This is our family’s first time going to Oogie boogie bash and are first time with our autistic son outside of a stroller. Just looking for the best places to let him decompress and recover for a little bit.

This is not a post asking about DAS! If you want to share your experience with it, I welcome it. However, this post is a request for information/experiences/etiquette outside of DAS and in the parks at large.

I have an upcoming trip to Disneyland with a friend of mine who is a wheelchair user. This will be her first trip to DL as a wheelchair user and my first trip with someone using any mobility aids in the park.

I expect I will be pushing her and guiding the experience as she is retired and unfamiliar with Disneyland. She relies on me often when we go on trips together to manage our schedule, technology, and then some.

I’m happy to be that person, however, in this case, I’m feeling underprepared. I was hoping members of this community could offer tips/advice on making sure she has a memorable and happy trip! I’m unfamiliar with chair etiquette in the parks. I want to be respectful of her and others.

Potentially helpful info: She can stand on her own and walk for about 50-60 paces. Standing for long periods isn’t an option. She has a hard time in the heat (anything over 85 is tough for her).

Any and all advice is welcome or even sharing experiences in the park as a wheelchair user or as their companion.

I’m specifically concerned about:

-Navigating the parks while pushing someone in a chair through crowds

-Best routes or places to avoid with a chair. How to identify places we can park the wheel chair if she wants to walk a little (like while shopping or using the restroom)

-Loading/unloading from rides. How can I support a smooth process?

-Etiquette, as mentioned earlier. Both as a park goer and as someone accompanying her (this is our first trip in general with her in a chair). I want to be a welcomed guest in the parks and don’t want to offend or inconvenience anyone due to my lack of knowledge/experience.

-Anything else! I don’t know what I don’t know. So if by reading this post you can tell I’m absolutely missing something, please tell me!

We will be doing one day in DL and one day in DCA.

When do we typically learn all the items for the festival? One month away! Anyone excited?

Hello! I have booked a plan to visit California with my girlfriend in September. We're mainly going for Universal Studios HHN and since we're going for 2 and a half weeks, we're considering adding Disneyland to the itinerary to add some additional stuff to do. I've never been to Disneyland and she's been before. There is a deal going on to where you get Lightning Lane for only 40 ish bucks extra on top of the regular 1 day admission. Yes, we're only going for a single day. Based on reading what both parks include, either option seems like a good option. I assume majority of you guys here have already been to Disney so I want to hear your guys stories about Disneyland and what you guys prefer. In all honesty, we would be happy with either park. My girlfriend has never been to the California Adventure park, but has been to the regular Disneyland Park. Which park would you guys recommend for us to visit?

Additional notes to take into account:
- We'll both be 25 by September
- We love food but don't drink alcohol
- Both parks contain theming we're familiar with and are fans of
- My girlfriend has been to the regular park already and I've never been to either.
- We are going for specifically 1 day with the Lightning Lane addon deal we have
- We plan to most likely stay at the park from opening to closing to 'get our moneys worth' (3 meals will be had there)
- Finances aren't an issue so more pricey meals or merchandise won't necessarily break the bank.

All suggestions are greatly appreciated and we will be taking into account everyone's experience or suggestions! Please feel free to drop must do's at whatever park you suggest as we are very open to trying things, thank you all in advance!

I haven’t been to Disneyland since I was 16 (30 now) so it’s been awhile!

Taking our family in October with our college friends. Our group is (2 - 1 yr old babies, 3 yr old, 5 yr old, 6 yr old) and 5 adults.

We are flying in on a Friday.

Park day - Saturday
Oogie boogie bash - Sunday
Park day - Monday

Leave Tuesday.

I’m debating on having both park days (Saturday and Monday) be Disneyland, since the Halloween party is in DCA and will usually have shorter lines?

I already bought our park tickets and didn’t add the park hopper option, (kinda regretting that I should’ve) ??

For my sons 2nd bday i want to suprise him were going on a cruise next October. Obviously itinerary aren't out yet and he won't really understand but looking for some fun ideas?

I recently put in a request at DVC rental store for a Polynesian preferred studio in early February, there looks to be availability still so they released it to members or whatever the process is.

It has now been about 2.5 days with no update which I know isn't a crazy wait. But as availability for my dates is pretty limited I'm curious at what point should I try to request something different or try David's Vacation Club?

I don't want to be on the hook for 2 different reservations or anything but I do have other resort options or split stays I could try.

