Ticks at Don Nottoli Park
Was at the park this morning and noticed ticks crawling all along the grass and playground. Is this normal for the City of Elk Grove? I can't imagine them not being aware of it being an issue. I did call and leave a complaint or "Customer Concern" with the city. Hopefully they address it soon!
Edit: I am surprised by all of the negative and sarcastic replies. I love taking my kids to the park and have never before encountered this sort of concern. That said I also understand that the outdoors is home for our tiny friends'. Unfortunately, Ticks do carry diseases for both people and pets; and considering it is a park popular for my neighbors to take their children and dogs to I hope they take appropriate precautions! More than anything I wanted to warn people who would like to enjoy this beautiful park so they can be mindful and take appropriate measures to protect themselves and their loved ones until the park is tick free!
