Discussion Need help finding a song
It's been driving me crazy for 3 days looking for this song I only vaguely remember. I want to say it sounds like either psycho frame or signs of the swarm, the part I recall is a breakdown I think at the beginning but I'm not 100% sure
The description is going to sound stupid I know but my hope is someone understands what I mean
Chug chug chug chug (not sure how many)
Then
Racking the slide on a handgun
Then
I want to say maybe some symbols or another sharp sound bite possibly a shot I'm not sure
I can hear the wet vocals from David simonich in my head doing the song but I'm not positive he's the vocalist. I am fairly sure its newer but has that Myspace era sound
There also might be a "whaaoooo* type low vocal? Fuck I know this is super vague but I can hear it in my head and need my ears to hear it. I appreciate it

Discussion Who's that drummer for you that has your favorite style of playing?
For instance, if I showed you a song you've never heard before with that drummer on the lineup, you could probably take a few guesses on who it was after a while. Example being someone like Josh Miller (Darko US, Ex-Spite) who is just an absolute groove monster that can change the pace of a song without interrupting the flow and really take control of the entire structure without it sounding boring. Anthony Barone (Ex-A Night In Texas, Beneath The Massacre, Shadow of Intent) with scary technicality, precision and blast beats that could convince an octopus that they're related. Or Byron London (Crown Magnetar) who is Barry Allen with the double bass and there's certain fills he uses in multiple songs that always catch my ear and give it that Crown flavor.
I understand it's not the easiest instrument to distinguish from band to band particularly in this genre and the dudes listed may not even sound different from each other to everyone. It can't be a coincidence that several of the bands/albums I like have shared the same drummer at certain points though.

Discussion What’s your dream lineup for a show?
4 bands. Pick your dream lineup.
Usually I’m more of a symphonic deathcore guy so it would be:
Shadow Of Intent (Headliner)
Angelmaker
Carcosa (Must do Righteous man. & Johnny, just stay on the stage)
Netherwalker (Opener)
But lately I’ve been into more of the “fuck you” type of music so right now I’d love to see:
The Acacia Strain (Headliner)
Bodysnatcher
Psycho-Frame
Mauled (Opener)
Very curious to hear your guys’ dream lineups!

Discussion Best Deathcore songs
I am starting an internet radio station and while i like some deathcore stuff, im not super into the scene of everything and i have much more knowledge of metalcore, so what are some must-have songs that are needed when i would like to play some deathcore, so far some bands that i have that im planning to play on this station are some modern metal, knocked loose, no cure, fromjoy, chelsea grin, whitechapel, boundaries, the plot in you and many more, but any suggestions would help. thanks!

Why does no one talk about this album?
All Shall Perish is a legendary band, and people praise The Price of Existence, and Awaken the Dreamers (rightfully), but I never see any love for this record.
Why is that?

Mauled - Mauled
Mauled are genuinely my favorite deathcore band right now, absolute bangers all throughout their 2 EPs. Hopefully we get a full length at some point next year or the year after

Discussion Clarity on the Archspire Drummer Fiasco
I will say upfront I'm not a massive Archspire fan, however I do greatly respect their musicianship and the way they handle business (Independent Artists will always have my respect).
They just released their documentary of the making of Too Fast to Die. To my surprise, the first 15 minutes dove into the whole drum audition fiasco. I've seen a lot of comments over the past year on how the band was lame for having this competition, only to pick someone they knew.
Well the full story has come out and wow, massive respect to the Archspire guys for handling the situation the way they did.
The TLDR is: They DID pick a drummer from the competition (they kept his identify anonymous in the doc, but if you really care to figure out its fairly easy). However when they went to go record it became pretty clear they could not perform in a high stress, need to perform environment. This sent the band scrambling.
I can't imagine the stress the boys must have been feeling and I hugely appreciate them being as candid as they are in the doc, highly recommend.
EDIT: guys nobody in the band said he faked shit.
