[Wednesday] Price Check Megathread

Welcome to the Price Check Megathread.

This mega will be posted every Wednesday at 8am. Interested in what a player's value is, especially in the offseason where things can change day to day? You are in the right place. Just post a player's name and other members can respond with what they feel the player is worth. You can get as specific as an individual pick or just talk in more general terms such as "two early firsts."

The most common league size is 12 team, so expect to see values running under that assumption. If you are in a smaller or larger league, it is easy enough to adjust per your league settings.

Megathread Schedule:

Sunday: Rate My Team

Monday: Mock Draft/Draft Results

Tuesday: Find-A-League

Wednesday: Price Check

Thursday: Find-A-League

Friday(Every other week): App/Platform Sharing

Saturday: Mock Draft/Draft Result

Dynasty Theory Who's your sell before the season starts?

I asked 2 weeks ago, Who is everyone trying to buy before the season starts, who do you believe in before their value sky rockets. It got a lot of good discussions going and was cool to see how different people value players in this slow time of the fantasy season. So for this week who are we actively trying to sell before the season starts, who do you think got too much offseason hype/buzz that their value will plummet once the season starts.

My example is Achane while I do believe in the player I don't believe in the team they seem to be at least 2 years away from being an actual team and him being undersized scares me for what shape he will be in after 2 years of being the whole team.

Dynasty Theory I tracked 2,530 losing dynasty teams, and saw the managers who won value at the trade table were more than twice as likely to finish top-three next season

When your dynasty team is losing, what matters more?

  1. Acquiring more "market value" than you surrender when the trade happens.
  2. Choosing assets that eventually become more valuable than what you give up

I looked at 2,530 manager-by-league seasons where

  • The manager made at least three graded trades while holding a losing record.
  • The manager remained in the same Sleeper league the following season.
  • Final regular-season standings were available for that next season.

I averaged each manager’s trade-day value margin from those losing-record trades, separated the managers into five equal groups, and measured how often they finished top-three the following season.

Next-season top-three rate:

12.5% → 17.2% → 18.0% → 23.7% → 28.5%

The managers who extracted the most value were more than twice as likely to finish top-three the following season as the managers who lost the most value.

Then I ranked the same managers by how well the assets they acquired eventually aged:

20.8% → 20.2% → 20.6% → 17.6% → 20.8%

Nearly flat.

The obvious objection is that some losing teams are better positioned to rebound. Maybe the successful managers had better records, scored more points, made more trades, or received earlier rookie picks.

So I controlled for:

  • Record at the manager’s final losing-record trade
  • Final-season win rate
  • Points-for rank within the league
  • Actual earned rookie-draft slot
  • Trade timing and volume
  • League size and season

All 2,530 observations had a draft slot mapping. The weakest negotiators actually earned slightly earlier picks than the strongest negotiators, so early draft position was not creating the result. After the controls, it was still 14.2 percentage points. A manager-clustered confidence check placed the likely difference between 9.4 and 18.9 points.

So the takeaway, When you are rebuilding, choosing the right asset is not enough. The price you pay matters. This is not “veterans beat youth” or “picks are bad.” A losing team can win immediate value by acquiring discounted picks and young players. If you overpay for the right young player, you might eventually be correct about that player without meaningfully improving your overall position.

Long story short - Among comparable losing teams, the managers who got the most value at the trade table were more likely to finish top-three the following season. Record severity, scoring strength, trade volume, and earlier draft position did not explain the relationship.

I built readoptionff.com , a free Sleeper scouting tool, and used its historical trade grades for this analysis. Take a look

Player Discussion My Definitive Dobbins vs Coleman vs Harvey Post (Airhorn noises?)

Disclosure: I own Harvey, I am targeting Coleman in the 2nd round of a dynasty rookie draft, around pick 20 overall. Probably will not get him.

I wanted to share a comprehensive outlook based on my research on the Bronco's backfield so everyone is better informed about the competition for touches this year. For the TL'DR crowd, people are over-drafting Coleman.

1.      Broncos System: Sean Payton runs a committee.  Not sometimes, all the time.  He likes to split up touches, frequently using a player with versatility in a “Joker’ role to keep defenses guessing.  Case in point, before Dobbins got injured last year he was averaging 15.3 carries per game which over a full season turns into a total of 260 carries.  Fun fact, that is 16 more carries than any Sean Payton running back has ever received in a season.  From Deuce McAllister to Reggie Bush to Mark Ingram to Alvin Kamara…none of them ever got close to 300 carries.  The proven value in the Sean Payton system is taking the pass catching running back that was drafted in the first two days (Bush, Ingram, Kamara…now Harvey) in PPR related leagues.

