One click from under the hood and that’s it. Jumping it wouldn’t work, I just tried taking the battery to AutoZone to recharge it and it didn’t make a difference. Is it the starter?

I’m looking at doing some very basic fabrication for a catch can mount on my 328i. I installed the 3-stage disa intake recently, and when I was pulling my original intake I found oil just sitting in the bottom of the manifold. I know the disa valves are sensitive to oil intrusion so I got a catch can, but can’t find any huge holes in the engine bay to install it. I don’t use my engine cover, so I was thinking of doing a little bit of fab work to build a custom mount in front of the engine using the old engine cover mounting holes.

I really just wanted to get some thoughts on the setup and see what y’all thought before I made it out of metal. I’m a bit concerned with how long the run will be, but I don’t think it should cause any issues.

Any of you guys ever bought something like this? Want to convert my base 328 to M-sport without buying the 800$ OEM front/rear bumpers.

Looking to buy my first e90 and wondering whether or not pre-lci makes a big difference, as I'm looking between a 2010 323i (10.9k) and a 2007 323i (10k), is it worth the extra ~900

Full lci + m sport conversion, built bavgruppe headlights, idrive retrofit and more retrofits to come until it's fully loaded.

Hey guys, I have a 2011 335i. I’ve been experiencing an issue where sometimes after parking or in a drive thru I’m getting this squealing noise. If I turn the car off and back on or start driving it goes away. It never happens when the car is started. I had the valve cover replaced about 15k miles ago so I’m hoping it’s the not the PCV. I will say it is time for new brakes and rotors could that be cause? Any input is appreciated, thank you!

New to me 335i and my 1st car that isnt a suv or a truck. Misfire code and some oil leaks no biggy. To my surprise roaches in the cover and in the coils themselves! Idk how they even got in there.

Passed a STAR smog test 3 days ago, no issues. Now I’ve got a cyl 1 misfire and a knock sensor code.

Pulled the coil and plug on cyl 1 — both bone dry, nothing in the plug well.

Pulled the plug and looked down the bore — wet oil sitting on top of the piston. Cyl 2 completely clean for comparison.

Oil’s wet, not baked on, so this feels recent/active, not something that’s been slowly building. Isolated to cyl 1. Sudden onset in the last few days since it passed smog fine.

Anyone else run into a similar issues ?

Did I just get a bad one or does anyone else have issues with theirs? When blowing through oem pcv valve it’s easy and works one way, when trying on bms pcv I CANNOT get air through no matter how hard I blow, the spring is super stiff. I can push it with a small tool so I know it can move. Because the valve is so hard to move when installed it causes a squealing and whistling sound from pushing air out other seals. Did you have to cut your spring if you have one or was it just good to go? Oring is changed to a smaller one because the one it comes with is too thick to fit.

Looking for sanity check. 2006 325xi. Car was having problems at low rpms. I was getting injector 1 and 5 codes and running smoothness values were very high on cylinder 1. I turned off injector using ista on each cylinder and doing so on cylinder 1 did not cause any change. I swapped plugs and coils with a different cylinder to isolate the problem to injector 1 and sure enough the problem persistent on cylinder 1. I changed injectors on 1 and 5. The car runs great now. No codes after 50 miles. Very smooth. The thing that is driving me nuts is that if I use ista and disable injector on cylinder 1 now it still has no effect on the engine. Doing so on every other cylinder causes shaking. Logically this means cylinder 1 is not contributing but how is that possible with no codes , running well and ista smoothness showing every cylinder close to 0. I’m at loss. Hoping someone can point to something obvious I’m missing

I was in the process of dropping the subframe on my 335i for some maintenance.

I got to the left front bolt and got it loose with the wrench, but it won't stop spinning and it isn't coming out. Anybody had this problem before, or does anybody know if there is a way to fix this?

Was accelerating onto the highway when this happened and was shaky when accelerating before as well. I have a 30 day warranty should i bother trying to get them to replace the valvetronic and gear to see if that fixes it or just get my money back? Only 84000 miles btw and the bodys in great shape. How fucked am i? Thx

I'm looking to change the gear knob for my 2011 E90, but I've noticed that every knob i find is missing the notches that go into the plastic piece under the gear knob (please see attached pictures). Will these fit anyway somehow, or will i have to find one with the same notches?

Just unboxed my new headlights, OEM xenon’s with the clear reflectors. They came from Indonesia.. I really kicked myself after purchasing them because I realized I could have ordered LCI headlights and retrofit them if I was going to spend the money.. Lci looks so much better imo. It was an impulsive purchase but I’m excited to get them installed. Going to look so much better than my foggy headlights that I’ve cleaned and still look like shit. They were $459 before shipping and import taxes which were $180 💀💀 Didn’t expect the import taxes. Also had to spend $1700 today because I hit a curb yesterday and bent one of the struts 😭 also had to get a new tire from driving on the bent strut for almost 100 miles it wore the inside of the tire down to the metal. Expensive accident but shit happens, sure I could have replaced them myself for much cheaper but I need the car for work and didn’t have time to wait for parts and worry about installing both front struts and then still taking it in for a new tire. Kept the factory sport suspension but the front end is sitting probably 2” higher from the old struts being blown. Maybe now I can stop tearing up the front bumper and hitting my exhaust when going over speed bumps

You should probably tar and feather him on the spot. This is less than two years old, under 10k miles of use.

How much oil do i need to put ??

Hard to capture correctly on pictures, but wanted to share the individual specced 330i I picked up earlier this year.

It was from an older German couple and they were the 2nd owners for 19 years. First owner was BMW Ag, car spend his first year without registration/plate. Not sure where it was used, and probably impossible to find out (dealerpoule, shows, hq?).

Very happy with the spec. Price now was lower than the individual package costed alone back in the days😆.

Trying to reset and calibrate my adaptations for my dct and running into some problems. I can do the standard static reset torque characteristics curve.

But I'm trying to do the full one where you have to have operating temps, rev at 2k in neutral etc.

I'm getting a error this function is not set available in integration level 520 of the BMW-M.

One thing I noticed when it did the full scan of the car it said it's a manual but in control unit tree it does show DKG(DCT).

Any advice I am probably doing something incorrect.

It's a 2011 e93 335is.