Anyway really any advice on this process would be greatly appreciated. I'm unsure what makes these things attractive or unattractive to the DVC members that book them.

hi all! i'm still planning a trip for me and my boyfriend to visit the parks in november and i'm realizing that we may be able to add an extra day! we had planned on just doing 1 day in each park but i'm thinking about adding a 2nd day in either disneyland or dca.

i'm basically just looking for recommendations for which park i should visit for that 2nd day! we're skipping the park hopper but definitely doing lightning lane. this will be my 4th visit (but i haven't been for 8 years) and my boyfriend's first visit! :)

When you park your strollers for rides are you leaning anything in them or bringing everything in line? I had plans to pack a cooler bag and store in the bottom of stroller but didn’t think about logistics lol

I’ve been learning Codex and using it to build a Walt Disney World dashboard that brings live wait times, weather, news, maps, and Disney YouTube channels into one place.

It’s still an early version. I’m also thinking about adding Disneyland and possibly a way for people in the parks to submit live updates about things like ride downtime, transportation delays, unusually short lines, or other useful observations.

Going first week in February and getting a jump on planning multi pass/deciding if we need want premier.

I’ve never done lightning lane before and I’ve heard it can be slightly annoying to schedule.

For the last deciding between Slinky Dog Dash / Smugglers run. Which typically has the longer wait times? This will be first week of February.

Also, is it necessary for the Indiana Jones show?

This is kind of a dumb question, but I just got my Magic Key a couple weeks ago and will be going for the first time this upcoming Wednesday. How do you park in the parking area and get the discount? Is there something specific I have to show?

Thank you all for great advice on my last post. We have some concerns regarding the heat in Anaheim this time a year.

We are planning a 3 day visit August 1st-4th with two adults and children aged 1, 4 and 7. We are from Norway, so not used to extreme heat, but we’ve had around 75 degree weather here in the last few weeks.

We are planning ahead with fans, midday breaks at the hotel, lightning lane, hats, cooling towels, water etc.

Do you guys think it will be fine?

My family and I have decided last minute to join the larger family on a trip to Disneyland. It’s NEXT WEEK, and I haven’t been to de la since I was a child . I would really appreciate advice on our stroller situation. As I mentioned in the title, I have a four month old and a five-year-old and I’m not sure what to do. I’m sure I’m going to baby wear my baby most of the day, but it would be nice to have the bassinet stroller to put her down from time to time and give myself a break. We then have a situation of our five year-old .it seems crazy to take 2 strollers, and my baby is too small for a double style one, she can’t sit up yet. What about one of those little platforms to go on the back of our bassinet stroller that my 5 year old could stand on ? What do people do with this age spread? I also kind of wonder if I’ll even use the bassinet that much, and if I should just have a stroller for my son.

Other important info: there will be various cousins and such under 7 in our group, and they all plan on renting Disney strollers. I can’t imagine every kid is going to want to be in a stroller at once, so maybe we borrow?

Hey everyone! We’re heading to Orlando in about a month with 10 of us, staying 7 days, and want to split time between Disney and Universal. This is a big family trip and I want to make it as smooth, affordable, and magical as possible for everyone.

A few things I could really use advice on:

**•   Accessibility**: One of our group uses a wheelchair. What’s the best way to set up Disney’s DAS or wheelchair accommodations, and does Universal have something similar? Any tips for making the parks as comfortable as possible for a non-ambulatory guest?

**•   Which parks**: With 7 days total, how would you split time between the 4 Disney parks and Universal’s 2-3 parks (including Epic Universe)? Any must-do vs. skippable parks for a first big group trip?

**•   Itinerary**: With a group of 10, would you recommend splitting into smaller groups for rides, or is there a way to keep everyone together most of the day?

**•   Budget**: Any tips on saving money for a group this size — pass bundles/discounts, off-site vs on-site hotels, cheaper days to visit, cutting food costs, avoiding hidden costs? Worth it to get multi-day/multi-park passes vs. single park?

**•   Pass planning**: Any tips on finalizing park passes and Lightning Lane a month out, or is that too late for certain deals?

I am sure this has been asked a bunch of times but I dont go to Disney often. We are two adults who are doing some studio tours along with the Universal VIP tour. Now we have two days and figured we would jump to Disneyland. Its Friday Nov 6 and Nov 7. I will get a two day park hopper ticket but do I need lightning lanes as well? Im not even sure how to use it. Any help would be appreciated!

Question. Does anyone know when the coco ride is projected to be finished? I am planning at trip 2027 and am interested if there has been any conversation about an opening date

Tomorrow is our 60-day window to book dining and for Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique. I just learned there is a credit card hold even with a dining plan for Royal Table and a hold also for BBB. What kind of hold is this and how much does it need to be? TIA!

Is oogie boogie disneyland after dark event worth it? Me and my gf like going to the after dark events for less crowds and to avoid the heat. We went to sweet heart night and had a lot of fun. But I noticed that oogie boogie ends at 11pm rather than 1am.

Has anyone here attended? Did you like it? Any recommendations? 🤔