2.      Historical Draft Results: Day 1 picks for Payton were Reggie Bush and Mark Ingram.  Day 2 picks were Alvin Kamara and RJ Harvey.  Day 3 picks were Antonio Pittman, Marcus Murphy, Daniel Lasco, Boston Scott, Audric Estimé, and now Jonah Coleman.  This does not prove that Jonah Coleman is the next Audric Estimé, but its not a good trend.  Additionally, the context of his selection is worrying.  The 2026 draft class featured the fewest running backs selected in the first two days in modern NFL history.  Unlike 2025, where players like Tuten and Skattebo could be forgiven for sliding into day 3 because so many more talented runners got drafted ahead of them in a strong class, Coleman was the 4th running back off the board overall in what is looking like a mostly forgettable running back group outside of Jeremiah Love.  For a position that has actually seen it’s pay decrease more than 10% on average over the last decade, as the salary cap has increased 120% and other positions have increased more than 100%, running backs are increasingly seen as highly replaceable, especially those who do not being a pass catching element to the game.  This makes the league’s relaxed attitude on acquiring him concerning, especially the Bears and Vikings who passed on him in the late 3rd for other players.

3.      Talent Comparison: Among the three players, I would argue Dobbins is the most talented, but his injury history is what creates the biggest problem for him.  The persistent lower body injuries have taken their toll and at this point he is increasingly less likely to play a full slate of games (in his career, he never has managed to).  His new contract looks legit, but in reality, it is a 1-year, $8m contract that keeps him in the fold but there is no obligation beyond that.  The other two players are on cheap rookie deals, and I would say they are very different players but comparably talented.  Harvey has the edge on athleticism; Coleman brings more of a power element in the run game.  If Dobbins were out of the picture, I could see them forming a nice tandem.  Sean Payton specifically mentioned that Coleman reminds him of Dobbins.

4.      Statistical Analysis: I have nothing for Coleman.  He is a rookie and will need to learn a system from a coach that is known for limiting his rookie rushing touches.  Reggie Bush drafted 2nd overall and got a lot of work but only 155 carries is about 10 a game average.  Ingram was a first rounder and he got 122.  Kamara was buried behind Ingram and Peterson to start the year; he finished with 120.  Harvey finished with 146, despite being largely used in a complimentary role early in the season.  So, if Coleman starts the year inactive or barely used, this is the buying opportunity to take advantage of someone who bought in on the hype.  Last year on the ground Dobbins was wildly efficient on the ground with a whopping 5ypc.  Harvey meanwhile was a miserable 3.7 ypc.  If you investigate the analysis on how well each played, you will hear persistently that Dobbins was properly rewarded for being a good player and Harvey was a disappointment on the ground.  This is technically true, but context is important.  Per this post: https://www.reddit.com/r/DynastyFF/comments/1ulq57t/comment/ov6lwvx/?context=3  I want to give full credit to OP without mentioning their name and triggering reddit moderation, he explains: “I know people don't pay attention to strength of schedule much when evaluating a player, but in my opinion, when it is extreme, it's possible you should:  Last year, JK Dobbins had 7/10 games against bottom 10 run defenses. And he was miserable against the 3 good defenses. (1.6, 1, and 2.5 yards per carry).  Last year, after Dobbins went down, RJ Harvey had 5/7 of his games against top-10 run defenses (KC, KC, GB, JAX, Chargers).”  The things I know for sure is that RJ is a proven pass catcher and a candidate for the valuable “Joker’ role.  It is also worth mentioning that he was a dual threat QB in college before converting, so even though they did not ask him to throw the football as a rookie if they decided to do gadget shit with him like they used to with Taysom Hill, do not be surprised.  Perhaps the most important statistic for me is that RJ managed 12 touchdowns last year, which leads his entire talented rookie class.  Not only is that surprising, but that fact he also outscored Dobbins while both were healthy indicates how much he has proven himself to be a playmaker for the Broncos even if it has been tough sledding for him as a traditional runner between the tackles.

