Okay this sounds insane but I remember a datable dad character in this game that does not exist, and I had a recollection of this man for 10 years since the game came out.

I wasn't too in the game until now due to me being a kid when it came out and I just now went back to it, (a lot of my siblings watched people play it but I didn't really pay attention)

but I remembered like a whole character with a whole story, and like a whole kid and a whole personality that you went though the dates of like in the game how you do the other characters, and he had a whole arc, a pet, a kid (if y'all want art on what he looks like and further depth I'll edit this) but like it just shocked me he wasn't there and I wanna ask if that's happened to anyone else.

There are a lot of visual novels out there now, but I still find myself thinking about Dream Daddy every once in a while. I can't even point to one specific reason—it just has a really comfortable vibe that makes it easy to revisit.

Maybe it's the humor, maybe it's the soundtrack, or maybe it's just how relaxed the whole game feels compared to a lot of other story-driven games.

For those of you who've replayed it more than once, what keeps bringing you back? Is it a specific character, trying different routes, or just the overall atmosphere of the game?

I'd love to know what makes it stand out for you even after all this time.

One thing I love about Dream Daddy is that it's full of little details that are easy to miss during a first playthrough. Whether it's background dialogue, callbacks to earlier conversations, or tiny jokes hidden in certain scenes, it feels like the game rewards you for paying attention.

After replaying it, I noticed several things I completely overlooked the first time around, and it honestly made me appreciate the writing even more.

I’ve been scouring the internet for any charms/keychains/prints/buttons/etc of the characters but I’ve only found a few buttons on Etsy. Do you guys know of any artists that make dream daddy merch?

Some of them were pretty hard to recreate. I’m certainly not an artist, but I’m happy with how they ended up looking. I can’t wait to see which ones fall in love lol (I’m rooting for Mat and Hugo). What catchphrases do you think could fit to every character?

I just recently started playing dream daddy yesterday because I was bored and wanted to give a new shot to a dating sim. Although im currently stuck on a problem of "No Internet" it hasn´t been a problem since the game is working currently, but I only have two cellphones and I don't know if that affects the gamemability because we can't go to dates without any tokens, can somebody help me?

And I don´t want to restart, im currently playing on a MacBook

I played about an hour of the game before I ran into this issue. I'm ready to request a steam refund but thought I'd ask here first if anyone knows what I can do.

When I boot up the game (playing on a mac laptop) and try to continue from my last save (which I know I have the files for, I can see them in finder) the load box is empty and gray. Has anyone encountered this and was able to troubleshoot?

No offense meant to those who liked the daddies I don't like as much.

My reasoning for Joseph is many. Firstly, in a personal subjective way, he's not my type and I'm not religious and I'm not comfortable with his relationship with religion. I'm not including the silly cult ending.

Secondly, I don't like the way he treats Mary (nor do I like how she treats him) and how he treats us. He talks about Margaritaville as a place to escape his responsibilities, it feels like he's using us (and Robert that one time) to avoid the harder aspects of his life. He's a mess, basically, and our dadsona deserves better than that.

Also, I was soooo close to also putting Damien in the Best Daddy category, my only turn off really was the bugs taxidermy xD he's lovely though

tbh I only stayed in the dd fandom cus of the cult ending, even though it’s not canon it lowk made the game more enjoyable for me.

yeah I read about how the cult ending is kind of a negative to Joesph’s character & the game‘s story but I like the idea of -idk how to explain it- a cult based on feeding off of sexual immorality?? Best example of how I envision the cult would probably be the game Horses. Though I’m not the greatest when it comes to literacy, memory & writing.

Ive only recently started to actually interact with the fandom so im interested to hear about other Cult ending HCs ( ´ ▽ ` )ﾉ..

I started playing the game last night. Really liking it. When I opened it today, I can’t progress at all with anyone. I also get an error message saying I’m not connected to the Internet. Definitely am but I checked everything just in case. I tried playing using cell data only with wifi turned off, wifi only with data turned off. Checked the app settings to make sure it has permission to use data and wifi. Tried turning it off and back on. I can open the app and it opens at my last save but everything I click still gives me an error message. Do I have to uninstall and start over??? The story was getting good and I played for like three hours. I don’t wanna start over! What is Amanda’s deal?! Why is Ginger Bear Dad so competitive? Why is Church Dad’s Wife such a hateful, angry drunk? Why is Teacher Dad’s son such a delinquent? Questions… all I have are unanswered questions.

In the plotline with Amanda, the last scene i get before i go on a third date with any of the dads is her telling me her friendgroup tea/drama, but at her graduation party she says that she's going with the Emma's to get ice cream, is there a scene where that gets resolved that i missed or .. ?
