We are "The Critical Failures" and hope to air our stuff next year in a new campaign, but as of now we've spent the last 2.5 years adding new players and saving the world of Nirn (essentially playing ES6 in homebrew form lol). But it was finally time that we all got a commemorative tattoo... so as the DM I went first!

I wanted a dice shelf to display my favourite dice! It's my first ever time building anything with cardboard and it was really fun - I'm not happy with the waterfall and will do it differently next time/if I remake this one, but for a first ever time I think it's okay :) you can definitely tell what class I play (sword not included hahaha that's just atmospheric) 🌻

Hi All,
So ive never played dungeons and dragons before. But my kids (M6 and M7) love games and i thought it might be something fun to learn and play together.
I was wondering if there's resources anyone could point me to about versions(?) of the game that would be beginner friendly for me to learn to be a dungeon master and simple enough for kids my sons' ages?

I am shocked on the condition of it for the price I paid. Had to share it.

Could anyone help me identify these two sets of Dungeons & Dragons dice? The first set is in a yellowed moulded plastic shell, with a white crayon and is missing one of the dice, well used.
The second appears to be factory sealed in a plastic bag, 3 light blue, 2 dark blue and one green.
Could anyone help ID them?

Location: 11th St NW & Hampton St NW, Atlanta GA
While cleaning up a pile of trash dumped on Hampton St NW in Atlanta GA in front of the Catalyst apartments this morning, I found this 5th Edition Dungeon Master's guide. A neighbor told me it's the new version and I can tell someone was actively using this. I would love to return it.
DM me if it's yours - for authentication, please tell me A) what's inside the front cover & / | B) exactly what pages some of those tabs mark

Welcome to my dungeon! Relax, take a seat, but beware the mighty fluffy guardian of the lair known as Kevin. Give him pets, and ye may be allowed to game safely.
This room is my litteral happy place. It is the first room that you see when you enter my home, and a place where many people have had their first encounters with D&D. Growing up, I never had a safe place to be a nerd. Indulging in concepts like high fantasy was seen as weakness by my peers which often lead to bullying, harassment, and shame. I'm happy to say that I now live is a proud nerd. I have created a safe space for many of my friends to indulge in this game that we love.

Got the paper clip idea off of pinterest and I thought of the clear plastic battle grid so I can place it over printed backgrounds.

Hi, my son is having some friends over for a games night that I'm helping with. Full disclosure it's axtually hero quest not DnD but mechanics aren't the issue - I'm looking for classic riddles that work for kids and fit in a fantasy setting. He knows the hobbit ones and the classic guard who lies and guard who tells the truth - the latter in particular is the sort of thing I'd definitely use if he didn't already know it!
Interested in classic riddles but also those soft of logic puzzles and things like you used to get in old fighting fantasy books (I am seven years older than my brother but in 3 years I will be twice as old as he is, how old am I etc)

So for one of my Homebrew campaigns, I haven't started yet but the thought crossed my mind. One of the early antagonists is a Rock Star tiefling bard, she uses her performances to enrapture and charm her fans because she's secretly a succubus, but I'm just trying to think how do I describe/roleplay a concert?

Welcome back to Advent's Amazing Advice! The series where I take popular One-Shots, Adventures, Campaigns, etc., and fully prep them for both New and Busy DMs. This prep includes music, ambiance, encounter sheets, handouts, battle maps, tweaks, and more, so you can run the best sessions possible with the least stress possible!
*New 2026: For 2026, I'm updating all my old work to include a Pre-Session Checklist that will include a list of all miniatures you may need, maps, handouts, possible loot, a link to a playlist, and more to make it even easier to start your session!
The Mountain's Toe Gold Mine has been suffering productivity problems as of late. You've been tasked with escorting a new overseer there. It's a rather simple job that pays well and could certainly be left at that...if your players are none too heroic, but something tells me they crave a bit more, a cave to explore, a mystery to be solved. Should your players be brave enough, they will discover a cave overrun by the Whiskered Gang, a group of wererats who declared this their new home. It will be up to your players to save the miners within. Perhaps they can negotiate and find themselves on an interesting side quest, or maybe they'll choose to eradicate those varmints...only time will tell...
Without further ado:
Included in The AAA Collection is:
Index:
Dragons of Icespire Peak:
Over 8 dozen other Fully Prepped One-Shots, Adventures, and Campaigns: Click Here
As always, if you see something you think I can improve, add, change, etc., please let me know. I want this to be an amazing resource for all DMs and plan to keep it constantly updated! If you'd like to support me, shape future releases, and get content early, feel free to check out my Patreon!
Cheers,
Advent

At the moment, I'm relatively new to DnD. I've played it a few times over the years and I really enjoy it, but the biggest problem is finding the right people to play with.
I tried playing on Discord one time and it wasn't something I liked... I definitely prefer in-person. I tried contacting my local library but they never got back to me.
How did you guys form the groups that you play in now? Thanks.

Weapon (Scythe, Dual Sickles) – Very Rare (24,500 gp, requires attunement)
This dark purple +2 scythe has wavy purple lines ingraved into the blade heads, with purple and pink clouds of dark energy coming of the back of the heads.
Attacks with this scythe do an additional 1d6 necrotic damage.
While attuned to this scythe: as an action, you can separate the scythe into a pair of +2 sickles that also do an additional 1d6 necrotic damage, or combine the sickles back into a scythe; you gain the ability to step from one shadow into another, so when you are in dim light or darkness, as a bonus action you can teleport up to 30 feet to an unoccupied space you can see that is also in dim light or darkness; and once per day, you can cast Maddening Darkness, DC 17.
This creature was created as a Tier Reward for Patron Dalton Byrne! Thank you for your support!

Joltin Forest, a mystical forest I sketched!
Joltin Forest is a magical region that serves as a powerful source of energy for magic users. Its power originates from Joltin, a Chosen whose influence still lingers.
Even though only one Chosen can exist at a time, the forest continues to thrive despite Joltin’s disappearance. This suggests that the power left behind is either self-sustaining or waiting for something to return.
What do you think? :)
