combiners are interesting there like 3-5 Transformers combined into a giant size robot they felt like Boss fight early in Energon Universe now there just giant transformer you know

Makes me wonder how Kirkman will treat them in upcoming issues both in TRANSFORMERS & VOID RIVALS

Specially as story get bigger both on Earth & in Cybertron

On Related Note: if Skybound ever gets the comic license to Power Rangers will be interesting how they treat megazords now thinking about it

Hear me out. I was in the Navy and stationed on an aircraft carrier, so this stood out to me.

Since the 1950s, the US Navy has been fully committed to Catapult Assisted Takeoff But Arrested Recovery (CATOBAR) - basically, we use steam from the reactors for the catapults that launch the jets, then use a big wire to catch the planes when they land. The only reason we’re able to do that is because of our embracing of the nuclear Navy.

Now about the panel - this shows a carrier with a “ski jump” style ramp. In the real world, we’re the only country currently operating strictly flat top carriers. China, UK , Germany, they all have ski jumps. Now, granted, the ship shown is fake - there is no such USS Henry Harrison. However, we can tell from the layout of the ship (location of the island, aircraft elevators, etc) and the following of the naming convention (Carriers are named after presidents), that this is almost certainly a standard Nimitz Class Carrier. The fact that it’s shown with a ramp vice a flat top implies that the US never fully embraced CATOBAR as Naval aviation doctrine, which fundamentally changes how we operate in war.

CATOBAR is how we can launch E-2 Hawkeyes for surveillance/early warning. CATOBAR can support in air refueling. CATOBAR is how we can load our jets with as much armor/weapons/fuel as we do. There’s so many parts of Naval aviation doctrine that rely on CATOBAR! Without CATOBAR, it’s entirely possible that the US is not the global superpower it is today, in our timeline. Aircraft carriers played a MASSIVE role in the GWOT, and the vast majority of what they were capable of was thanks to CATOBAR. I really cannot stress how foundational CATOBAR capability is to the current world order. A US Navy that never fully adopts CATOBAR is relegated to using platforms more like the MiG-29 than the F/A-14 and 18. A US Navy that never fully adopts CATOBAR has its long distance, extended timeline mission capability (literally the defining factor of Naval aviation doctrine) cut off at the knees. Vietnam, the Cold War, Desert Storm/Shield, and GWOT all play out differently without CATOBAR.

Maybe nobody else will find this interesting, but it’s interesting to me!

So with the next issue of Void Rivals coming out tomorrow, with the start of Darak and Solila's quest to find the Cybertronians to assist against the Quintessons per Zerta's request, how do you suspect that the other Cybertronians will react upon learning that Zerta is alive and currently on the Sacred Ring?

We know that she is considered a legend on Cybertron, we know that Springer went to go look for Zerta, most likely to ask her to help with the current war on Cybertron, and we know that Optimus most likely has history with her, considering that he was seen fighting alongside her and Alpha Trion during the war against the Quintessons when he was still Orion Pax. But how do you suspect the others will feel about her?

We know COBRA but mainly Cobra Commander himself is planning something big what do you think will take COBRA to the next phase in the Energon Universe?

I really wanna see what Cobra Commander is doing with Energon besides weapons & after his first big plan failed specially he has Duke on his trail with competition from Decepticons & Miles Mayhem

Maybe another take over the world type deal?

So my local comic shop gifted me a copie of MASK issue 1 and honestly really liked it and got them to put it into my pull list.

What i am wondering now is how far back do I need to read to understand what is happening in the larger story archs and should I be getting into all the energon books to understand or have fun?

I don’t know much about GI Joe but I’m enjoying it so far. Would you all recommend the GI Joe run after these?

This has been a long project but I’m satisfied how it turned out started with me disappointed with me the mask blind bags to a project that I had to finish I hope people enjoy the idea

I don't know about you, but this reminded me of when Cliffjumper beat Deathsaurus

I saw blades in the second volume and was stoked. I either thought that it was a teaser for defensor, or he would become a limb for superion.

