Help for choosing my first drum machine
Hey everyone!!
I've been lurking around this subreddit for quite some time now because for the last two years I haven't been able to decide which drum machine to buy. Maybe even more than two years lol.
I still can't decide, but at least I've eliminated some of them haha.
The music that I'm making, and the kind that I want to make is something similar to Molly Nilsson, John Maus, De Ambassade, Automatic, Bragolin, She Past Away, Twin Tribes, etc. So it's a mixture of synthwave, synthpop, and darkwave, but honestly I think one machine would cover all of it perfectly.
For now I'm using Ableton's drums, but I really want to have hardware gear and be able to play live with it!
So if anyone can help me decide between:
Alesis SR-16
Alesis SR-18
Roland TR-707
Roland TR-6S
I'd be happy with something simple and intuitive, honestly. It doesn't have to be the sickest beat maker ever, so I'm somehow leaning toward the Alesis, but I'm open to suggestions!
Thanks to all of you in advance :)

I Just bought TR-08 for my Guitar
gallerySound Demo
I bought a TR-08 to replace using garage band drummers and my drum pedal. It’s not the same, but honestly it sounds sooo good. The TR-08 has that thump we all love. I’m sorry I didn’t use a cowbell, but I really do want to find a more organic drum sounds. Moving away from generated drum tracks to trying to program my own drum ideas has been difficult, but fun.
I’ve figured out how to do that double bass pedal thing using sub steps. I hope it sounds better after I learn more about it. Next time I use my space cowbell.
Shin Ei Super Fuzz, Dark Terror into a Powerhouse Attenuator, and TwoNote Opus (Cab Sim only). TR-08 goes into Aux input of Micro Terror, for amplified use. Palmer Merger Box, used to chain 2 mini cabs. PC112/mic aren’t being used right now, would need to flip switch on attenuator.
Give me some tips, ideas, or tell me it sucks.

Dave "Jam" Hall snare sound
Does anyone know what drum machine the snare on Human Nature by Madonna (layered with the sample) and Slipping Away by Mariah Carey is from? Both songs are produced by Dave "Jam" Hall, it might be present on other songs produced by him but I'm not sure.