5.      Final Thoughts:  The vibe is that Dobbins could be valuable this year but no one trusts him to stay healthy.  The contract for him is nice after he spent the last couple years playing on what was essentially a veteran minimum contract.  It is a real concern that he may not even make out of camp healthy given his history of major knee injuries which have limited him to an average of only 97 carries per year in his career.  The vibe on Harvey is terrible.  People are out on him because he entered the league old for a rookie (24), he is undersized and showcased poor ypc as a runner.  While he would be the first day 1 or day 2 draft pick from Sean Payton to bust, people believe he just isn’t “the guy”.  It should go without saying that a 2nd year running back can improve their game just like a rookie can improve over time...but here I am saying it anyway. There is legit hype surrounding Coleman because he is a fun watch.  He seems like a jack of all trades, master of none type talent who runs with power, has soft hands and is a willing blocker.  His height weight combo kind of gives me a Maurice Jones Drew vibe, and people are naturally excited for the Broncos offense which has a lot of upside with Sean Payton at the controls.  Unfortunately, he didn’t run a 40 at the combine to prove he has NFL speed to be more than a short yardage grinder.  I think ultimately Dobbins will stay pretty flat in value.  Harvey’s sinking value is a buying opportunity.  And I think Coleman is set to be over drafted ahead of other more talented players at other positions because people think that Coleman is legitimately better than Harvey and once Dobbins gets hurt he can become a workhorse for a very good offense.

While camp may bring new developments, there isn’t much more that I am expecting for this group.  It would be very shocking and against history for Coleman to reach the levels of productivity that some bullish drafters are projecting on him.  I am still interested in him as a potential handcuff to Harvey in the mid-2nd round (14 man league) and perhaps Dobbins heir apparent, but there is no question that he is being over drafted.  Example, right now on fantasypro.com their rookie rankings has him one spot ahead of Geremi Bernard.  This is pretty silly.  Here is the recent history of Steeler’s wide receivers taken in the first two days over the last decade: Roman Wilson, George Pickens, Chase Claypool, Diontae Johnson, James Washington, and JuJu Smith-Schuster.  When they take a player, not only do they typically hit but they can hit bigly.  For the record, he was the backup plan after the Eagle’s snaked Makai Lemon out from under them in the first, so they are looking to add a real piece to the offense not just add depth for the sake of doing so.  There is no reason why a day 3 running back with no clear path to touches is going above 2nd round wide receivers other than there is a imbalance in supply of runners and pass catchers and an imbalance in the internet hype.

Dynasty Theory Where does the 2027 rookie draft rank compared to other drafts?

Upvotes

I have only been playing dynasty for a couple years now so I dont have a lost of historical knowledge on other drafts, but since 2020, where is the 2027 draft ranking? Ive been paying attention since the 2024 rookie draft and although there were quite a few busts, the hype going into it was high. Where does talent pool rank?

Injury Report Attention: Chris Bell on PUP

Just a heads up for all you Degenerates who are trying to bring their rosters down to legal limits, or so you can pick up a flier, Bell should be able to go on IR in most leagues now.

I'm sure more players will follow in the coming days, but he was the only relevant player I could find so far. I'm guessing Charbs, Kittle etc follow soon, maybe Nabers :/

Player Discussion The Best VALUE Picks in the 2026 Rookie Class (Round 2)

Thumbnail

What's up guys! I created a tier list of my favorite overall VALUE picks in the second round of the 2026 rookie class. The second round in this rookie class is an absolute wasteland. From my personal experience in multiple leagues. it seems like these guys can go in wildly different orders. For this video, I based the ADP off of Dynasty Data Lab's average second round ADP from April-July (over 30,000 drafts). If you missed my breakdown post of the first round, you can check it out here.

Apologies in advance if I am slandering some of your fav rookies, remember this is just my opinion and it is based on VALUE, not necessarily talent alone! That being said, below is a synopsis of the overall tier list from the video:

S Tier (My Favorite Picks at Cost):

- Elijah Sarratt (2.07)

- De'Zhaun Stribling (2.12)

A Tier (Great Values):

- Antonio Williams (2.05)

- Zachariah Branch (2.08)

B Tier (Solid):

- Emmett Johnson (2.06)

- Carson Beck (2.09)

C Tier (I'd Rather Not):

- Jonah Coleman (2.01)

- Germie Bernard (2.04)

- Chris Bell (2.03)

- Chris Brazzell (2.10)

D Tier (Actively Avoiding at Cost):

- Nick Singleton (2.02)

- Malachi Fields (2.11)

I spend several mins on each player going through my reasoning behind these placements, so make sure to let me know if you agree or disagree!!

