How to share feelings if I cant feel?
Im in talking stage with a girl, and she is emptional and feels a lot of thing. On the contrary, my mind stay blank most of the times. I have to force myself to find some thoughts, feeling or emotion. Only thing sometimes I feel is grateful, satisfied and at peace, like I can die at that moment without any regret or desires to complete.
She wants to know how Im feeling when I go silent, but Im not feeling anything. What should I do?

Why can I not listen to sad music?
Is anyone else like this? I'm pretty sure years ago I was able to listen to sad music. Like if I was sad and heard sad music I obviously would have felt those emotions deeply, but if I was happy and sad music came on, I was fine.
Now however, when I'm sad I definitely can't listen to sad music. But when I'm "happy" or "fine", and sad music comes on, I genuinely have a fear if I hear sad music come on in a store or if I'm out and about because I could literally break down in complete tears.
Not sure if this makes any sense whatsoever, basically before I could have listened to it no problem, now I absolutely cannot.
I have suffered some extreme traumatic life things in the past few years so I've probably answered my own question, but I kinda just want to know do other people experience this?

Why can't I feel anything for anyone
I (23f) can't feel anything for anyone, romantically, sexualy, or otherwise. Just nothing. I've gotten into a few relationships in the past that end up crashing and burning because I can't feel anything more than the want to feel something and the crushing realization that i don't. Its not that im emotionless I definitely feel all the emotions, joy, anger ect, but the moment I get close with anyone all emotion for them dies. I recently got into a relationship with a (23f) that I work with (not her real name) Jasmine. Things were alright in the beginning we had fun and when she asked me to be her girlfriend I genuinely thought things would be different and I would continue to have feelings but I didn't, and she does. i want to tell her the truth to keep things from getting worse later on. However we're both in a situation were we can't have our own space im just scared of making things worse than they already are. I already know im in the wrong, im to a point where im thinking about just getting in a car and just leaving all together.

Self-perpetuating states of mind.
galleryNegative emotions are expensive to keep alive.
Not because they hurt.
But because they insist on being kept alive.
Hate is a troublesome emotion.
So is resentment.
So is jealousy.
So is contempt.
None of them ask for a moment of your attention.
They ask for your continued loyalty.
Long after the moment that gave birth to them has passed, they demand to be remembered, revisited, and fed.
They require endless devotion.
Exhausting.
Joy doesn’t require you to manufacture reasons to stay joyful every minute. It can simply arise and fade.
Once adopted, hatred, resentment, jealousy, and contempt often become systems that generate their own fuel.
Positive emotions require no such maintenance. They don’t need to sustain themselves by demanding your attention. Their reward lies in the experience itself.
Love rewards you with connection.
Joy rewards you with delight.
Gratitude rewards you with contentment.
Hope rewards you with possibility.
What makes them truly troublesome is that, after all that devotion, these emotions offer no such return.
Anger can feel empowering. Jealousy can create the illusion of motivation. Contempt can make someone feel morally or intellectually superior. Hate can even create a sense of purpose or belonging.
The point isn’t that they never feel good for a moment—it’s that their rewards are temporary and self-defeating. They don’t leave you better off.
Hate rewards you only with more hate.
Like an addiction, it leaves you craving another dose—another grievance, another comparison, another justification.
It never satisfies the hunger that created it.
It never reaches a point where it says, “That is enough.”
It simply searches for another reason to exist.
It remains hungry.

Overwhelmed
Hi everyone.
I don't even know why I'm writing this. Maybe because I've reached a point where keeping everything inside feels impossible.
I'm 20 years old, and I honestly feel like I'm carrying my whole life alone. I don't have close friends. My family has always been a very difficult place for me emotionally, so home doesn't feel like somewhere I can open up. Most of the time I just keep everything to myself because I don't feel like I have anyone I can truly talk to.
The person I love means everything to me. When I love someone, I don't love halfway. I give everything I have. I think about them all the time, I care about every little thing, and I always want them to feel loved and protected. Maybe I love too deeply. Maybe that's my biggest weakness.
Lately our relationship has been hurting me in ways I don't know how to explain. We had arguments because of things that made me feel insecure and heartbroken. I wasn't trying to control anyone or start fights. I was simply hurt and wanted my feelings to matter too. Instead, I ended up feeling like I was the problem just because I was sad.
That's what breaks me the most. Not the arguments themselves, but feeling like my emotions don't matter. I keep wondering if there's something wrong with me for feeling hurt.
This isn't just about one relationship. It feels like this has happened before in my life too. I keep ending up feeling like I'm never enough, like I love people more than they love me, and eventually I become someone whose feelings are easy to ignore.
I don't expect strangers on Reddit to fix my life. I know nobody here has a magic answer. I think I just need another human being to listen for a while. Someone who won't judge me or tell me to "man up" or "just move on." I can't switch my feelings off like that.
If you've ever felt completely alone, if you've ever felt like your heart was carrying more than it could handle, maybe you'll understand what I'm trying to say.
If anyone has a little time to talk, I'd really appreciate it. Even if it's just a conversation about life, I think it would help to know I'm not completely alone tonight.
Thank you for reading this. I genuinely hope you're doing better than I am, and if you took the time to read all of this, thank you. It means more than you probably realize.

