Question Error code "currant" while using tethering USB from phone

Hey, I've been having this issue for a while now. Unfortunately I am temporarily living abroad and have no home internet, so I'm using my phone as router.

I've used it in the past (but different countires) without problems, and now I keep getting this error during the loading of an activity. IF the activity manages to load I have no issues at all, I can play as long as I want without any stuttering or errors.

Did anyone have the same issue and managed to fix it? or it's just something related to my current situation and can't really be solved?

I have the same exact issue and I'm on wifi. the only way I've managed to "solve" it is by using cloudflare warp, but that also restricts me from matchmaking with people so I can only use it for solo purposes. other than that I have no clue and it's really annoying

Apparently it's an issue related to my italian ISP.

I solved it using proton vpn as it's free, you might want to check it out if you want to matchmake

I started having problems now lol. Game is now telling me I have a strict NAT while using Proton. Are you using the free version as well?

I have the free version and yes I get the strict NAT warning as well, but I've found that it doesn't actually affect matchmaking negatively, too much at least. I've only noticed 1 out of maybe 5 times the game will load me into an activity alone, but that still beats getting currant coded three times in a row while I'm trying to play the god damn game

Ok same experience then, I was reading that proton has moderate nat in the free version, but they changed it "recently" and put it behind the subscription.

I hope bungo's janitor's cousin will be able to fix this network problem, which is likely since it affects half Europe

A VPN would be helpful as whatever ISP you are on may block connection to Bungie servers. D2 is also banned in certain countries. This is why it works in some countries / ISPs and not others.

Normally in banned countries you will get a Tapir error, so I'm guessing it's an ISP restriction where you are seeing Currant errors.

I did some testing with different connections and it's definitely the ISP, TIM the main italian ISP to be precise. I was then able to find more posts about this and seemingly it is solved by using a VPN which is annoying to say the least.

On bungie help they answered saying they are looking into it and that's an issue originated in MoT. But probably there's no one left to fix it.

This sucks because it seems that it isn't just the mobile connection from said italian ISP but also the wired home connection.

Anyways thanks for your answer, you're correct