Player Discussion cj stroud or future qb prospects

if you have cj stroud in your dynasty league would you rather have him or some of the quarterbacks coming out of the next 2 years. for me i would probably want arch manning over him but all of the other quarterbacks im still not sure if i like them more than cj. he’s still kinda young and he does she some promise sometimes. also im not a big fan of the qbs coming out but i hear people talk very highly so im lost.

Player Discussion Thoughts on Coleman v RJ Harvey?

Is Jonah Coleman worth the pick in rookie drafts or is he just going to be in a committee with a crowded backfield? Is the thought that he is going to ultimately be the guy or will Denver just continue to draft over each RB and select a new one next year? It’s either Coleman or selecting an upside WR at this point.

Player Discussion KC Concepcion got out produced by Mario Craver in 2025 and Justin Joly in 2024. Potential red flag?

Mario Craver & KC Concepcion played in 12 games together in 2025, here are their stats in those games:

Player | Targets | Rec | Yards | TDs | YPRR | Target Rate

- KC Concepcion | 93 | 56 | 877 | 8 | 2.42 | 25.6%

- Mario Craver | 85 | 59 | 917 | 4 | 3.25 | 30.1%

Source

In 2024, Justin Joly had 200 more yards than Concepcion and a QB rating when targeted 44 points higher on the same NC State team despite them running the same amount of routes.

League Discussion Dynasty start up tips and strategy?

Alright fellas I'm just about to start my first ever dynasty league. It's 10 team Superflex start QB/2HB/3WR/2TE/SF/2FLX. 4 point passing TDs

I am picking 2nd and honestly have no idea what to do. The guy at first is grabbing Gibbs or Bijan. Do the 4 point passing TDs really make QBs that much less valuable? Should I grab the other top HB and build around him with the big drop off or do the logical SF thing and take Allen/Maye (if he decides to shift and nab Allen). Most guys in the league are new to dynasty and the ones I know are HB heavy drafting.

I assume going QB is more future proof less of them and you aren't getting multiple starters each year in the rookie drafts. HBs shelf life is shorter as well. Any tips and ideas are appreciated.

Player Discussion Matthew Golden Outlook and Realistic Projections

I wanted to make a post about Golden to see what the community thought was a realistic projection and whether that aligned with what I think. So far this sub has been filled with posts saying he has a 4th option ceiling, will never be good due to his college production, etc. I acknowledge there are real red flags but I’d like to present some arguments in favor of him being a great buy low candidate.

2025 didn’t go well for him, and I think that’s due to a few different things. Injuries were clearly a factor as he was on a snap count for 1-2 games and straight up missed 3 games which limited his production for essentially 5 games. He also had trouble with the playbook as he ran incorrect routes, had choppy breaks on intermediate routes, and straight up had to be told in the huddle or pre play where to line up by his teammates. I also think he struggled with physicality which was a big reason why he had lower YPRR in college, and it clearly limited him in the pros with tight or press coverage. These are all red flags but not damning to me. These claims have been backed up by all-22 analysis as well as Packers players and beat writers. I’d appreciate if any Packers fans could chime in here.

On the positive side, he clearly could separate against man and zone coverage and had arguably the best hands on the team. When targeted, he was very reliable and converted contested catches and first downs opportunities. He has NFL speed and hands which made him one of Love’s favorite targets in the clutch (see Bengals, Bears, Cowboys games). While Watson / Reed were out, he averaged 58.3 yards per game (playing alongside Kraft / doubs) which projects out to a 991 yard season. Obviously them being out gave him an opportunity and his role was reduced to rotational once doubs, Watson, and Reed were all healthy, but my point is that when he was featured as a starting WR (in 2 WR sets) he was productive enough to meet the standard FRP WR thresholds. To me this indicates he is at least the QUALITY of player who is capable to meet the 525 threshold when featured.

