find it again. :(
I donât mind watching childrenâs media because Iâm still a beginner. In case itâs helpful, I like cozy vibes, lower stimulation, kind characters, comedy, fantasy, vibes of emotional safety. I donât like thrillers, horror, crime, mystery, and action.
Iâve searched Netflix and YouTube, but 99.9% is Brazilian. On Netflix, I found Turn Of The Tide, but that is too intense and too fast for my level of PT-PT comprehension. The one show I found on Netflix that is a good match to what Iâm seeking is Puffin Rock, but for some reason the subtitles donât match (even though the voiceover and subtitles are both in PT-PT)! How frustrating!

Can someone rate my pronunciation of the -lh sound?
Just recorded myself repeating a bunch of words and then two sentences at the end. Have always heard this is one of the harder sounds to learn so wanted to make sure I was doing it right.
