Fanmade I could never find a Deckbox I liked for Numemon, so I designed one!

I was never a fan of generic Deckboxes for stuff I really liked, so I caved in and just designed my own Numemon Deckbox and had it made on etsy (Thanks to SpeedSellCo on etsy).

It turned out exactly how I wanted, with some major inspiration from the Kenji Watanabe Numemon V-Pet.

Every color splat on the box was hand picked from collections of stock Ink splatter images which I then recolored and positioned.

The sprites took a surprising amount of effort to gather.

Numemon, Monzaemon, and ShinMonzaemon are ripped from Digital Monster COLOR, and WaruMonzaemon is from Digimon Pendulum COLOR.

GoldNumemon, PlatinumNumemon, ShellNumemon, BlackKingNumemon, and Geremon are sprites from Time Stranger's Crystallization debuff.

Numemon X and Monzaemon X never appeared in any colored spritework, so I took their Monochrome Sprites from Digital Monster X and hand colored them pixel by pixel.

I can't understate how happy I am with how it turned out!

How many old Titans cards do you think you'll still use after Plutomon and its evolution line are released

Will you still use cards like Fugamon, Ogremon or Hyogamon?

Deckbuilding: Casual Should I be careful about following Digituber decklists?

Because I've been having trouble building it, I wanted to try and use AVAULTs Adventure video as a template, but I can never tell how good a person is for deckbuilding which has me hesitate trying this.

Sorry if this reads poorly, I can't think of the best way to properly explain it other than the title.

Deckbuilding: Casual Shakamon with the new stuff

What's the best way to build a Shakamon deck using the new cards and the whole Security- to Security+ mechanic?

Before anyone comments, I KNOW it’s simply better to build a pure SW deck or wait for a new Shakamon. But if I really needed to (and I do, because I’m in a themed tournament) I'd like to know if any of you have tested this and what your experience was like.

I just threw some SW Slop together in there and I can already spot things that wouldn't work very well. Like Ashino given there are only two Level 6s to evolve into.

Ruling Question "When digivolving" "when attacking" [Once per turn] what does that mean?

Thumbnail
gallery
2 Upvotes

Does that mean I use the effect one time when I digivolve, then again one time when I attack during the same turn?

Does that mean I'm must use the effect when I digivolve, but I can't use it anymore when I attack during the same turn?

Does that mean I must choose between using the effect when I digivolve or using it when I attack, but not both during the same turn?

I'm lost. Thanks.

Question: ANSWERED Ruling question regarding locals situation and this egg

Amaterasumon when digivolving to delete me during amaterasumons turn. in which my interruptive effect of kapurimon would proc since “when would”. Would the DP reducing effect of amaterasumon activate before or after the digivolving affect?

In any regard if I DNA with the egg effect in a different situation on my opponents turn, would I get the on play affect after DNA’ing if my opponent has a pending affect? Or does turn based player effect go first?

New Player Help Mid-range Control Decks

Looking for suggestions on mid-range control decks that I can try out. I have recently been playing Sakuyamon and have been really enjoying that so if the suggestions have a similar vibe to that, that would be great! In general, I seem to enjoy decks that are mid-range or control with decent amounts of removal and some defensive effects to protect against some forms of removal (if they have grind game/ability to somewhat comeback from removal that's also a plus).

If you play other TCGs, I quite liked bystial control in yu-gi-oh (sadly it's feeling pretty unplayable now).

The deck will mainly be for locals play or with friends, so doesn't need to be super competitive but would rather it be a "decent" deck. Also preferably nothing crazy expensive but happy to hear out the suggestions even if they are on the pricier side. Thanks for the help!

Discussion No new MarineChamairamon

It is a crime that this digimon only has the one card and doesn’t have a Kimeramon like card with digixros or assembly, heck at least give us it as a fusion for DS trait. It’s a shame that it’s not present in the composite deck either. Maybe with Beatbreak it will get some love but i am not a fan of the facedown card mechanics.

Recommendations Noob curious about breaking into Digimon TCG

**TLDR:** Burnt-out Pokémon collector who grew up with Digimon just realised the Digimon TCG is affordable and in stock locally. Looking for advice on how hard it is to learn, which creators to follow, how set releases and rotation work, and which recent set to start with.

Hello everyone,

Some context first: I'm 31, from Eastern Europe, and I was lucky enough to catch the golden age of Pokémon, Digimon, Shaman King, Duel Masters and the rest as they started trickling into Europe around 2000. I like TCGs too, though the only ones I actually know how to play are Yu-Gi-Oh! and Duel Masters. And I'm a collector at heart, Funkos, plushies, cards, the works.

As most of you know, the TCG space is completely wild with Pokémon right now, and I'll be honest: I'm feeling the fatigue. Refreshing pages for preorders, haggling over trades, chasing singles, the whole "crypto-type fever" that seems to have taken over the hobby — it's worn me down.

I recently started rewatching Digimon and I'm having a blast. While browsing a few dedicated TCG shops in my country, I noticed they had Digimon booster boxes just sitting in stock. That's when it hit me: this game is right here, it's cheaper, and it looks gorgeous. Why have I skipped it for so long?

And this is where I got a bit lost. There isn't nearly as much content around the Digimon TCG as there is for other games, and as far as I can tell there isn't a huge online community talking about it either. So I figured I'd come to Reddit and ask a few questions:

  1. Is the game really that complex and hard to learn? Is it interesting enough to be worth building a deck and playing against others? (There are local tournaments in my city, so I'd actually have a chance to play if I got into it.)

  2. Besides AVAULT, are there other creators worth following?

  3. How often do sets come out, and how long before a set rotates out of legal play?

  4. Are some sets more beginner-friendly than others? And are pull rates seeded to any extent?

  5. Which set would you recommend for someone chasing good pulls, a strong Digimon selection, and the option to build a deck from it? I can choose between Digital World Shambala, Dual Revolution, Hacker's Slumber, Versus Monsters and World Convergence. I'm leaning towards Versus Monsters for the retro feel — and because it takes me back to 2002, the first time I ever saw a PS1 game running on a Sony TV.

  6. Is a single booster box enough "raw material" to build a deck?

  7. Can you mix sets in one deck? I also really like World Convergence, so I'm torn between those two boxes.

I know this is a long post and it's giving deep noob vibes. I also know that with a bit more research I could probably work most of this out myself. But I got excited about stepping away from Pokémon for a while and finding some joy in another TCG, one from a series I genuinely grew up loving.

Thanks in advance to anyone who takes the time to read and reply!

Fanmade Imperial Playmat Sketching

Got back into sketching after 2 decades.

Plan to make this a playmat for my friend for topping in regionals. Shout out to Souichirou, I couldn't wing this from the head so I looked at his imperial virus for guidance. Once I'm done with that barrel thing on his back...I should be done.

In short, this dragon sucks to draw.