The reason I bring that projection up is he should have a prime opportunity in 2026. He should be the starting “Z” WR in 2WR sets and get plenty of run in 11P. I think he’s earned that role over Reed due to his size, speed, and man separation ability. Reed is a good player no doubt, but I’m anticipating more volume going to Golden because of Reed’s heavy slot usage. At this point Kraft and Watson are clearly better players (granted they’ve each had 3+ years of run way to get there) and the days of thinking Golden could be a WR1 are over but he could earn a valuable role as the WR2.

GB letting Doubs / Wicks go indicates that we could see targets more consolidated between Kraft - Watson - Golden but that of course remains to be seen. I think we could realistically see an 700-800 yard finish this season setting up a potential 3rd year breakout, but that relies on him building play strength, learning the playbook, and improving play speed on intermediate routes. He has an opportunity to be a viable flex this season and potentially something more in year 3.

Does anyone else agree that this is a realistic projection? To me, I think a 2026 mid-late 2nd or a 2027 3rd + some change is a pretty solid gamble. Thoughts?

Player Discussion Brandon Aiyuk: When to Drop

In Sleeper, Aiyuk is currently rostered in 93% of leagues. However, he has also exhibited many symptoms of CTE over the past few months.

There have been enough threads asking whether he will be signed, whether he will be productive, etc. My question is, for Aiyuk owners in particular: when did you drop him? If you still have him on your team, are you planning on holding him going into training camp and the preseason?

Depending on roster caps and league size, there could be several decent FAs in the waiver market that are actually signed to a team. I’m curious whether it’s worth letting him go for one of those guys at this point and gauging how other leagues have valued him with his actions this summer.

Player Discussion Talk me out of Matthew Golden

My debate with Matthew Golden isn't whether the opportunity opened up. It clearly did. The question is whether a cleared depth chart is enough to buy into when year one gave us nothing to hold on to.

The bullish case: Doubs walked to New England and Wicks got traded to Philly, which removes two of the bodies that kept him off the field as a rookie. It's been reported that the Packers are clearing the way for him to take on a bigger role in year two. He's still the highest draft capital Green Bay has invested at receiver in the entire LaFleur era, and teams don't usually give up on that after one quiet season. In the playoff loss to Chicago — the one game where he actually got volume — he went 4/84 with his first career touchdown.

I also think the rookie line gets read unfairly. From Week 9 on, he played under 50% of snaps in all but two games, so 29/361/0 on 44 targets was a snap count outcome more than a talent one. That feels like production driven by inconsistent playing time rather than poor efficiency, and the general framing from the Packers beat has been the same: he did his job when called on, he just wasn't called on.

That's where my concern comes in. Unlike a lot of buried rookies, he doesn't have a standout rate stat you can point to as proof (see Luther Burden hype train). Nothing like a big yards-per-route number that says the production is coming. And Green Bay has been a graveyard for WR fantasy production for years, which isn't something two departures automatically fix. He's still potentially behind Watson, Reed, and Kraft in the target pecking order, and LaFleur spreads it around enough that winning the vacated snaps might not translate to a target share worth rostering.

But I keep coming back to the fact that he's 22, he was a first-round pick, and the two guys ahead of him are gone. That combo usually deserves a second look.

So, talk me out of it. What am I not seeing?

Dynasty Theory Which Dynasty FF analyst have you stopped following

I've done a couple dynasty offseasons and I'm seeing a pattern of analysts strongly swaying market values. Whether its the analysts that hypes rookies (M.Kelly-playerprofiler) or the analyst that has a magic metric YPRTMBTF (yards per reverse tackle missed between the forties) that makes CMC a fade (JJ Zacharison-Late Round) or situation changes that experts claim Achane's a fade because the team he's on (Jamey Eisenberg-CBS) or the analyst that has a Bold Prediction show every other day and uses his platform to sway market values of his high exposure players in high stakes leagues (theo gremminger- rotowire) Which company/analysts have you stopped following in the last year because of lost trust/respect?

Player Discussion 2027 Summer Scouting Pt. 1.1: Series Intro + 5-for-5 impacts on 2027 Class, is Arch Manning overrated, underrated, or both? (it's both) & Darian Mensah's upside in Miami

Introducing 2027 Summer Scouting Series

32 Prospects in 4 Podcast Episodes & Posts

Part 1: https://cjfreel.substack.com/p/2027-nfl-draft-summer-scouting-pt

Additional Prospects in Pt. 1: Nate Frazier, Isaac Brown, Mark Fletcher Jr., Nick Marsh, T.J. Moore, & Trey'Dez Green

//

Summer Scouting

While there are some write-ups including similar profiles for all the players above on the free Substack, the best way to get my Summer Scouting Series is to listen to it on the podcast. The Fantasy for Real Podcast breaks down each prospect one at a time, with a specific focus on the biggest PROS and CONS for each player. These breakdowns are ranging between 6-12 minutes, and I might try to resurrect my YouTube Channel during this process but no promises yet.

