I'm sure some or many know about the fan theory where the founders of Hogwarts are the Pevensie children in Narnia. (ie. Peter - Gryffindor, Edmund - Slytherin, Lucy - Hufflepuff, Susan - Ravenclaw). Specifically there's a very niche (?) group who entertains the idea of Edmund and Hermione as a couple. I ship characters purely based on vibes and aesthetics and although Dramione is my one true pairing, I would love for Edmund to get in the mix, maybe an epic time travel fic where our couple goes back in time and meet the founder or vice versa Edmund travels to future time.

I believe that there's practically nothing like this, yet, except for a fic on fanfiction called When Two Worlds Collide by WickedlyAwesomeMe.

Having said this, I implore the great minds and talented pens of our community to delve into what I might say a most fascinating concept.

I have a chaotic life and haven't been able to commit to anything too long for a really long while now, and I'm missing that feeling of going on a big story journey. So, I'm looking for stories that are shorter (as a rough ballpark, I'd say topping out at around 50k but there's a bit of leeway there) but the writer manages to fit so much in that you get to the end and think 'Holy cow! How is this fic only X words?'

No preferences for genre or rating, but I'd love if you could tell me *why* you love the rec.

I've read so many fics now where Draco is the one pining, being jealous, possessive or otherwise hung up on Hermione. Now I'm looking for any fics where Hermione is the one in this role instead.

I'd also love recs where Draco decides to actually move on instead of just pining away when Hermione dates someone else (or even just goes on a date), is in a relationship, appears uninterested or for some other reason.

Any tips would be greatly appreciated!

I saw a post here where someone asked for soft Hermione that Draco can’t help but fall for and it had all these amazing recs… it got me thinking, is there a version of the opposite to all the recs that were given?
Like where Hermione is this mafia don/severe/untouchable person and Draco is soft and quiet and she can’t help but fall for him?

I'm remembering a fic where Hermione goes with Draco to death eater revels/parties--I am pretty sure she is either in disguise or as herself but pretending to be his prisoner. Snape may have recognized her though. I believe Draco just walks her through the party and makes her watch everything. I don't think they have a lot of direct interactions with people but I could be wrong, I don't remember the scenes being particularly dialogue heavy, they mostly did a lot of watching.

I believe there were prisoner fights, prostitutes, and the party was pretty awful. I want to say there may have been potions/drug use. I feel like it was a longer fic and there would have been multiple parties/revels that they attended. I do not believe Hermione was ever seriously harmed but they may have performed or kept up appearances.

I do not think it is The Auction, Columba and Aquila, Crumple...

I'm also hoping that this isnt a Snamione fic where Draco just played a key role but I don't think it is.

I’m in desperate need of a long (or at least semi-long) fic with a Manacled-style Draco. I want him to have a dangerous vibe, and I don’t want Harry and Ron to immediately accept or trust him.

I’ve already read most of the popular fics, and I haven’t found anything that scratches this specific itch in well over a year.

I think I remember a scene where D/Hr are sitting at his house and she finds out that Pansy and Blaise/Theo are sitting in their car outside his house because they can’t believe D/Hr are studying together (or maybe she finds out when they come inside)? She storms out and when he goes to her house to beg for forgiveness over the misunderstanding, her (possibly mentally ill) dad opens the door and is super mad at him and her for the ruckus he created.

It might have been a text fic? I wish I remembered more of it.

If there is a story it needs a hero and a little antagonist(Draco) but I need a story where draco is decisive,calm and clever and hungry for power(not like ministerial positions but like an elder wand).

Any fics where draco sorted into gryffindor and become friends with Hermione at 1st year and gradually turn into love and must definitely attend yule ball together (not seen a single dramione where they attend the ball together) and like it if it were lengthy. Already read lionheart.

I am sure this is a well-known one and I haven't bookmarked correctly -- Hermione works for the DMLE or Ministry? But lives in a remote area and likes to run trails, or run around a lake, and she's stalked or ambushed by Greyback? Maybe? It's a longer, more serious story. tia!

I’m a big fan of a mid-burn, I need to see the feelings developing and I’m thrown off when they immediately feel a connection/things develop too quickly.

On the other hand, I don’t wait to wait until 75% for something to happen 😂

I find that the best trope to avoid this is friends to lovers (one good example of a friends to lovers mid-burn for me is Thanks to the Photographs).

Hey swots. In dire need of a pick me up. I’ve come home from the doctor with a cancer scare (they are running labs and said if it is malignant, we caught it early so grateful for that)

This news, while l know is not as bad as it could be, has left me a bit unsettled. Please give me some fluff, angst allowed but looking for something that’s resolved within like 25-30k words so I can have some peace today.
