Question/Help Are 1:18 diecasts pricing like that?

Context: I prefer to collect models of classic cars, and lets just say i consider $100+ ex.

First time wanting to try collect 1:18, so im ignorant in pricing.

Take a 1:18 Solido Citroen Traction 7 for example. It goes for like $150 on Ebay including shipping. Then I seen some Sunstar and Lucky diecasts going for like $100+ ~ $150+. Fabulous Hudson Hornet goes for $150+ on ACME.

The pricings are normal for 1:18s? (Ebay numbers goes crazy, especially shipping). I did not go 1:43 because the pricing they have are like close to 1:18. Ik Autocult and Esval specialise in old cars but they are in resins and sold in euros.

Also whats with most diecasts company having a catalog page but everything is like out of stock

1:18 Finally, a retail win.

1:18 scale 25th Anniversary Edition of the Mona Lisa. I am so happy I scored this at retail. The bay has them going insane and I didn’t want to have to fork over the wild amounts over there. There were 2 of Brian’s Supra, as well. I considered getting them to trade, but decided to leave them behind for the next 2 collectors to find the joy I did. I chose this over the Supra because, while I’ll always be a JDM guy over all else, Nissan specifically really holds my heart. less

1:64 [Gem] Tomica Premium No. 10 Lamborghini Countach LP500S (2015-2021)

Showing some love to a retired piece from the Tomica Premium mainline: the No. 10 Lamborghini Countach LP500S. Released back in October 2015 and retired in April 2021, this 1:61 scale model has become quite sought after on the secondary market.

The blue finish paired with the gold telephone-dial wheels looks incredible under display lighting. Plus, having that signature Tomica working suspension on a wedge supercar casting is always a fun touch. Anyone else managed to keep this early No. 10 slot in their collection, or are you hunting down secondary market inventory?

1:24 / 1:25 I acquired a Franklin Mint Countach.

There was a vendor at the Pittsburgh Vintage Grand Prix with a bunch of diecasts. Normally I collect 1/18 but this caught my eye. It's 34 years old and in great shape. So I added it to my collection. I remember Franklin Mint used to have some cool novelties for collectors when I was a kid. Not sure what they do now, but this is a nice model with plenty of opening parts and details.

Want to Buy Best sites with selection

What’s everyone’s go to website or websites? I’m looking for 1:18 scale models with functional features like doors, hoods, trunk, etc. preferably models that most would consider “everyday traffic” or more average cars.