A few quick notes before the players because this is the first post:

Process

The Pros & Cons on the podcast highlight both physical/traits/film & proof/performance/production depending on what is most substantial for each individual player. The final point & ranking (which is what is on this post) is heavily influenced by & often refers to those Pros & Cons.

As you can see by this post, the idea is to place players on my Summer Scouting Rankings board as we go through the process over the next few weeks.

Age Numbers

Each player's age is (Year.Month) as of Sept. 1 2027. I do this to compare historically to the last five years of Draft Data. This obviously means that if you check anyone's Age currently, they should be about 1 Year, 1-2 Month(s) Younger.

Could Five-for-Five affect the 2027 Class?

On the one hand, I don't want to overstate the importance of 5-for-5. On the other hand, it is something I don't see talked about at all yet, and it could have a pretty significant impact to compound the effect of NIL.

College Sports have made a landmark decision to change the eligibility rules to a "5-for-5" method giving each player 5 years after entering College Athletics or turning 19 YO, doing away with the redshirt system.

This has a direct and immediate impact on current college player's future earning potential: A big part of the hype for the 2027 NFL Draft Class is the early production & performance from potential highly touted early Declares. These players who have played a lot of football, in the redshirt method, would retain only 1 season of eligibility after this Season. With 5-for-5, every single early declare is now eligible for not just 2026 & 2027, but the 2028 CFB Season as well.

In effect, this is going to double the future CFB earning potential for a massive number of early declare prospects in the 2027 Prospective Class.

Aside from that fact, out of 32 Prospects in my Summer Scouting Series, only 2 -- Jayden Maiava & Trinidad Chambliss -- are out of eligibility. The other 30 prospects all retain eligibility with 5-for-5, and even some of the prospects who don't make the series -- like Duce Robinson & Eric Singleton Jr. -- are now eligible for the 2027 CFB Season when they previously would not have been before 5-for-5.

This likely will not have an impact on the higher level prospects, but it absolutely could have an impact on the depth and middle tier of the class which is highly coveted.

//

Quarterbacks Part 1

//

Arch Manning, QB, Texas

6’ 4” 226 lbs || (23.04)

Caught between two extremes. There are many who see Arch Manning as the obvious 1.01 and a clear & obvious 1st Round pick, but that position does come with significant assumptions: Progression isn’t always continuous, and regression back to early 2025 is certainly possible. Similarly, many see Manning as nothing more than a name on the back of a jersey – a legacy that Arch individually has played no part in. However, while it is true that Manning would never get the level of recognition & popularity (good & bad) he does without his last name, putting everything on just the name ignores a rare combination of traits that specifically will hold value in Fantasy Football if he becomes a starter at the NFL Level. Additionally, while improvements do need to be made, his ability to move in the pocket, step-up, and select when to run create foundational building blocks that set him apart from other mobile QBs like LaNorris Sellers.

GRADE: QB Tier 1 (QB1-2 || QB1)

//

Darian Mensah, QB, Miami (FL) via Duke

Can Mensah become a CONSISTENT high-level performer in 2027? Mensah may have enough arm talent to go in the 1st Round, but he’s in that category where performance has to matter a great deal. There were some flashes last year, but the level of consistency did not necessarily translate to a 1st Round QB. Mensah is still young with a strong possibility that the Miami situation helps to elevate him into a clear 1st Round prospect.

GRADE: QB Tier 2 (QB3-7 || QB6)

I'll likely go positionally on each post and then leave the TEs for the end, so next post will cover Nate Frazier, Isaac Brown, and Mark Fletcher Jr., but that write-up and podcast can be found here:

Austin Swaim’s risky dynasty fantasy football running back buys, including Quinshon Judkins, Zach Charbonnet, Jonathon Brooks, Jordan Mason, and DJ Giddens.

Which of these RBs are you willing to gamble on, if any? Who are some other “risky” RB buys you’re taking a stab at acquiring? Let’s hear it!

