How easy is it to pick up other merchandise shifts at other locations or swap shifts if need be??

Hi! I found out I’ll be in attractions for my program. I know that the itinerary has your role listed on it- will that have my specific ride, or do I have to wait for the training schedule 1-2 days before my program to find out?

so i’m going to be at satu’li canteen in animal kingdom! how likely would it be for me to get later shifts after 12 pm since the park closes early?

i have an online class that ends at 11:50 am so im wondering if it’ll be possible to take it.

also is it easy to trade qsr shifts (for other parks too)?

Hey guys!! As the title suggests, I got my role today and I got outdoor vending at Hollywood Studios! It wasn’t one of my top choices, but I have years of experience with food service so i’m feeling chill about it.

I know it’s the popcorn and snack carts around the park, but does anyone have any insight on how the job itself is, leadership, etc? Any tips or insight appreciated!

i officially got my role today and im going to be concierge at art of animation! i’ve heard some rumblings that cp’s typically get closing shift at resorts, but what does the exactly mean (what hours can i expect to work roughly)? will i be working overnight, really late at night, day shifts? any advice would be great!!

There’s a chance I will be moved to a private room, but for many reasons i really can’t share a bedroom. I was hoping that if i can’t be moved, that i can just sign a lease for an apartment complex near flamingo crossings. I’ve found a few places that would be great, but i was wondering if there were any other DCP people wanting to find a roommate to split the rent somewhere. (I know this is very late, i was given the wrong info about stuff previously 😔)

Anyone know the date applications go live for the DCP Spring 2027 program? Only have seen estimates of mid-late August, but just curious if anyone has a definitive date yet for when they open up.

Im an Aug 10th arrival and I will be staying in building 2 of FCV east side. I am wondering if the rooms come with desks or if there is enough space to put one in on my side of the room? I will still be taking classes this semester and i would like a place to set up my PC and be able to complete my assignments. I dont have a laptop and i would prefer not to have to buy one, especially since I have a nice PC that I can use.

When can August 24th arrivals expect to get their roles? I know August 17th got there last week on Wednesday or Thursday, so should we expect the same?

Is traditions still half inside half tour of magic kingdom? I’m looking at my dress options and know it will be cold inside, but don’t want to get a long sleeve dress if I have to tour the park.

How long does it take for disney to get back to you about medical accommodations? I sent mine in to the email they gave me on July 10th and have not received anything back about it. Today when I looked at my itinerary, I noticed my role does not honor the accommodations I sent in. I just sent them a ticket about it. How worried should I be bc I do NOT want to start my program off with an unsafe job.

Hey everyone! I have a shift over at Port Orleans Riverside soon and I was wondering if costuming is closed certain days? And what hour does it close? Just want to make sure to plan accordingly!

I’m an 8/10 arrival, and my role will be a park greeter in MK, I have a bunch of questions lol.

I saw someone talking about bringing a backpack and lunch box, and in their comments someone mentioned their break room being like 20 mins walk from base, so how far would the break room be for a MK greeter? Should I bring a backpack and lunch box as well? Extra clothes/costume? Is a black poncho okay or does it have to be clear or something?

Am I only allowed to work as a park greeter at MK or can I pick up shifts to greet at other parks? I was thinking maybe not because of costuming but I was a bit hopeful. I would like to work closer to 40 hours a week, will this be possible? What are my chances of overtime? How easy (or hard) is it to pick up shifts? What do the hours look like? (Like times of the morning, midday, and night shifts, how late or early could I be working? When’s the earliest I could clock in? What do you consider is the “best” shift to work?)

I tend to get stir crazy standing in one spot for too long, so would I be able to move around during my shift or they expect me to be completely planted in one spot the whole time? (In my previous jobs, I was known to be a “runner”, so if people needed things from somewhere else in the building or on campus I’d be the person to go get it/handle it. I love an extra task lol. So I don’t mind being on my feet, it’s just not being able to move around that gets me).

Any advice on how to make the most of this role? Anything you wish you knew before you started? Or what you would do differently if you had the chance?