Before the confirmed replacement limb for the aerialbots turned out to be thundercracker, I always thought that blades would become alpha bravo at some point.

Has he appeared at any other point in the story besides the shredhead introduction?

Hey everyone!

I've been working on a fan novel called Transformers Moribund, an unofficial crossover between Transformers and Fundamental Paper Education: Transformers AU by u/scaleypatterns.

This project has actually been in development for over a year. The very first concept was created around May–June 2025, but it was completely rewritten later that year into the version I'm writing today.

The story follows Bumblebee and Bulkhead after they are ambushed by a mysterious group of Decepticons from another universe. Unlike the Decepticons we know, this faction has no connection to Megatron and is led by Engel (Tarn), whose goal seems to revolve around Bumblebee for reasons that remain unknown.

One thing I wanted to explore was how the PaperTron Cybertronians differ from the main Aligned continuity. They especially dislike being called "Tecno Organics," which immediately creates tension when Bumblebee unknowingly insults them during his capture.

Some things you can expect later in the story (minor spoilers):

• Bumblebee meeting Windimus (Lizzy) for the first time.
• Petunia (Chromia) chasing Bumblebee after he becomes infected.
• Megatron confronting Engel—not because of a truce with the Autobots, but because Engel has crossed a line even Megatron won't tolerate.
• References to multiple Transformers continuities throughout the novel.

The story also includes a few fun references, such as:

• A joke inspired by Ghostcon's Aligned Continuity videos.
• Ratchet shouting "I NEED THAT!!"
• Blades helping Bumblebee keep his emotions under control.

This novel is completely written by hand. I don't use AI to write the chapters themselves. Any AI assistance has only been for proofreading or general writing advice—the story, dialogue, and narrative are my own.

So what do you of his journey from waking up on Earth & loosing the Matrix of Leadership to now finding how to be a leader without it

What do You Think what Daniel Warren Johnson & Robert Kirkman has done with him & what do you think will happen in future stories?

The next arc could be Duke's Joes protecting her. We already know from issue 25's cover that the two teams are going head-to-head.

Wassup, EU fellows!

Over a week ago, I went to my local comic book store and finally bought the two paperbacks I’d been hunting for. And I’ve read them as soon as I got back home, and they’ve been really great entertainment!

The first one is Duke: Knowing is Half the Battle. This tells the story of Conrad “Duke” Hauser, who goes rogue and starts hunting for the truth about transforming alien robots after a violent close encounter in the air with a certain one we know that turns into a fighter jet (wink-wink). It even comes with many exciting moments where the foundation of G.I. Joe doesn’t happen until its fifth issue and the short story in the Energon Universe 2024 Special. For those who’re die-hard G.I. Joe buffs, you’ll love seeing familiar faces like Hawk, Stalker, Rock 'n Roll, Clutch, and Cover Girl, who make up the first wave of America’s daring, highly trained special mission force. You’ll even see some returning classic foes like Destro, the Baroness, and Major Bludd — all before they (or at least TWO of them) officially became part of COBRA — like you’ve never seen them before.

And finally, Void Rivals Volume 2: Hunted Across the Wasteland. This shows Darak and Solila going on the run for treason in the northern wasteland, hunted by the deadly cybernetic Zertonian warrior-assassin named Proximus. Their fight with Proximus forced them to take shelter and lick their wounds, and they meet yet another friend in another Cybertronian. That Cybertronian is none other than Springer, the Autobot Triple-Changer we’ve gotten to know and love since the Transformers movie from 1986!

Both of these graphic novels have been a real blast! The storytelling and the panel artwork really make these characters pop, and the arcs are setting up what I think will be the most exciting moments in Skybound’s Energon Universe yet for all of us. I’ve never been so immersed in a shared comic universe like this before, let alone being so dedicated to collecting and reading every single one of them.

Just to show you all how far I’ve gotten, I’ve even put together a printed checklist to track my progress. I marked the titles I own with green checkmarks in the boxes next to each of them. I’ll still be picking up single issues here and there to fill the gaps in my collection until more volumes drop.
