Christopher Nolan avoided CGI and used 7ft stuntmen to portray Laestrygonians in The Odyssey. The giant leader, King Antiphates, is portrayed by actor Josh Stewart, while Matt Damon’s stunt double is Devyn Dalton, who is just under 5ft.

Makes so much sense now! I watched it last night in awe of how real they looked moving through, I'm like, they must have found real giants, but super smart of forced perspective and stunt doubles being shorter like Hobbits, loved it!!