Player Discussion Does anyone use Vegas player props when evaluating dynasty players?

I'm curious if anyone incorporates Vegas player props into their dynasty evaluations.

  • Season O/U passing yards
  • Rushing yards
  • Receiving yards
  • Touchdowns
  • Receptions

For Example (DraftKings)

  • Bijan: 1,174.5 rushing yards (-110), 8.5 rushing TDs (-125), 574.5 receiving yards (-110), 3.5 receiving TDs (+100).
  • Gibbs: 1,199.5 rushing yards (-110), 12.5 rushing TDs (+100), 450.5 receiving yards (-110), 4.5 receiving TDs (+160)

My thinking is that sportsbooks have access to an incredible amount of data and have analysts whose goal is to set efficient lines. They aren't perfect, but they're probably better at projecting player outcomes than the average fantasy manager.

Or do you think these props are mostly useful for redraft and shouldn't move dynasty values much?

I'd be interested to hear if anyone has found an edge using Vegas season props when making trades, ranking players, or identifying values before the market catches up. I'm considering adding them as another data point in my process and was wondering if others have had success doing the same.

Player Discussion We tracked 22,100+ real dynasty trades this past week — here's who's getting moved, and how the board shifted from last week

Quick apology this one's a couple days late. Scott Fish Bowl live draft was this weekend along with another live draft and they completely ate my schedule. Back to your regularly scheduled roundup:

Welcome back to the weekly trade roundup! Over the last 7 days, we tracked 22,145 completed trades across 93,103 active leagues, pulling from our database of over 412,000+ leagues scanned.

Week-over-week movement

The big story: A.J. Brown vaulted to No. 1, up from No. 5 the most-moved player on the board as managers keep churning his new situation. And a familiar face is back: Bhayshul Tuten, who'd fallen out of the top 10 last week, re-entered at No. 4 as a buy-low (below market in 61% of deals). Last week's No. 1, Brian Thomas, slid to No. 3 he flipped from declining back to fair.

  • New to the top 10: Bhayshul Tuten, Jaylen Waddle, Travis Etienne
  • Dropped out from last week: Zay Flowers, Jonathon Brooks, Malik Nabers
  • Biggest repeat riser by rank: A.J. Brown jumped from No. 5 to No. 1 (+4 spots)
  • Most notable value signal: Marvin Harrison flipped from fair value to declining, now going below market in 64% of trades a fresh buy-low

Top 10 Most Traded — Last 7 Days

Market Value = each player's current Superflex consensus value on our rankings page. It's the number we score every trade against.

Rank Player POS Trades Market Value Value Trend
1 A.J. Brown WR 395 6,049 ➡️ Fair Value — going above market price in 50% of trades
2 David Montgomery RB 394 4,023 ➡️ Fair Value — going above market price in 42% of trades
3 Brian Thomas WR 378 5,321 ➡️ Fair Value — going above market price in 45% of trades
4 Bhayshul Tuten RB 378 4,620 📉 Declining — going below market price in 61% of trades
5 Bucky Irving RB 376 5,269 ➡️ Fair Value — going above market price in 43% of trades
6 Rome Odunze WR 373 5,639 📉 Declining — going below market price in 65% of trades
7 Marvin Harrison WR 373 5,641 📉 Declining — going below market price in 64% of trades
8 Jaylen Waddle WR 366 4,887 ➡️ Fair Value — going above market price in 47% of trades
9 Ladd McConkey WR 357 5,974 ➡️ Fair Value — going above market price in 46% of trades
10 Travis Etienne RB 344 5,211 ➡️ Fair Value — going above market price in 45% of trades

Zoom out and it's a more backfield-heavy board than usual four RBs cracked the top 10 (David Montgomery, Bhayshul Tuten, Bucky Irving, Travis Etienne). The buy-low action is concentrated in three names all going below market: Bhayshul Tuten (61%), Rome Odunze (65%), and Marvin Harrison (64%). Everyone else is trading right around fair value.

How to read Value Trend: We score every trade to determine if the acquiring manager paid above or below market value. The % always reflects each player's dominant trend — "below market" for buy-low names, "above market" for the rest so you can decide whether to buy low or sell high depending on the player and their situation.

What is Market Value? Market value is determined by a proprietary algorithm which combines thousands of crowd-sourced player voting with real-time trade database tracking to establish the current community consensus price for every player and draft pick.
