I ran into 15 players on a Monday night a week ago. This is amazing since coming back to game pass people are playing of you don't beleave me go check the traffic report in Mahlanja LOL.

I visited Zarura after finding out some of the lore about the Formidine Rift and decided to check it out. I also found out there was an asteroid station at the heart nebula and decided to head there to cash in my exploration data.

I almost always use docking assist but my aspX build meant I had to trade it out for more useful optional internals. So I was quite nervous about landing my ship, I’ve done it a few times and figured better to do it there than back in the bubble.

I hear the welcome message from the station, it’s so nice to hear that after a long time of just hearing “fuel scoop engaged” and “system scan complete”. I get assigned to landing pad 20.

I make it through the mail slot, everything seems to be okay. But I end up overshooting my landing pad and go into camera mode to try to locate it.

I found the slot. I’m still in camera mode and I go to exit it to land my ship but accidentally ended up pressing the boost button on my controller. I feel pure horror as I hurtle towards the end of the base at 390m/s. The thought of all that exploration data gone in a moment of absolute stupidity.

The crash wrecked my shield and I ended up with 34% hull. Somehow I was still alive. I very carefully crawled to the landing pad and breathed a deep sigh of relief. Truly a horrible moment in my elite career but I managed to escape it unscathed.

Just thought I’d share it here. I need to get better at parking up my ship. I’m so thankful I brought a shield, the small sacrifice in jump distance has saved me about 250million credits. I’m not sure now whether to keep exploring or to just head back to the bubble.

How can I a new player participate in this goal. Is there a way I can team up with other players to fight thargoids because I only currently have a viper mk3 and about 9mil credits so wouldn’t be able to get a dope shop that could so one. Just wondering if there is anyway I can participate to get some rewards. Thank you for any responses.

Does anyone know when the next community goal is happening or have they fully stopped it since 2022?

Fighter Bay to show off my glorious guardian fighters, AFM, rescue and collector limpets, big fuel scoop, and sexy as hell. Just need to do some cooling focused engineering and you're good
