Initially wanted to buy a Zephyr Max. Then wanted to buy an Acedeck Nomad N1, finally settled for a Propel.

None could be shipped to PR. What can I do?

Question Sounds coming from my board motor

Quick question. So up until earlier today my isinwheel v10 motor, (2000 miles) started making a weird noise that it only made when my belt was too tight. Now that ive adjusted it I thought it was good but it seems like the sound is coming back. Im just wondering if I can pop the motor open and see what's going on inside? Or would that not work?,

Discussion Dropping some god tier protective gear advice

So longtime lurker first time poster but i got some great advice for you guys. I'm actually super surprised at how often you guys crash, and seeing most injuries are abrasion and head related. So here's my advice: Look into motorcycle gear specifically Armored base layers, offroad moto helmets and moto gloves with palm sliders. For your body i suggest an abrasion resistant base layer like PANDAMOTO because they are AA/AAA rated for abrasion (which is overkill for esk8 they literally survive motorcycle crashes) and have armor pockets at the places you're most likely to fall on (knees, hips, back, elbow, shoulders and chest). They come with armor but i suggest getting level 2 armor for the most protection. They also cover the most amount of your body and are extremely low profile. You can wear your regular clothes over this and have FULL protection. Next is HELMETS!! All you guys should be wearing them and FULL FACE not half. Its not just your head but also your jaw and nose and eyes that you need to protect. Look into ECE 2206 rated motorcycle helmets as these are the new standard and provide even rotational injury protection. If you get a ece2206 offroad/mx style helmet they provide AMAZING AIR FLOW. Then GLOVES, you should wear skate specific wrist guards in addition to motorcycle gloves with palm sliders to provide even more redundancy protection to your wrists. These are the big 3 i recommend, i can't say about foot protection as you need a lot of foot control for skateboards and theres wearable motorcycle airbags but i dont think the algorithm will work for esk8

Question Tynee Ultra Hub or Backfire G2 Black (USA)?

I'm in the U.S. and looking to buy my first electric skateboard. I've narrowed it down to:

  • Tynee Ultra Hub OR belt version
  • Backfire G2 Black (R5s Remote) OR belt version
  • Backfire ERA 5

Which would you choose and why? I'm mainly looking for reliability, customer support, replacement parts, and overall value. Any long-term owner experiences would be appreciated!

Question NEED HELP: BACKFIRE ZEALOT ONLY TURNS ON WHILE CONNECTED TO CHARGER

So bummed out, I just bought a new controller. Seems to be a battery issue right?

Is it even worth the fix? Backfire team said i’d have to drill holes in the deck since they don’t have the original zealot battery in stock…

New battery costs $300…

PSA Stay away from Maxfind

Post image

Maxfind is a very concerning company that engages in deceptive or fraudulent behavior. It looks like this has already been warned on this subreddit already, but I wanted to share my experience to warn potential buyers about Maxfind’s deceptive customer service and dispute practices. I requested an order cancellation within an hour after purchasing, well before it was packed. Support claimed it was "already dispatched" two days later, and demanded a $70 cancellation fee. However, the FedEx tracking they provided proved they didn't even create the shipping label until one minute before emailing me. When I pointed out their policy says cancellations are free before shipment, they changed their story about how they have an automated dispatch system, and told me to refuse delivery so it would return to their warehouse.

When it arrived, I refused delivery like they told me to, and FedEx returned the item to their warehouse. I reached out again to get a refund, because I still have not gotten a refund despite them specifically telling me that they would handle the refund. They ignored the follow-up email, and did not process a refund even though they even signed for the item. When I opened up a case in PayPal, they disputed it by saying there is a tracking number to PayPal, exploiting PayPal's automated system to auto-deny my initial claim. I only received my refund after calling PayPal directly with proof of return tracking and their email thread. This all took nearly a month, and required a lot of back and forth communication. If you are considering purchasing from them, I would be cautious and look at the other posts on this sub with similar concerns!

Discussion Refurbished Meepo Mini 3 Max

Absolutely incredible world class customer service from meepo and the Meepo team 🙏 Got it within 3 days because I live in Cali and it only came with 19 miles on it 😭 idk if most people will get that lucky with low miles but everything looked absolutely flawless. The remote took an obvious fall and had a small nick but that was pretty much it from what I could tell. I took the board for a test and when I got back I noticed small cracks on the plastic sleeve that hold the wheel to the hub motors. I talked to meepo and right away they sent me replacement metal sleeves for the mini 3 max. I already got the shipping notification so it's on the way 🙏🔥 Even before I got the board I asked them about the battery and how they don't replace them and they sent me a half off for a battery for my board. I clearly didn't need it with only 19 miles on my board but still super nice. I've had nothing but the best experience with meepo's customer service and it's probably the reason I'll never switch companies.

Meepo Flow and Meepo Envy have the exact same hobbywing esc and exact same motor sizes...I present to you the Meepo ENVY MAX FLOW!!!!

(Controlled by a Tynee Mini 2 remote that's 4 years old with the OG 4wd setting still in it hahaha)

I have the first version of Meepo Flow with the p42a cells thank God! Its powering all four motors.

Because while the newest flow comes with the higher capacity samsung 50s batteries....their continous amp output is half of the p42a cells. So this set up should run pretty damn well with the 12s2p p42a flow battrry pack.

We will see how it does, but Im so excited to hit the streets with this thing....but I gotta wait until either some extra belts come in or extra pulleys lmao 🤣 put it all together just to realize im short on belts for 40t pulleys(I have four 40t pulleys) and I only have THREE 32t pulleys(but I have four belts for them) DAMN IT.

I will return with an update on the "MEEPO ENVY MAX FLOW"

Question First elongboard

Bought a Tynee Explorer Pro yesterday! What should I expect? Kinda excited. I've "manual" longboards but using those leaves me with knee pain if I do much uphill pushing).

I've a couple of local parks I'm keen to try out with it.

Question Recommendations Needed!!!

I just got a new job in the city and need some solid transportation while being easy to carry and store in my cubicle. I have over 20 years of skateboarding and Surfskating experience. Weigh around 210lbs.

Wants/Needs
1) 10-15 mile range
2) Nimble
3) 25mph+
4) Smaller Form Factor
5) Good Remote
6) Adjustable Breaking
7) Long Lasting/ Interchangeable Parts

Wheel size isn’t really a care for me as my city has well paved paths.

I have been looking at the Linn Viper 50s but I havent seen any indepth reviews on life span of its parts or even top speeds.

Any recommendations help! Thank you!

Question Any idea what kind of bolt this is, I accidentally stripped it. (Isinwheel v10)

All I know is that the bolt is a 2.5mm hex.
Also I put the motor in a spot where the belt is very loose so I don’t want to ride it.

Fluff Finally got to take out the new board!

I was having some issues with my Exway flex and decided I should probably look into upgrading. I ended up finding this gear drive Hurricane Vader with 50 miles on it for $450. I actually haven’t been able to ride much due to all the rain and the heatwave recently but now that I’m getting it out it’s been really fun! I still prefer my bamboo Exway for some tighter turns and lighter weight (I brought it to class almost every day) but for longer rides this thing is a BEAST. Took it across 3 towns on one charge! Not to mention the inflatable tires make cracks and bumps literally a non-issue.

I’ll still probably use my Flex for getting to and from classes so I don’t have to carry this up flights of stairs or anything. But for everything else the Hurricane wins hands down. I really wish more people got into this hobby it’s so worth it!