I cry a lot and it's starting to piss me off.
this is a bit long, bare with me.
I am a high school student (F), and I guess I'm considered really emotional for someone my age. I know crying is a healthy reaction to certain things, and it's okay to cry, but how easy it is to make me cry isn't funny anymore. There are some scenarios where it doesn't bother me much, like crying in sad movies and books or when I have really bad stage frights, but they become annoying in some scenarios.
First, I cannot get mad or sometimes even say my opinions clearly. When someone's angry, they usually yell or frown and those stuff, but I can't. When I feel angry, I start tearing up, which gets me more frustrated. It feels weird to yell when I feel this way, which is weird because I know it's the default reaction of being angry or mad. And when (occasionally) I disagree with something, I end up all shaky and tear-y when I express that disagreement. Even frustrations lead up to crying sometime. When I feel like I did bad on a test by my standard, I get really frustrated. And instead of acting pissed and stuff, I ran to the bathroom and cried.
Another thing which I'm dealing with often atm is I cry in confrontations, even when there's nothing to cry about. If I'm in the wrong, yes, I feel guilt, but in confrontations or serious talks where I'm literally innocent, I also cry. My parents have this thing where they give me and my brother serious talks before school year starts and I end up tearing up halfway through. There's nothing sad about it and it's always about the same thing. When they ask me what's wrong, I keep feeling like the words are stuck in my throat and I just choke on them until it physically hurts. It really sucks because I genuinely want to chat with them about school and myself but I never got to because my crying fit ends up making me "non-verbal" (for the lack of a better word). This also happened when my teacher and I were chatting about something (where I was also innocent and it was just a clarification about a rumour) and my voice was shaking. I managed to control it and not cry tho, but it was slightly annoying that it kinda made me look like I was guilty or scared.
Lately I noticed that I've been having some days were I just feel REALLY down for no reason. Maybe it's because of hormones or whatever, I dont really understand it. Sometimes it goes away after a good cry over a sad book, but some rare times it doesn't go away for a few days or up to a week.
I don't go to therapy and is not diagnosed with anything, I'm not sure if I should. I'm also not looking for a diagnosis, I just want to share this because I've been feeling so odd with this "trait" of mine and I've been just calling myself a crybaby to make it sound less serious. It would be nice to hear what others think and if they experience the same thing, I'm interested in trying to understand my own emotions as I am going to be an adult in a few years.

My RBF has affected me my whole life
I’m 18F ever since I could remember my RBF has always made people misunderstand me at first it started when I was like 11 years old and people would give me weird looks or act weird towards me I thought maybe I was too ugly but prior to that that kind of thing never happened.
Until people started asking me why I look angry all the time and it made me sad cause i genuinely wasn’t even when I tried to smile or soften my expression it barely made any difference and I’ve recently adopted a mindset that most people are too shallow to see beyond the surface but I can’t stop thinking about all the opportunities or experiences I could have had if I didn’t come off as stuck up or angry all the time.
I would like to hear anybody else’s experience with this if you can relate

Closure ?
When someone very close to you change's (like your childhood best friend ) and you have hard time accepting it (maybe 1 or 2 year or more) ....how you give closure to yourself.. ?
What you say to yourself ?

I'm taken out, Reddit is doing A.I. summaries that aren't TRUE at all, this is a complete embarrassment and this is how far we've fallen with A.I. No comment.
Autistic people on Reddit are called A.I. and ChatGp, alright if you say so, A.I. is an embarrassment and this gives me another reason not to use Reddit once I promote my Discord server.
What a complete, no comment.
