Are they really releasing this without extras???

I saw it in the theater, and while it was great, I’m not paying $30 to own just the movie.

If you know anything about Elvis’s discography you know there’s no shortage of love songs. Whether they’re sorrowful or blissful, they’re all beautiful. But in all seriousness I’ve been struggling with a terrible breakup that occurred back a few months ago in May of 26. I’m not exactly good now, and I didn’t expect to be perfect it’s only been roughly 2 months. However without the help of Elvis I think I’d still be at square one. He’s always been there for me my whole life from the lowest of lows to the highest of highs. And I’m man enough to admit this breakup has been my lowest low. I felt like I lost my everything. And while I’m not exactly dating ready again, I’ve came to the conclusion I’m not meant to be with the girl I lost, and I know I wouldn’t be in a better place without the king. In particular I’ve had the 2 Memphis albums on repeat as well as a lot of songs off of albums like raised on rock and Elvis Presley blvd. But long story short he’s brought me into a better mind space more times than I can count, and I’d just like to say thank you Elvis. I love you and you’ll be by my side until the day I die. ❤️⚡️

If there was one thing Elvis wouldn’t like about the tour offered At Graceland what would it be and why

I had several Elvis double features at home with the first ones being Blue Hawaii before Girls! Girls! Girls!. Second ones was King Creole before Kid Galahad and the last ones was Wild in the Country before Frankie and Johnny.

This is so typical of Elvis. The biggest star, casually inviting a homeless kid to play football with him, and later inviting him to make his home at Graceland, and eventually gifting him with a tourbus.

I simply love stories like this, showing the spontaneous generosity and non judgemental nature of Elvis.

Look at that photo. It’s February 21, 1977, and Elvis looks as slim as he did in 1973. What if he had continued to take care of himself consistently?

Today we know that Elvis was, unfortunately, destined to die young because of his autoimmune and congenital diseases (setting aside his carefree use of prescription drugs). Yet we’ve also heard many genuine (and sometimes wishful) accounts of what he had planned for the years ahead.

Some say he intended to stop touring that very February, break all his contracts, and take a sabbatical year to lose weight, improve his health, and return with little to no entourage and a new manager. Others claim he planned to stop after the September 1977 tour, take two years off to restore his health, write a book, and produce a film about his life - then return in 1980 with his first worldwide tour, again with no entourage and a new manager.

What do you think Elvis’s strategy would have been if he hadn’t passed away in 1977? Would he have been strong enough to let Parker go? Would he have felt comfortable dismissing all his yes-men? And ultimately, would it have been good for him? I’d love to hear your thoughts.

This mural roughly took me me from March to July to make this mural. Wasn't easy to do as it was very detailed but was worth it.

Mine so far are probably Clambake and Easy Come Easy Go. I have seen Harum Scarum a few weeks ago and it was okay but kinda odd and I seen Stay Away, Joe which was bad as it looks. Some of the other Elvis films that are okay and most of the soundtracks having a lot of hidden gems that aren't too bad are Spinout, Kissin Cousins, and Paradise, Hawaiian Style.

I found this cd bootleg of 40 Greatest Hits in a charity shop. The black bottom of the CD makes me think it could be a CDr though I'm aware some factory pressed CDs have this to make it look like a vinyl. The "grooves" on top of the cd are textured and the label feels like a sticker that has been stuck on. The digisleeve is identical to the original artwork.

Yes the link does say that it is available on Amazon but this is for the version with Elvis Presley's footage removed. In 2009 the footage was restored. Im looking for the 2009 release of this movie.

I was flipping through a screenplay magazine from 1965 when this and another similar photograph from The Monkees were tucked in the pages. I’d love to know more about this photo if anyone knows anything! I’m assuming it was a promotional material that was reprinted and sold separately or with something.

"Late one night, Sandy and I were in our trailer, listening to a winter rainstorm pound away at the roof. At first I didn’t realize there was a knocking at the door. When I answered it, there was Elvis, standing in the pouring rain, looking confused and disheveled, and holding, somewhat improbably, a loaf of bread.

“Jerry, I need you to come with me.”

It was late, and I would have rather stayed in, but there was no way I could say no to Elvis when he was looking so vulnerable. I grabbed a coat, we got to his truck and headed off the ranch. We headed all the way back up to the Memphis suburbs, and Elvis seemed to know exactly where he was going. He got to the neighborhood of Southaven, turned down a street, and pulled up in front of a modest home. He told me it was the home of the pharmacist we dealt with most often in Memphis. He was there for a personal pickup. **I’d known for a while that Elvis was taking too much medication, but I had no idea he knew where our pharmacist lived.**

We’d all been using the prescribed uppers and downers to keep up with the lifestyle we were in, and there had been a few scary moments: Alan Fortas, who had refused to give me any sleeping pills when I started with the guys because he knew the damage they were doing to his system, spun out of control one night in L.A. and had to be taken to the emergency room. He became so violent with the doctors and nurses that it was up to Richard Davis and me to restrain him so he could be sedated.

**But Elvis always seemed to be in control**; you didn’t see him get sloppy or wild. And his usage always seemed tied to some work-related purpose—trying to keep his weight down, or trying to get himself to sleep so he could be up for one of those seven A.M. film-set calls. **He thought of his pills as helpful medicine.**

But seeing the state he was in on that rainy night, and seeing how important getting ahold of some relief was to him, I became worried. Elvis gave everyone cause for concern when we got back out to L.A. One night at the Rocca Place house, **Elvis fell in his bathroom and banged his head hard enough to give himself a concussion**. It was pretty clear to everyone that the reason for the fall was not simply a loose electrical cord on the floor. Whatever Elvis was taking to try to blot out his frustrations was starting to have a clear, negative effect on him."
