Christopher Nolan avoided CGI and used 7ft stuntmen to portray Laestrygonians in The Odyssey. The giant leader, King Antiphates, is portrayed by actor Josh Stewart, while Matt Damon’s stunt double is Devyn Dalton, who is just under 5ft.

I mean, there was a dude who played a 5/4 scale Ian McKellan and another fella played a 3/5 scale Elijah Wood in the lord of the rings films.

It’s not unusual

“Doctor, doctor, you’ve got to help me. I cant stop singing Delilah and The Green Green Grass of Home.”

“Hmm,” says the doctor, “sounds like you’ve got Tom Jones Syndrome”

“Tom Jones Syndrome?” says the man, “I’ve never heard if that. Is it rare?”

“Well,” says the doctor “it’s not unusual.”
